Hey guys, just looking to see what your opinion is on the best multimeter brands for starting off are. Im an apprentice mechanic and am looking to buy a quality multimeter but dont want to spend the money on a FLUKE. Too expensive as of now. Ill be willing to pay maybe 100-150 bucks on a brand new one and am just curious as to what works for you guys!

Thanks for your help!

$100-150 gets you way more than what is needed.

Go to Sears and get a $30 Craftsman multi meter. I had mine for over 10 years and I use it all the time.

Understood. But Id like to have a quality product I know that its 100% accurate, testing sensors that only vary in a few millivolts will be hard with an inaccurate meter. Not saying that the $30 meter isnt good, im just looking for a higher quality is all.

What sensors are you testing?

For a multimeter for sensor work something like a Keithley 2700 is pretty nice.
