Hello All- I have made the decision to move back to California and my last day at Mechman will be Wednesday, May 9th. All of your questions for sales, technical assistance or anything else can be answered by any of the other staff here at Mechman, and they will be present here on the forums just as I have been. This has been a great experience, one that added much knowledge on top of my years of experience, and it is unfortunate that life has pulled me back to California. I am thankful for my time working here at Mechman, for the customers I have helped, and for the people I have met, and leave here with new friends, business associates and knowledge that I can share wi…

I ended up getting 07mercs alt. Instead of getting a used one, I was wondering how much you would charge me for one. Just need a black or grey one for a 6g alt, since the white one is for pcm controlled. funny thing is its 5 different regulators lol Would be one of these not sure what soft start and transpo mean exactly http://store.alternatorparts.com/f605-6g-series-alternator-voltage-regulator.aspx http://store.alternatorparts.com/partnof600.aspx

i have 2 batteries (group 31) and a 240A mechman alt. i just got my amps back today from repair and while driving (even on high way) the voltage drops. i got as low as 12.4 during most songs while at a high volume. lower volumes it performs much better than factory but im looking to stabilize my setup even at high volumes. i did some drive testing today and my RPM sits at 650 idle, 1100 on most road driving and 1600 at 55Mph. when i turn O/D off the voltage seems to stabilize a bit more but still not perfect. upgrade to a larger alt? add another battery? add a second alt? thoughts?

Why do my lights flicker with a 300amp mechman in a 2009 Jeep liberty? Charging voltage driving down the road is 14.4 plus and it never goes below 13.4 with the stereo cracked up all the way. I am only drawing around 2000 watts.

Last weekend the Mechman Jeep had to pull a full-size Blazer up a muddy obstacle. Temps in the 20's, wet ground don't make for a lot of fun when you are stuck, but the 14v batteries with the 270a Mechman alternator power this Smittybilt 8k winch quite well. Check out the video to see what this is all about- <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-UaN6RAOGuQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://youtu.be/-UaN6RAOGuQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UaN6RAOGuQ&list=UUJjdch1py9Moz126daEkBGg&index=1&feature=plcp So who here wants 14v power?

I have a 260amp mechman alternator, and I just got it back from sending it in for repair. The alternator has never charged right from the first day I got it, and I thought maybe after it was warranty repaired it would charge at the correct voltage. Nope after a month of waiting, it charges at around 14.0 from 800rpms-1500rpms. 14.1-14.2 from 1600-up. It's supposed to be 14.4 at idle, but it little rally puts out nothing at anything under 800rpms, which my truck kinda varies from 500-800 for idle. The batteries are fine cause they sit at 13.3, and all my belts are tight. The pulley is already probably the smallest they can fit on this alt, so it's not that. My voltage even…
