I've been working on brackets for numerous GM trucks and cars, but it seems there are a lot of vehicles where nothing is available. For those interested in a multiple alternator bracket for their vehicle and they aren't sure if I have one available, please ask here. Once you request a bracket I will look into making one as soon as possible, or let you know if I have something already ready to go. Please include the make, model, year, and engine size of your vehicle. It is important to have this information because some vehicles had small changes between years that make a big difference. Thanks, Troy

I'm posting here because it's the only place I'm sure you'll see it. Troy I paid for my 4.3 blazer bracket on January 24. Prior to this all emails were answered with prompt replies. Here is the one after my payment: "I'm hoping to have the final prototype tested this week. As long as it checks out good I will have a few made up within 2-3 weeks, another few days to powder coat, and it will be in the mail. Thanks again, I will shoot over a few pics when I'm test fitting. Troy " It's now April. I have sent MULTIPLE emails over the last few weeks and have got nothing. I haven't received pictures. I haven't received updates. I certainly haven't received my bracket. Could yo…

Hello everyone, thank you for the warm welcome. I have been a member here for years, as well as several other forums under the screen name tejcurrent. I used to compete often, though in the last 16 months I've had two children that deserved my weekends a bit more. I redesigned my system to be a daily listening vehicle that could still do decent numbers, and I wanted a charging system that could keep up. I began making multiple alternator brackets that could meet my power demands, while being all but transparent with my factory system. I set out a goal to make the best brackets hands down, and I believe I have succeeded. I believe anyone who tries my products will agree wi…

Here is pics of my Tejcurrent quad alt and bracket install in my 99 silverado. install took around 3-4 hours total. instructions were very detailed though, with very good pictures to help. thanks Troy! pics of the alts and all hardware out of the box! old mechman alt the ECM has to be moved forward to allow clearance. to do so take the battery tray out and the ecm will unbolt. bolt it back in forward so that the second hole is now in the first position make sure you grind off the powdercoating around the mounting bolts before you install or you wont get a good ground connection.

Having used many different alternators on my Tahoe, some time ago I began working on an alternator that would fit my needs. Using the large ad244 case and all brand new components, these are geared for daily use in almost all GM trucks and suv's from the early 90's up to '05. The plug is an oval 4-pin, which through an adapter may fit other harnesses, and can be made to fit 05+. You can expect to see idle output at 150 amps and 230 amps at highway speeds. I actually tested over 170 amps consistently and repeatedly on engines idling in the 7-800 rpm range, which is where many manufacturers rate things, and many v6 models run. I feel that 600-700 rpms is pretty average idl…

this has been an ongoing thing for me and i cant sit on it anymore. late last year i ordered 4 tejcurrent alts and a quad bracket. alts came in, everything was fine, till early this year i started having problems. 1 alt went out, sent it in, Troy fixed it and said he was going to ship it out asap. well shortly after this, i had the rest tested, they wer all fine so i put them all back on with my stock alt in the missing ones position. 3 days later EVERY ONE OF THE ALTS quit working, even the stock. took them off, put my mechman 270 back on and it has worked fine ever since. the alts have a 1 year warranty. i have tried contacting him several times since. no answer to emai…

Help me in welcoming Tejcurrent. He is a long time member for here at SSA several years, and recently began making multiple alternator brackets. What better way to take it to the next level then a section here. Welcome!

I purchased an alternator bracket from Troy Jones (tejcurrent) nearly 4 weeks ago. Since my purchase, I am completely disgusted by the level of service I have received from Troy. I have been more than patient for my bracket which I paid in full without hesitation due to various recommendations from friends in the CA community. I feel taken advantage of, scammed, and I want everyone that's looking to buy an alternator bracket NOT to use TEJCURRENT. At this point, I don't want the bracket. I want my money back in full. I will not have my Hummer be seen with this brand filled with scamming and bad service attached to it. As a business owner, I would be absolutely e…

I wanted to do something for black Friday, so I would put out a few of the most popular items, and a few new ones. These prices are good for this week- starting today and ending Saturday. These prices are only good until 11:59 Saturday night. Period. First off is the 220a GM alternator, fitting most 99-2005 GM full sized trucks and suvs. It is slightly less beefy than the previous 230, which makes room for the 250 that will be released within the month. The 220 still has ratings of 135 idling amps and 230 peak. On sale for $240, this alternator would be a great fit for those on the fence about buying a new alternator or an additional battery. If used in multiple they're …
