So that you can run a more powerful amp !These MTX subs will play with 1500-2000 watts, but I know they can take more than that.save some more money, and find a more powerful amp if you can.I run sundown amps, and like them a lot. The Saz 1500 run my sub like a champ !!!
August 25, 201015 yr Whats the RMS rating for the MTX?If it's as above 1500w or so, the Crescendo 3000D would be a great amp. That's the best bang for the buck out there right now.If I was in the market for new amps I would be all over 2 of them for myself.

August 26, 201015 yr each sub is 1000wrms , in this case id pick the AQlike some1 said above the cresendo wud be a great amp for these subs , save some $ & do it right the 1st time & make sure u have the electrical to back it up
