March 30, 201213 yr Those are gorgeous. I think they'll be the new best seller you guys will have given their power rating. Can't wait to find a reason to buy one and play with it!!!Me too! I have another wild hair up my ass.
March 30, 201213 yr Author Admin We are rating them at 750w RMS I do believe was the thought on them...
March 30, 201213 yr Can I get a bigger dustcap on that 10? I see just a bit too much cone for my tastes. lol
March 30, 201213 yr Those look great man, very beefy for what they are.Let me know when you have one ready to go, I wouldn't mind picking it up and playing with it for enclosure purposes.....and just because I want to. lol
March 30, 201213 yr Author Admin Thought you guys would appreciate photos from the good camera. I had left it at the wood shop. All is right in the world now.GCONs look very beefy in person.
March 30, 201213 yr Just another one I'll have to try out. It just wouldn't be right to not try all of the SSA subs.
March 31, 201213 yr We are rating them at 750w RMS I do believe was the thought on them...You are not sure what the wrms rating is on the driver you are selling? Edited March 31, 201213 yr by edouble101
March 31, 201213 yr Looks odd to see a surround that big on a 750wrms? driver. Not concerned about tinsel lead slap?
March 31, 201213 yr Admin Looks odd to see a surround that big on a 750wrms? driver. Not concerned about tinsel lead slap?We are not going to bring to production a driver with tinsel slap issues. Xmax will be less then the Icon, and lead slap is not an issue on the Dcon.

Pricing, wattage ratting and production specs are not officially released yet.

Pricing, wattage ratting and production specs are not officially released yet. What changes are being made? The motor design was changed several times, suspension switched twice, coil changed, surround changed, dust cap changed. The drivers you see in the pictures Mark just posted are production ready drivers. Same as with the Zcon, we are doing last minute things and finalizing everything up before listing them up on the SSA Store.
March 31, 201213 yr Great to see these photos. Was getting texts at work asking if i had seen them yet and how awesome they look. Of course my longest day ever had to wait another 12 hours to see them myself! The suspension looks "unique". What's different than your other drivers? Seems like everything is higher from the basket or something, cant quite figure it out. Shallower basket maybe? Or am I just seeing things?

Or am I just seeing things? The suspension is similar to the Dcon in that it uses Nomex spiders, but clearly these are different as this is a 3" coil and the Dcon is a 2" coil. The distance between the base of the cone and the spiders is a tiny bit different, but not much. Same basket as the rest of our models.
March 31, 201213 yr Well they're pucking sweet, when do we get a video of one playing? I want to see a little free air action!
