I had a chance to pick up some 8 in midbass with the cast basket for super cheap cause of a coupon threw parts express, well best decision I've made in a while. So the first day I got them I scrapped my door pods for 2 6.5's per side and modified the factory location to fit an 8in mid. I was blown away with the difference in sound it made. More midbass and depth than the pwx 6.5's. I'll chime back in after they break in. So far they Are running on 50rms per driver high passed at 63hz 12db slope and no lpf until more power is applied. I'm highly pleased as of now. Definitely a great buy.

So which drivers were they?

I'm going to say it, cuz I know several people will think it....  "Imagine that, a genuine driver performing the intended job better than those "PA" drivers just like it's suggested all the time on here."  :P  lol

Glad to hear the new purchase/drivers are making you happy!

It would help us to know what product your reviewing, glad you found and upgrade for those pwx's (never cared for them).

I'm curious as to which driver it is as well since you're crossing them to 63hz with a 12db slope and I haven't seen any of their drivers go reasonably below 100hz in the 8" range except their 1 single neo driver that toots going down to like 62. I was actually looking at their entire 10" lineup and nothing looked good on paper for my application. Not a single driver that gets down to 40hz and none with a 3" or better VC. I have heard 2 setups with these and 1 sounded absolutely horrible, but loud. The other sounded great, but he had drivers all the way up to 15" in size and so many of them it didn't matter. I'd be willing to try the 10" size again depending on your end thoughts.
