Hey guys i am going to make a template for my sub box so i can pre drill some holes on the mounting board of my box so that way i can just toss the sub in and then use the t-nuts and screw it in. I want to pre-drill due to the style of my box and it will be very tricky to drill with the sub being there.

please take note of how the subs will mount and they will be mounted inverted.

at any rate i am going to make a cutout out of some steel that way i can position everything before i get the subs back from re-cone and just drop them in and away i go.

Now (finally) my question is what radius is the screw holes on? if the cutout is 11inch and the overall is 12.5 will the screws be on a a 11.75 diameter?

thanks for your help guys!

Kenneth

why not lay a sub face down on a piece of cardboard, then stick a marker, pen, pencil or something through the mounting holes to the cardboard to mark the holes, then go around the outside of it for the outsie cut out.....

Ya good idea thanks

Bur the reason why I asked is because I don't have the subs yet and I want to get this done before I get them

lol.... ooops..... I believe they have a standard cast basket..... If you know someone who has a 12" sub with a standard cast basket lying around you could use it, or if someone just had an one off a sub that wasn't any good anymore you could lay it in the holes and skip the template.... just an idea...
