is a Sony xplode 1200w amp good for the Skar VVX 12's ( 600 rms/ea) or any ideas of a cheap but powerful amp i could get.

I doubt that sony's putting out rated power. Theres lots of choices out there. Sundown Audio makes great amps and they sell them right here at ssa. Or you could look into audioque. Theres lots out there....theres 2

Dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm

Get a Audiopipe 1500 if you're on a budget. Get a sundown 1500 if you don't really have a budget :):dancing:

well im going to get the dual 4 ohm subs. and run an aq 1200 at 1

  • 2 weeks later...

i have been running my AQ1200 on 1 Ohm for awhile never had a problem with it, i could never even get it close to warm, very good amp for price
