I know a lot of people have built their own sub boxes or have had one custom done for their needs. For the people that have built their own. How hard would you say it is? also are there any diy's out there?

its easy if you have the right tools its as hard as u make it if u design a crazy box it will be crazy hard if its simple its easy you just have to make sure you do it right because the box is every thing you can have the best sub and best amp bt with a crappy box it will sound crappy but its fairly easy to do it your self

I wouldn't waste money on a pre-fabbed box that comes from a mass produced supplier. The specs are always questionable and always seem to be tuned higher than they advertise IF they even specify it.

The best thing to do would be to hit up DC Creations, Triple R Performance, or another reputable box builder and get the box built right. It's a little more expensive but worth it in the long run.

I build boxes. It can be quite easy - or a PITA. What tools do you have? What setup are you planning on(subs, amps, car, etc.)?

I built my box. I tried to incorporate 45's into it. Never again will I do that especially since all I have to cut with is a circular saw. I still like the DIY part of building my own box and the savings cost if you like to try different things. Live and Learn
