Posted July 25, 201114 yr This is my first box im going to build, and its going into a 95 honda accord. I may increase the height to 17 or 18 if i can fit it. I talk to guy at my local audio shop and they would charge me $250 to build it and he told me not to use a areo/tube port that is was 90's tech and nobody uses it now and slot was the way to go. I wanna use a tube port to save space. What are you guys thoughts on this box
July 25, 201114 yr No one uses aeros anymore? Thats damn hilarious. I cant wait to see a 18" squeezed into a accord. Lol. Build log??
July 25, 201114 yr The major variable to determain your minumum port size is going to be input power.A 6" Areo would be fine at most normal tunings at moderate to high output levels. The only way you will know for sure is to model for vent velocity. The guy at the shop is a moron, I would not trust the box design from him....

July 26, 201114 yr Author Now I want to build a box like the one below, and my questions are how do I calculate the ports lengths. dimensions are 14h x 33w x 35dDo I use a port length calculator and just divide the length(36") in half for both ports & make each port wall 18 inches long & 5 inches wide?
