    I'm 80% done with the sound deadner, the trunk deck is next. I didn't do the under side yet because I don't feel like uninstalling the factory subwoofer till it blows or until my new Fi sub gets here.

I would but the blue lights from above, light it up perfectly. I need to find a different filter because my camera makes everything appear blue which it doesnt do looking at it in person.

New Battery Terminals from Jim's MachineWorx for my front battery. You will see why I need these later on, probably this weekend if I start on the big 3 wiring.

When you buy battery terminals and the whole is too small for the bolt, just bring out the drill and get to work

VW wiring terminals suck as they do not allow you to take off the nut to allow more terminals to be added. No biggie as I can easily replace it. I actually love their grounding points, pretty effin dope of you ask me. The nut that holds the wires is back but the underside that meets the terminals is bare metal.

Big 2 of 3 wiring is complete plus factory wire upgrade for the negative side, all 3 wires are 2/0 welding cable. The positive side is going to be a whole different animal.

I like twins even if one is bigger than the other one. Love these batteries, the new underhood group 48 battery came resting at 12.96volts.

Factory battery was a group 43 but it had extra room left in the battery tray and seen a video on YouTube where a dude had a group 48 battery so I said F it and went bigger. New battery fit with no issues whatsoever. 

Voltage with Max AC and other features on now sits at 14.3v vs 13.8v with the factory battery in.

It looks like my idea may work to allow me to keep factory positive terminal intact while using my new battery distribution block.

A gift from my friend who got me started into installing systems back in 2007, I sent him a card package earlier this year and he returned the favor. Love true friends because a battery charger has been on my list for years and I never took the leap. I knew I kept that VW wire for a reason since they ask you not to connect the negative charging clamp to the negative battery terminal.

 

This Odyssey which is my trunk battery has been unhooked since the day (June 12) after my wreck and it still rests at 12.56 v but it needs to be maintained.

Drilled the hole for the trunk ground wire in the spare tire well.

Sanded off the paint and I also cut a channel in the foam lining of the spare tire support to allow the ground wires lay flat under the carpet.

Do i need a lot or just a little but underneath? Does it ever dry up and need to be reapplied? sorry for all the questions.

You just need a light layer.  It won't dry up.  It's basically just grease.  It will attract dirt obviously, but will keep any corrosion at bay.  I literally buy small paintbrushes from the dollar store, like water paint brushes, and use that to apply between the metal and the terminal and then I'll lightly coat over the terminal itself so it doesn't corrode.

Ok one last question do I do it on the grounds in the trunk? Will I have to still spray paint over to reduce the metal from rusting in the areas I sanded the paint down? Or can I just cover it with a layer of this and be ok?
