I just finished installing my first amped set of components, and i have a few problems. The components are being ran bridged from a 4 channel (channels 1+2 and channels 3+4) The gain is matched to the head unit voltage (2 volts), and the ssf is being used as the hpf for the comps and the switch on the amp is set to "full". The rca's are hooked up as followed: Front left @ hu to ch1 @ amp Front right to ch2 back left to ch3 back right to ch4 I used this same head unit (alpine cda-105) with my "old" system without the components but with a subwoofer. There were no problems with the system then. I am using the same ground in the rear that i have been using for my sub amp. I …

Okay, so i am wanting to build a box for my two Sa-12s. The width of the box is 40" The height is 13" The depth is 16" The total box volume without subwoofer displacement or port displacement is 3.709. Im trying to get a frequency of 35hz. I want to go with an aero port but im not really sure what would be a good size? I did the online calculators and for a 6" aero it would need to be about 12" long. My only concern is if this is going to be enough port area for two Sa-12s? If its not what could i do to get a good port area for theses subs?

Hello everyone just need a little bit of advice if someone could help me out! Here is the scenario. I have a 2001 ford windstar minivan with this done: 2 alpine type rs hifonics brutus 1200 rms 4 guage wire with 60 amp inline fuse NO big three stock alternator Today I switched out my battery and put in a kinetik hc1800. On my way to work I experienced very bad voltage drops to the point the amp cut out. I did not experience this bad of voltage drop with my stock battery. I have money at my disposal and I also don't want to hurt my equipment I just don't know what is the next step?

Meade got me motivated but he hadn't made his yet. Here's Hustla Baller and Run Quickly. I had to open all the doors all the way, open the moon roof, and it still had room for more excursion and it still clipped and started to stink. I emailed Scott about a dual 1 recone since a 2500.1 doesn't look to be in the near future. But, while I was bangin, some dudes heard it and one came to take pics/vids along with me, said he was friends with a local shop and gave me his number and email. I wish Meade could have hooked me up, at least he pointed me in the right direction though Oh, Bobbie (my new friend) asked "You mean the Jackhammer?" when I said " I'm gettn a 22". I laughe…

Hello everyone, I was quite out of the scenario for family reasons, but always checking what's new in SSA. Recently I change my ride for an 06 Navigator ultimate, I keep most of the equipments of the town car like the audiocontrol LC7, the lanzar OPTIX10 crossover, the memphis ST1000D mono amp and the 2 subs Ascendant Audio Chaos 10". I'm interest in create an sq system with what I got now and add a few more things like component speakers, damping material, etc. also i was thinking in build a custom center console in the second row, that house the subs, cause i need all the cargo space for my job. Where i'm totally lost is in the eficiency of the subs in a small sealed bo…

So... i was wondering what are the effects of running 2 giant gobs of wire out of a wall(8 runs of 8awg per side), one on each side of the wall and filling it in with whatever. this would just seem to cause some loss in SPL wouldnt it? I dont know if i just fill it in with silicone or should i shoot expanding foam in there... i dont know? Also, when i'm messing with the wire any, if the wire gets moved through the hole, would it "un-seal" the hole?

It was a lot of fun. I forgot my camera at home so no pics. Kinda sad actually... But anyway I ran for the first time I did a 141.8, I didn't think that it was to bad, with no electrical upgrades and the sub not being broke in yet. I am already considering another sub and walling my Jimmy off behind the second row. Of course that would involve another amp, a few batteries, and a alternator. But overall other than being burnt as hell the show was a lot of fun, and i can't wait for next year. BTW mark i handed out some flyers, but the were like wtf is ssa. HAHAHAHA

I know the banners that Superfly/denim made for ya are tight, but they are to big for Termpros standards. 500x90 is fine (u can go up to 150) but it must be 10kb or less

Hello, New to the forum, got turned on to it by a guy on the last forum I was a member of (audio-neon was his screen name). I am slowly buying up the components of my yet to be installed system. I have my sub (TCSOUNDS TC3000 15" DVC). I have my deck (Eclipse 3100) Xover (Audio control EQX) and the Epicenter. I ordered 1/0 wire 30ft of power and ground. I have done the big 3 already and have power and ground run directly from the engine bay to the trunk. I have a 3.2cubic foot sealed (2.6 cubic ft ported tuned to about 28 hertz) box built. I am leaning toward some CDT Components for the rest of my speakers. I have a zapco Z400c4 amp I am also leaning toward running the fr…

I'm currently in the process of reconing a 2004 RE XXX v3 15" woofer and haven't made the enclosure yet. I'm planning on building a 3.43 cu. ft sealed enclosure to house this monster, as my goal is more on the ""SQL"" side. The sub's displacement is .21 I've come to a design and have my cut sheets marked and ready to go, but I wanted to see if anyone could provide some input on if I should brace this box with a horizontal or vertical support? Does the enclosure absorb and vibrate this much with that back pressure to where I should brace the box? If so, what materials should I go about using? a piece of wood is fine? The box will have a double baffel…

I have been thinking a lot lately :nono and I just might sell the rl-p. I am close to getting a new car (possibly this beauty) and am now tihnking a 15" rl-p is just too much. The box and sub weigh around 100 lbs which is way more than you want in the trunk of a 540. Not to mention I don't want this car to fal apart on me. I could probably sell the rl-p and my box locally for over $400 which would then give me some more money for the car and maybe even a little 12" set up to hold me over for awhile. If i sell my nine1 with it I could probably get $700-750, which would definitely help with some mods (read:updated lights) for the 5er. Maybe I'm crazy, but I am really c…
