So i just sold my nightshades.. got $900 to spend on new setup which would be subs and speakers(still stock, idk what to look for). I still want the walled idea its just that two nightshades was too much for me i want something still loud and proud but the thing was that i couldnt power them correctly, dont have enough money. but the box is already made to fit two 15s, it wasnt really custom made for the nightshades, it was for any pair of 15s. so im lookin for two new 15s i like rap, hip hop, and dubstep. i loveeee decaf. i dont blast my music i listen to it very gently. but you know i give demos to friends and show what my stuff can really do! i currently have a saz 1…

i have a 1000 bucks to spend on audio for a bus. i know its not alot but i would really like to stay on budget, its a party bus so it must be loud, and full sounding, i know that in a buss its gonan have a huge echo effect but i can work on that part later.. i will be meeting with my partner later to iron out more details but for now a rough idea would be helpfull to give him and my self an idea of what were looking at.... here are a few pics.. it looks a little more.. full now... it has seats along the walls... ill post new pics later on with the seats in.

A couple of times this week I noticed, at first smell, what seemed to be the odor of cigarette smoke in my 4Runner. Although I just bought this vehicle a few months ago, neither I nor the previous owners are smokers. When I arrived at work this morning I detected the odor again. It occurred to me that I'd been playing NiN particularly loud this morning, so I checked the amps and sub. Both of the amps were very warm but not too hot to touch. The smell definitely seemed to originate from the RL-i8 in the T-Box. Considering that the gain on my SAE-1500D prototype isn't even half-way (gain goes to 8v, my HU output is 4v), I hadn't expected to approach the point of clippi…

i feel like i should say something nice about this company. i blew 1 of there 55001d amps and they took it back no problems sent me a brand new one (just had to pay shipping both ways). so 2 days ago i ended up blowing one of there 1600/4 amps. just called tech support to make sure what the alternating power/protect light ment. (it means its "toast"). the tech support was amazingly friendly and directed me to RA where they gave me a RA # no problem or saying that it was installer error. (which it was not). if it was not for their korean made cheapness i would HIGHLY recommend them. needless to say i'm still going to end up getting all sundown amps.

Hello all. I have a 2002 Ford Ranger Extended Cab truck that I wanted to put a sub-stage in. I'm gonna go ported but what Dcon sub should I get? I'm gonna buy 2 of them. Also, I'm going to buy an amp to run both subs. Here's my questions... 1) Which Dcon subs should I get? DVC or SVC? 2) How big of an enclosure would I need for said sub? What should I tune the enclosure to? Each sub will have it's own box and an external port. 3) What RMS should I run each sub? The final ohm load will b 2 ohms.

I have a friend with a 1980 Corvette(fixed rear window). He has asked me give him a hand with doing an install. This vehicle will be primarily for his wife to drive, but not as an everyday driver. His thoughts and input for the install are as follows: 1. Has a budget of around $1000.00 2. Has to have the space behind the seats for storage of the T-tops. 3. Does not want to do any cutting of the dash, doors, or have any type of pods on the floor or mounted to the doors. 4. Would prefer more of a quality sound vs bass heavy. 5. so i am wanting to set my gain on my amp and i have read a ton on the dd-1. some people love it and some think it is useless. Ok so i have no experience with an o scope at all but watched some videos and i think i could do it. So with someone like me who has never set there gains with an o scope would it still be a good idea for me to get an o scope or a dd-1? and can you tune your hertz with an o scope? I am open to any suggestions just please keep in mind that im a newbie with setting gains....

I just got a Sundown 3500 and two 15"xcons. When ordering I said I wanted the subs to be 2 ohm then I run both to the one amp and that would be a 1 ohm load. But ssa said no I want two 1ohm help please.. Do I have the right subs being built?? Thank u guys

I met a guy at a competition a few days ago that had some sound deadening tape and I was wondering where i could get some. it wasn't like dynatape that's just the aluminum tape but it actually sound deadening properties. I figured it be nice for a few places in my durango where my sound deadener is too think. Any idea where I might be able to find a product like this? I did a google search and all the ones I have found appear to just be aluminum tape. Thanks guys!

Simply, would cotton work at all in the same way as polyfill? I know one is meant for it and one is sure as hell not, but I have pounds of cotton and a wretched internet connection so roaming the internet isnt an option for the rest of the week. All I need is a yes or no, and a brief why. I was staring at a pile of cotton from dog-shredded pillows, and got to wondering.

the other day with ecromeans i noticed my voltage was low... so today i went for a ride and i got in my car and my voltage was 11.5, with my a/c headlights and stereo on low. i put in in gear with my foot on the break and i dip to 10 volts... o no. i fliped a bitch and went back home.. i poped my hood and manualy triped my breaker, then my voltage jumped up to 13.8 with my lights on and the radio on low.. i checked my conections to all my cells.. thay were all tight... i reset myt breaker and i dip back down to 11. volts.... any one got any other ideas? the only thing i can see is one of my three cells are bad... or my h/o alt is going out.

What's the loudest single 15' sub you've heard in a daily setup?

Can someone explane what these charts mean? i don"t understand what these mean but the first cart being the highest at 50hz makes me think that i won't be able to hit lows well. i listen to slowed music 90% of the time i just want loud and low. i don"t really care about anything above 50hz or so. box is a 4th order 2 cubes sealed 6 ported tuned to 60hz 90sq in. of port. if i am right about not being able to hit low how can i change that? lower tuning, make chambers smaller? (8 cubes is the most space i have so can"t make chamber bigger without making other smaller)

Some of my favorites: DynAudio's show car, the piano playing was pure sex to listen to CV Stroker van, absolutely smothering bass sitting in that thing (headphones and all) and surprisingly, JL Audio's little Austin Mini. What are yours? -Bio
