Alright, i'm running a fosgate p450.4 bridged on a set of polk db comps, and a fosgate p1000-1bd (1230 at 1 ohm out of the box). My alty went out shortly before I put in the new system, so I upgrade to a 130 amp alternator, if i had more money at the time would have went larger. I also got an optima yellow-top. My lights are dimming like mad, and the sub is running a little warm, it's a 15" Q with bp power so i know i'm not over-driving it. i'm guessing lucky to get 900 watts to it after voltage loss. I'm considering getting a box built for 2 10" subs (or at least a box will be made for the subs). I'm wondering if there are any problems with putting in 2 terminal cups / 2 leads. Reason being is I'm running 1k right now. I might want to run 2 amps at 1k a piece. OR, I might just change my mind and run one big amp. If the box is made with 2 leads, then I will never have any issues but if it's made with just the one, I can never use 2 amps. So, are there any issues down the road? In particular, one big amp across two terminal cups? Without the issue of it changing final ohm loads of course (non issue).

Hey everyone! Im going to be buying my first subwoofer very soon! Right now im looking into an AA havoc 15" with an AudioQue 1200D in a 4.0cf enclosure tuned to 32hz. But more talk about the subwoofer. This subwoofer will cost about $500..... This is toooooo much money. And then i saw the fi q 15"! its about $390 shipped. Is it worth spending another $110 to get the Havoc? Im looking for SPQL (dont know if that exist sound pressure quality level) Thanks for the help!

In my town, we have absolutely nobody to consult for car audio...so I am in dire need of some advice. I have about $1000 budget (as posted above). I just put in a pioneer head unit, so that part is taken care of. With the budget, Ide like to replace the 4 stock speakers (all 5 1/4", 2 in the rear roof, 2 in the front door panels). And then I am sacrificing some space in the trunk for a sub box. My dimensions are 20" height, 35" width, 15" bottom depth", 8" top depth. I have no idea on what direction I want to go other than Im thinking 2 12's with the space I have and an amp to match them, but I really want to avoid extra batteries and alternators and so forth (if I can).…

I have a 2006 Mazda3 and a Kenwood DDX470 headunit. I also have Infinity 6829CF door speakers in my front doors, with stock speakers in the rear. Lastly, I have a Hifonics Brutus 1600.1D amplifier powering two Kicker CVX 10's at 1,200RMS @ 2Ohms. My problem is when I crank up my music, car on or off (but more so when the car is off), the radio will sometimes turn off and restart. My radio goes up to 35 on the volume wheel, with 32 being my self set distortion limit. I'm not sure it's really the song that matters, but I can crank up a song with a lot of bass to 32, and after beating away for 10 seconds or sometimes even less, the radio will just restart and then work nor…

I'm building an enclosure for 4 12in Solo Barics, 2007 models. The question I have is he's already got the gear and he bought one of the really long, thin Memphis 4000 watt mono amplifiers. Does anyone have any experience with these? I personally think it's overpriced. I'm hoping it turns out to be a decent amp but I want to make sure the setup goes well for him.

Ok i am looking for a song that is constant 35hz or really close for at least 30 seconds. I compete in MECA driveby kinda like bassrace except for its metered outside the vehicle. ive got a 300 amp alt that is made for a 08 ram. its a 6 groove pulley though, my old one is 7, can i put the 7 groove belt on the 6 groove pulley without changing the pulley?

Drivers side ... enough room for the mid right where the foot rest is, may be enough for the tweet too. Passenger side ... plenty of room for the mid in the area right by that plastic bolt. Paper template baffle in place. Similar to real life size (tweeter would be moved closer to the mid). Drivers side. Drivers side again. Trying to show where the mid could go. Hello fellow car audio fans. I am fairly new to the car audio world, but would like to get into competiting in a few local SPL comps in my 2003 Blazer 4 door. Not looking for anything special, not looking to spend alot of money, but I would like to get a 140dB in the Street A class. Prefer going the single 12" route, but its still up in the air. I do know I want Incriminator Audio woofer(s), but do not want to have to change alternators or anything terribly techincal. All input/suggestions will be GREATLY apprecaited. Thanks for your time.! What do you guys think of a btl 15 and an audioque 2200d

Well I have two tc sound ultra lms 18" and want to ship from the states NC to Kuwait. What should I do and or who should I use to ship them if I have to? Should I separate them and ship them that way or take them back with me in two separated suit cases. I like option two my self, but what do you guys think. I leave on friday so please help me out. im about to buy a amp for my alpine type r in a few days and its rated at 500rms and i dont know what would be a good amp to power it. my budget is 150$

I noticed this problem starting about a week ago. My sub will lose output by about half and play like that for a while, then start pounding again. It doesn't seem to matter if the volume is high or low. I checked all the wiring going into the amp and everything is tight. Took the sub out of the box and recrimped everything. I'm running the stock HU, an MTX RFL600D and a 10" Clarion SW1051. Amp is only running at 4 ohms (rated 300 watts @ 4 ohms). Stock electrical also. Lights don't dim at all. I've got a spare sub laying around, but it's a 12" and I don't have a box for it and no means to whip up a temporary box. What's the best way to start eliminating what the problem c…

Two weeks ago i installed 2 15"inch kicker l7's,which are runnig off a (kole audio)2400 watt amp.The box for the subs is a very small sealed box,actually its a prefab box called groundshaker lol..It gets pretty loud.Some where aroun next week im going to have a box built by a member on here by the name of (soundvibration) ..My question is these subs can handle 1000 rms and i was wondering if it would get alot louder with the RF1500 or saz1500 not sure which one but would the amp make a huge diffrence or just keep the one i have?The reason i ask is ca use alot of times people say 500 watts isnt any different to the ear,or does that not apply to me cause its a cheap amp i h…
