April 1, 201114 yr Author How much does it hit by, try shaving down where the speaker mounts if its not by that much?Hits by a lot, actual baffle hits so I can't just trim it. I'm gonna redo both doors in a few weeks when I'm not burnt out.
April 1, 201114 yr Everthing is looking great Stef. I am definately tuned in for the duration of this build!
April 26, 201114 yr Didn't I read that you got your Tbelt changed out? Did you get your enclosure from Andrew yet? I can say from doing my son's sub enclosures that it is time consuming. We spent a ton of time sanding. Yes, as mentioned about fleece does soak up a ton of resin. I'm planning some door pods for my next project and I have been taking notes on all the glassing I have been seeing so hopfully I have a few more "tricks of the trade" before I get started. So many builders make it look so easy.Tuned for more updates...
April 26, 201114 yr Author I'm getting it changed this week One less thing to deal with.As for the enclosure, we had some problems fitting the ports in the original design, so were doing a new box. It should be awesome when it's done The more glassing I do, the less sanding I find myself having to do. Perhaps I'm slowly getting better at it. I'm also in the process of moving, so I have the majority of my tools at the new house, so going back and forth in limbo land I bought a cool looking amp for my mids and highs, vibe litebox 2 channel. Nothing fancy, but should be a lot better then hu power. Also got a cheap pair of vibe 6.5s just so I can finish up the door pods.Hopefully next week I'll have a pod done and some new pictures

April 26, 201114 yr Those mids have some nice eye appeal!! What are the measurements on that amp? Looks really small but the specs on it seem pretty strong.
April 26, 201114 yr What are the specs on that amp? I have seen a few around but haven't looked into them.
April 26, 201114 yr Author 4 ohms: 90 watts x 2 chan.2 ohms: 125 watts x 2 chan.Bridged, 4 ohms: 250 watts x 1 chan.Dimensions: 5-1/4"D x 8-1/4"W x 2"HJust finished installing it, current hertz coaxials sound cleaner and a lot louder, too bad their only 5 1/4s with next to zero midbass.
April 26, 201114 yr Author It won't be long and your mb problem will be solved That's the plan I was originally going to get those hi-vis from madisound, but saw the vibes, looked cool, figured its a comp set, gotta be better then my coaxials, impulse buy Some more pictures, just boring stuffHaven't cleaned up wiring or anything yet, just temp until I finish up the sub area and figure out where everything is going. I think I'll make a cover behind the battery, and mount the amp on the side. Gotta love how small it is
April 27, 201114 yr give a review of the vibe equipment when you get the chance. i've looked at their products so many times that i'm losing it haha. looks good for temporary
