SoundQubed should invest in this sticker and give it away with the HDS200 and HDS300 series subwoofers:

  3. HDS208 - The Baddest 8" woofer you'll ever encounter (Pricing and Availability to be announced)The HDS208, your cost efficient 8" woofer designed with familiar SoundQubed reliability and performance. Our HDS200 subs have been very successful and have became the blueprint for the HDS208 design. This woofer is a beast at 600W RMS, a cast frame, 2.5" copper coil and back plate venting to coil it in the tightest situations. The high efficiency starts with a strong 2.5" voice coil powered by a motor structure patterned after the energy model of the HDS2.5 structure. We like subs that can pound with authority and the HDS's play just like their bigger brothers. High temperature…

  4. Hey folks. I've been considering this amplifier for a friend as the first step up to a decent amplifier, but I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience with these being used at 1/2 ohm and if they're stable that low. I can wire the drivers for 2 ohms, but I'd rather go lower if the amplifier can cope with it, even though something tells me we're going to have charging system issues well before any amplifier over-current scenarios. Thanks in advance!

I am in process of rebuilding my S10 for MECA's Street 2 SPL class. I am just torn between the HDC3 or 4 15. I will be running 2 2200's strapped for power. I can usual pull about 320 amps of current in the class so I think 2 2200's strapped at 2 ohms nominal would be an optimum choice. So on that note, opinions of which sub to use. I have had alot of experience with the HDC3's and found them to handle large amounts of power. I just know for rated power, I will be going way past peak power handling on the HDC3, but I do not want to get an HDC4 and not be able to move it with just 4 k in power. Looking at upgrading the factory speakers in my Focus. Car has the Sony system "upgrade". I don't intend on amping the speakers for now, so I'd like something that will work well with what I have. The car comes with a component setup from the factory but I've been looking at the new 6.5" coaxials on the SQ site. There is also the component setup but I can't tell if the tweeter is removable on the component setup though so that may not work. Factory setup is 4ohm at 25w RMS from what I was able to dig up. I'm trying to get a nice clear sound so I guess I was wondering how well going with the coaxials might work? On the Focus forums the Infinity PR6500CS 6.5 seem…

  8. Hey guys, I am needing some direction or reassurance in what I'm doing with my port. This is my first time working with an 18" sub and with SoundQubed equipment. According to soundqubed.com, the HDC3 18" wants a box anywhere from 5-6 cubes with a vent of 96sq" x 18" long. To me, that port seems odd. So I just got done designing my box. External dimensions are 25" x 25" x 26" but I'm using double sheets of .75 MDF, so each measurement take off 3". I calculate internal space at 22" x 22" x 23" = 11,132 inches = 6.44 cubes. Rough internal space after ONLY sub displacements is 6.4ish cubes. My desired tuning frequency is 31-32hz, because the fs of this sub is 31hz. So, I …

HDS3-10 Dual 2ohm. I'm not that great at building boxes nor do I have the tools anymore so I'm looking to get a prefab. For the 10" SQ recommends one of this following. 20.0 sq" vent x 23" long - or - 24.0 sq" vent x 22" long Would this be about right for this sub? Width: 18" Depth: 16 1/2" Height: 13 1/2" Gross Airspace: 1.72 Cu.Ft. Net Airspace: 1.50 Cu.Ft. Port Dimensions: 12" x 1 1/2" x 21 1/4" Tuned @ 36Hz Port Volume: .22 Constructed with industrial U.S. grade 3/4" MDF.

I don't have to tools required to build a box. I'm looking around on eBay for a decent box for the HDS310 and the best thing I can really find is this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390824040731&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 I messaged the seller, he said it's tuned @ 36hz. It's stated it's 1.5cf and made with 3/4 MDF. On the "Box Sizes and Tuning" page, it states 1.25cf or 1.5 for the 10. Would this box be fine? I'm not sure on the port length/width.

  19. I REALLY want to try some of the subs, but can't fit the mounting depth of any of them in my crew cab f250... I refuse to go the flat, shallow sub route. Any chance that you guys will be making a sub that's more in the 5" depth range? Pretty please??

I cannot find anything about what size enclosure the HDS315 loves to eat up, i was thinking something in the 3-5 cube range? 32-37hz? Help please i feel enclosure recommendations is something SoundQubed should look into putting on the website considering all the love they have been getting from the community and all the people i have seen asking the same question on other forums.

Hey everyone, new on this forum but not really new to car audio, I have a question regarding soundqubed's amplifiers. I am stuck between getting a 2200 and the 3500. But I have heard rumors that the 2200 has problems, shares parts with the hifonix brand things like that. The 3500 has its downsides too though such as requiring very stiff voltage, and being that much more of a bummer if I lose it to vibration, moisture, life kinda things. Should I save up for the 3500? Or buy the 2200 and strap them in the future if I want more powe. Thank you for your input

  24. Hey everyone, this thread is me clearing up a few questions I have about HDC3's and HDC4's. These are the two subs in question. (so it's easy to reference ) HDC3: http://www.soundqubed.com/HDC3118-Copper-Coil-Subwoofer_p_25.html HDC4: http://www.soundqubed.com/HDC418-D1-A-_p_137.html We are talking about 18" only Whats the story behind the high Fs of the HDC'4? Was this a non broken in woofer or something? The suspension is that stiff? (equivalent HDC3 is 9hrz lower IIRC) Between the HDC3's copper coil & the HDC4's aluminum …
