I just got a 09 crew cab 1500 chevy silverado. I currently have quite a bit of equipment from my old builds, but none will really fit in the truck. It's all 6.5" speakers in the doors and tweets up front in the a-pillar. I'll probably be selling some of my stuff to pick up speakers that will fit. I have had nothing but good come from focal, so I was thinking of staying with them. I was thinking of going either with the Access or Polyglass lines. The K2's get a bit expensive and Utopia is out of the question. Also, what is your advice on running them from the HU (Alpine IVA-W200). A week ago or so my batteries came in. I got 2 Odyssey PC2150's They'll each have 1 sundown 1500d. Those are going to be bridged onto a single loaded BTL 15".

Like this. Anyone have one? I am considering purchasing one but i want to know if i can fit a 10 inch icon around 1.25 cubes under the seat/behind the back seat. If anyone has pictures of one under the back seat and behind the back seat it would be appreciated. Drake

in time when money is abundant (thats right, i dont have money for wood) i will build a new box for my xxx. right now i dont like the way it sits in my car facing upward and you can barely see it because the box is so tall. so to remedy this i will have a more flat box with the sub inverted so there is no mounting depth and to give it more area and also to show off the sexyness of the sub and its entirety. al P.S. what should i tune it to, im thinking along the lines of 28, i want to show everyone a big sub isnt sloppy, maybe even lower.

looking to see if there is better box i can build for my sub, i have a 15" zcon in 4.5cf box tuned to 32hz on around 3000 rms in my 2005 sable/taurus,,, sub and port is facing the trunk and cant turn the box around or anything, im thinking there is not enough air getting into the cabin because the box is so big (only like 3 inches on each side and an inch from the top of the trunk),,, probley going to need someone draw something up for me with cut sheet and everything when im going to build it but right now just wanting to see some ideas on what i should do to get as loud and sound as good as it can in my car

Ok so I got my new BTL in today and hooked up. Yes it is a D2 and yes it's wired correctly to 1 ohm. It's in the same box as my old havoc. It's on double the power as the havoc. I have a 225 amp alt and autocracy gold battery. Everything is the same setup as the havoc minus the sub and amp. It's just not that loud... I have to turn the gain up to 3/4 to even get it close to what it used to be. All radio settings are the same. I would think it would be a good bit louder, but it's just not impressing me. Any ideas? I grounds? I checked all x'overs, EQ, settings, etc. I'm lost. 4 volt pre outs.

Hello everyone. I am trying to help a buddy put some thump in the trunk of his car. I have a little experience with subs and wiring, but I have never heard a system in a trunk. He is wanting to drop about $800 into this, including the wiring,sub(s), and amp. At first thought I figured a 15" bl and a sundown 1500d would do the trick, but he has no experience with porting or box building. If he went sealed I thought an Fi Q would sound very clean, but I'm not sure if that is what people look for with a trunk install if they want to hear it good in the cab. Would it be worth it taking the easy way out and going sealed, or should he look for a decent box builder? Also, w…

Soo... im trying to determine the next setup. I know i am doing ZCONs. And I will be using saz-3ks. Now what I need to figure out is if I can somehow fit 4 18" zcons on 4 saz-3ks. I am thinking of a wall behind the back seats... I dont(wont) want to remove my back seat. Now im not sure exactly how much room I have back ... So I will have ro measure it out later. How many cubes do you think would suffice for 4 18" zcons ? Since I will have a little more power than recomended, the enclosurecould be on the smaller side correct? So im in the process of a new build. Ive had a Skar VVX15 and DC Lvl4 18. Def loved the DC more. ( just sold that ) but its so expensive for me to get multiples. For this new build i want to do either 15s or 18s for sake of its cheaper to get louder (meaning price of 1 18s is cheaper than 2 12s of equivalent specs) So my question is what kinda ideas you guys got! At least doing 2 subs. maybe 4 if i can afford. Hey guys. This is just a simple question that i seem to confuse myself about, but i would like you guys opinion. I have a 2008 chevy impala and i just bought a 2013 chevy malibu. Im going to go all out with fixing my car up orion subs, rims and all, but which car should i use? Should i use the impala thats already paid for to fix up or should i use my new malibu? Im picking up a new 2012 Subaru Impreza Sport Limited hatcback tomorrow or Thursday. Getting it loaded with nav, so I dont want to swap out the HU. Never did any audio stuff with a stock HU, so not sure what I should get. Do I get line out converters, or 3way crossover? I was looking at the Lanzar Vibe X6, for $35. I am in the process of buying a 2002 Camaro SS (monday it should be mine). I sold my old system except for my Planet Audio TT2250D and my Pioneer DEH-P860MP. I am getting a Planet Audio TT4200D, 2004 XXX 15", and a set of Rainbow Pro 3 Way components. For sound deadening, I have 3 gallons of Second Skin Spectrum. Jamie will be doing the Kicks for the Pro 4"s and tweeters, and the Vanadium 6.5" midbass will be mounted in the doors. He will also be doing the trunk install in all fiberglass. I think I am giving up on the idea of going active until I become a bit more knowledgeable about the sound I would like and mounting locations that best suit me. So anyway, I am going to purchase a new component set instead. I have a 2004 Tahoe, listen to mostly rock, hip hop, and trance. This is a daily driver and I am going to drop my focus from purely SQ. Instead, I would like to just go loud but at the same time I like quality in my music, low distortion, as well as good imaging and staging. I have receantly been forced out of my 97 cobra, thanks to a drunk driver. I have found a box with .42 qubic feet per side, for 2 10's. what kind of recommendations can I get. I was running 2 12's hollywood speakers off of a bazooka amp I think it was 700w. but not turned up maybe 1/2 way. I have been told that your companies speakers are worth the money. I have yet to see another hollywood, hopefully yours will last as long. So looking at the above mentioned air space, which 10's, and what amp? price ranges might help. Thanks, chris

DL/Buy a good quality version of it. You might have to turn up your bass a little bit, or since the song is pretty light, your overall volume. BEWARE: I believe it's around 4:48, the song does a killer low note, then all the sudden the bass amplifies after it so get ready to turn it down or your amp is going to clip severely.

I have a kenwood excelon x997 comin in as well as 6.5 alpine type r components and a ppi black ice 800.4 as well as all wiring and a ssa dcon 15 hopefully going in a custom built 3.5 cubic foot box now how should I wire the 15 on to the rear channels of the ppi since my dcons are dual 4 ohm

The saturn shook it self to peices after a short stint of 1 15" RESX with a 2500.1 wired at 4 ohm, had to replace it and am moving my gear over. Need some help from people who own ford explorers or SUV's in general. Alright, i just bought a 2001 ford explorer sport.... For the sub and port directions for some loud loud daily pounding which is the best place to face the subs and the port? I plan on keeping my rear seats, making a 7 cuft box ported to 34HZ for my re SX's. Also the alt is a 130amp factory unit, i have a pair of new batts for the trunk and am runnin a KX2500.1. Do i need a larger alt if im not always hard into the amp? Thanks in advance.

Just donated my 2 ssa icon 12's to my nephew for his first ever system. Building a new system for my f150 crew cab, debating one evil 15 or 4 ssa f8l's. Space doesn't matter and I have a few amps to choose from in my collection. Just curious if anyone is running either of these setups and can add any input. Thanks in advance
