And since Brandon has yet to provide me with pics Hollis is the first to have pics up on the net Crazy install... Hollis has his SAZ-1500Ds wired to 0.5 ohms and they are holding their own.

I am trying to find the Driver Displacement for the Nightshade 15. It is not listed on the Sundown Website and I have searched the forums and have not found the answer. Does anyone here happen to know? Thank you.

Just an FYI... they can take anywhere from 1 to 10 days to build depending on how busy we are. Please do not ask for status updates the next day -- it just takes us away from finishing everyone's woofers. This goes for ANY custom job... re-coning a woofer, building drop-ins, NS v.2, Z v.2, etc. We try to keep it down to 5 days or less but it can take longer sometimes !

I'm in the process of acquiring the rest of my system and basically the last thing I have to add is my sub amp and sub. I think I've settled on an ID Max 12 D2. I'm wondering what kind of drain running the SAE 1000D will put on my stock charging system at 1ohm. Also, I'd imagine this would be plenty amp to run an ID Max? It should have plenty of oomph if I planed on having the ID Max in a sealed enclosure in the trunk of my '03 Mazda 6. I have an Alpine MRV-1507 class A/B for my front stage. It's a bit of a current hog when bridged but when running mono it doesn't seem to drain the charging system nearly as bad. So... will running a SAE 1000D at 1 ohm onto an ID Max…

I am building a competition van for a customer and it will have either 16 XS Power D3100s or 20 2400s (working on sponsorship), 4 Kicker Warhorse amps, and a deck mounted in rear for burps with a audio control line driver (8v). This will be walled off and strictly for Competition use only and tuned around 70HZ. The customer wants to go with Kicker Solo X 18s but I am currently trying to get him into Sundown Nightshade V2 18s. There will be 4 subs and each one will be hooked up to one warhorse at full power (approx 10k rms each sub). how much power does the sax 50.4 put out? im think bout giving my wife my t5002 and use the sax 50.4 to run my component active

Doing final wiring before i get to test out the system. On the manual for a single sub connection, it says to bridge to speaker +, on the speaker -, do i bridge that too? here's what the pic on the manual looks like hope i get the answer soon before the rain comes back thanks

Before I recommend this build to someone, I want to be sure it would sound ok. I have an associate that has a late 70s Vette. Baddass little car. The previous owner installed a flip screen Pioneer deck, and updated the speakers. He says it sounds ok, and gets loud but lacks the lower end like most installs that don't include subwoofers. What he wants is just to include the low end that the upgraded speakers lack, while retaining as much room as possible due to the tiny cabin this car has. I have been running my 1500d for about a month now. It was working perfectly until about 3 days ago. I hadnt been in the truck or anything for 2 days, and then i go and get in it and as im driving the subs are making a popping noise. I have been trying to figure out what the problem is, and i dont think it is any of my wiring. I have figured out that the popping only happens when the amp is shook or tapped on or of course the truck bounces or something while im driving. The amp works fine except for when this happens, which is frequently. Im thinking it might possibly be something loose in the amp or something. Let me know if you have a possible solution.

Ok, so I just got a new 3000d and a 100.4. My HU only had front/rear, no sub pre-amp output. Question is, if I wire the front/rear to the 100.4, if i Use the channel 1/2 output to the 3000d, will I lose my ability to use the hp/lp settings on 1 and 2 or if I do use the hp/lp will it still send a full signal through the 1/2 output? Sorry if I am not being very clear.. front / rear from head unit into 1/2 and 3/4 of the 100.4 1/2 output to 1 on 3000d will using filter controls on 100.4 impact frequency output on 1/2 output channels?

yah just curious if anybody has done any testing above 16.5v resting? possibly 1 ohm testing as well.

I started my stereo install without full plans. I had no idea what my substage would consist of. I had a JL amp already for my door speakers and thought id be going that route so i ran the JL bass knob wire through with the rest of my wiring. I then ended up learning of sundown and got the sax-1200 amp and the bass knob that comes with it. Do you know if i can just swap the wires or do i have to re run it? I really don't feel like pulling my carpet back out just to get that wire re-run if its not necessary. Also the JL wire didnt plug into the knob itself, there was a 6 inch line off the knob that it connected to. So i need to extend it, do i need a special wire and conne…

Hi guys I was wondering, does this sub have only one type/version that you (Sundown) sell, or are their options for the sub itself that can be upgrade, changed etc. ?? I know the Fi BTL has loaded options and things like that. Also other subs can be ordered with copper or aluminum coils. But is there only one type made in an 18" size that is sold without less/added features ?

i went to the MECA comp in E town this past saturday and compteted in street 2. i won first place by default lol.. but my 08 mazda 3 sedan did put up a 144.9 with a single 15'' FI BL and a single SAZ1500 i am strapping two 1500s on the sub for the next show.. as well as some more tweakin.....

Well I ordered a Sundown SAX100.4 and a SAZ1000d for my brother yesterday. He drives an 08 standard cab Chevy Full size. He will be running PPI 365 CCS components, a DD T1510 in a PWK enclosure and KNU wire. Only thing not ordered is what the factory deck will connect to processor related. I am leaning toward either a Cleansweep or Alpines H650. Can't wait to get the stuff going. For under 600 bucks for amps... What a bargain. Will have the install on here when we start.

I am getting ready to build a system for a chrysler 300c and was wondering what you guys think would be louder in this application. 3 sa 12s sealed firing in the cabin or 2 sa 12 ported. I am planning on running a z 2500on the subs.

Currently, I have a Memphis Mojo 4kw amp with 2 odyssey 2150 batteries + stock in a Hummer H2. I have already had to send in my amp to get fixed previously and I am trying to avoid that again. I was thinking about selling it off and buying a SAZ-3000D but I was wondering how hot they run because the only spot in my truck to mount the amp is directly behind the seat on the box which leaves about 1 inch of clearance for heat to escape. Also, the alternator is stock but I have not dropped below 12 volts at full tilt so I was wondering the output of the saz-3000d at 12v because I know the Mojo is not giving me anywhere near 4000.

I think I already know the answer to this question, but I have to ask just to be 100% sure. Does the SAX 100.4 have balanced differential input? I got a new car, and I don't want to mess with the factory HU - which outputs balanced differential. So, I need an amp that can handle this, or build/buy a converter. I have a SAX 100.4, so if this won't work, what brands DO accept this type of input? So far, I've found the JL Audio and Rockford both have amps with this input. Any others? Anyone have any luck interfacing with the HU on a 1st gen Acura TSX?

Ok, should have my tax check here next friday...woot woot. I will be ordering 2 12" SA's and was wondering if this box and amp will work. Was getting a design done for 3.5cuft @ 30hz and will be running a Rockford Fosgate T1000.1 (the new mini black one) The amp says 1250 @ 1ohm I might upgrade the amp later...but this is what I have now. I know I will be using 2 4" aero ports (not sure on lenth..the designer is still designing, lol) Just curious as to what to expect.
