Finally got my hands back on some straight street jam material. AKA: Qs and a BTL UFO

I've seen some UFO BTLs have a spacer in between basket and the motor. Is this just an adapter for basket patterns or is it a beneficial option to the sub?

Excited for my new Fi experience and so is the wife =]

I didn't have this spacer for my btl. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Should I do the HiXcoil option if I'm building for a 12"? Its for daily so I would say yes? Does the longer coil give more potential cooling abilities?

I would advise getting all options.

The motor is what has the options, so I just need to get the Hixm or normal flatwound

High xmax :)

Waiting to see the condition of the motor before I order a recone.  Just want to make sure the pole is not shifted.  Happens that the only sub I have with soft parts in it is the one I'm trying to sell.  imagine that.  So I'm rockin it.

Got the motor in and its in really good condition. Ready to recone. With the longer coil would I need a spacer or use washers? anyone?

I still am seeing spacers on these.  I ordered a recone with HiXmcoil, so I think I will need one to prevent the coil from slamming the raised motor lip.

I have the high Xmax coil and no spacer on my 18.
