I’ve recently picked up a 2021 VW Arteon SEL-P RLine with the Harmon Kardon in it. Low end lacks a lot, so I’m looking for a way to integrate a better sub setup. Again, great work!

I loved that thing man when I was car shopping, but for what I got the Passat at that time brand new it was a no brainer. But everyday when I drive by one of those I drool. Dope ride for sure and thanks man.
April 4, 20223 yr Author So far it seems that I have eliminated the basic rattles inside the car. The rear over head light console should be quiet now. I added one layer of Soundskins speaker foam ring dampening. If you look closely between the black squashed dampening, you will see a black plastic trim piece that is attached the top side of the headliner. That was smacking against the roof of the car. This deadener is about 1 inch thick give or take and thickness is perfect, I had to jam it in there but it works great.

But as much as I love it especially with my trunk light. My next enclosure will be black with white aero port and white inside. This white just isn't as durable as the black bedliner and it gets dirty just by touching it. Even when you wash your hands, that oil from the skin shows. I really appreciate it, I think you gave me some of the idea before about either a white box or a white port. If it wasn't in this build log, it might of been in my Sonata build log.
April 16, 20223 yr Author Quick install in a 2017 Mercedes Benz C Class with the SSA Amp, sub is bridged on two channels. Other two channels will be used for interior speakers in the future.
April 17, 20223 yr Author I decided to not do the SMD fuse blocks and stayed with Jims Machine Works, they got here in two days after ordering which I was surprised.
April 17, 20223 yr Author The top covers are clear, I just haven't removed the protective covering yet. Don't want to sratch them so I'll wait till it's time to isntall until I do that.
April 30, 20223 yr Author Getting the voltage controller knob and relay wiring done so the installer will have less work to do when the H/O Alternator gets installed at the shop. Excuse the dirty mats, going out of town soon and didn't have time to clean out the car. Still waiting on relays to be delivered.

May 12, 20223 yr Author Relays are here and I also bought new 20amp Bussmann fuses. This is how my Alternators voltage regulator controller is going to be wired up, all new components for a piece of mine.
May 12, 20223 yr Author Bought some new RCAs from the SSA Store. The Audison one's are too bulky and just don't make my install look so appealing but otherwise they are great. The Stingers don't make good contact, if you turn them some or install them a certain why it drops some of the signal.
May 15, 20223 yr Author I'm trying to make it look as factory as possible and protect the wires for the alternator voltage regulator going into the engine bay.
May 18, 20223 yr Author These Rhyno RCAs seem to be dope so far, the connection is tight and the color scheme is real nice. They look perfect in their new home, thanks SSA. Edited May 26, 20223 yr by jcarter1885
May 21, 20223 yr Author There's no turning back now, the 8"s have arrived. It's time to get these front doors fondled and customized for a pair per door
