Hi, i own a 15" dual 2 BL running off a xtr2400 old school orion amp. ATM i'm running 1200watts(4ohms) to my 15. I recently owned a xtr1000, which ran 1000watts at 1ohm to my 15(which is why i have the dual 2 setup, and im an idiot for not getting universal option). But anyways now that i own this beastly amp, i would like to get the most out of it. I am thinking of buying another dual 2 15 BL and being able to wire it to 2ohms OR selling(craigslist) my 15 and buying a new 15 BTL dual 1 of course. To sums things up, what would be better output, loudness, slammin' balls wise: 2 15 BL'S or 1 15 BTL. And im sorta on a money budget right now... Greatly appreciate yalls thoughts and suggestions...

Im using a 6.3ft^3 box with a 5in. port for my 15, its hella loud. Thats before displacement as well.

My 12 Q ran fine on the amp settings i have now, would i still have to adjust to differ settings? BTW i want to make sure i have my speaker wires hook up right: My amp's terminals go... ++-- and if i run 4 wires from the amp to the four terminals on the speaker i should be fine right? Is there a specific way they should go? Thanks, Matt.

Hey guys, my BL came in today and i hooked everything up. Im using a 4.97ft^3 box tuned at 29 hz, and also an orion xtr 1000. Everything sounds fine, i just want to make sure how to play it in order to break it in properly. I did crank it up for a few seconds to see how insane it is and my ears are still hurting, which led to a blown fuse in my distribution block, which was a 60A(please comment on that) The dust cap also gets pretty warm but not hot, im not sure if thats normal. I will also admit that i am a complete idiot and should be shot becasue i drilled a hole through the rubber surrounding, i found out later that the holes were not lined up on the rubber surroundings which caused me to break a screw and blah blah im an idiot i know, but i did put rubber cement on the cut and it looks fine.

is it possible for a subwoofer that is being underpowered actaully blow or rather screw something up. Im just woundering if it could happen

My 12Q is running off a 1000w orion xtr and it TL'ed at 139.6 on the dash. Im very impressed with it and it puts out not only SQ but insane SPL for a single 12 i have some vidoes on youtube if u wanna watch them and get insight on it. If you want to compare the Q to the W7's just know the Q out performs it anyday. My friend with a 13 w7 admitted to it. -even though their like "apples and oranges" yatta yatta lol
