I recently just ordered a Sundown SAE-1200D amplifier and im currently looking to get all new wires from KnuKoncepts. For some reason I cannot seem to find what size power and ground wire the amplifier needs. Im assuming that it is 1/0 gauge but can someone tell me for sure? Also what size external fuse do I need?

wondering if its possible to only use one input when bridgeing a 100.2? i know alot of the oldschool stuff i used to run you only needed one channel (usually the right) when bridgeing. the reason i ask is because im going to run two bridged 100.2s as a stereo pair and would like to avoid any funky Y-splitters or anything like that.

Gotta say that Sundown has their shit together. Not only are their products top in the business but their customer service is outstanding! Tuesday morning I emailed Sundown about a used basket and a t-shirt. A couple hours later my email was replied to and a few more emails later, within an hour, my swag was ordered. I received my order today, three days after ordering Thanks Sundown! I will also add that I requested a little something special added to my Z.3 that I ordered a couple weeks ago. Without hesitation Sundown complied. A lot of companies ship straight from a build house without personally testing or even seeing the product they sell, not Sundown!

Few updates : 1) I am running a full container load of the v.1 SA-8s to meet demand -- these will be in stock in July. So we'll be sold out for a bit as the massive amount we just got recently are already nearly depleted. 2) This run of v.1 models will have the v.2 frame on them -- as there are reasons beyond cosmetic for the frame. They will be fully compatible with any SA-8 with the newest surround and spider, though. From the front will look no different either. 3) Once these are gone then we'll work on launching the v.2 models -- R&D is almost done on them. But they should be out around August to September. Sean will be up next week to try out the latest SA-8 v.2 …

  11. Hi I'm in the process of upgrading from my 15" Fi SSD to dual Nighshade v.2 on around 4 K rms. And I'm not so good with designing boxes so I'm asking someone with the talent to help me with a design for my new woofers. I was thinking something made for daily use tuned to 32-33 Hz. The box will be going into a Ford Mondeo hatchback. Tanks for the help

I finally got this box built and a chance to test this speaker out. It is replacing 2 15" polkmomo drivers on a crunch amp. The box is roughly the same size as the other but this one lets the seat lock into the up position. It is about 3.25 ft3 at 35hz. There is no bracing or 45's in the corners. Its facing up right now as I find a place for the amp(s). But it sounds better forward. I know its a little ghetto but Ive just recently started building my own stuff. As you can see it is hooked up to the SAX125.2. It is bridged at 4 ohm so its only about 450 watts. Gain up halfway and it still rocks. This driver sounds very nice. This driver is of high quality and great sound.…

  18. i have an older box that was given to me by a friend who works at a shop.... he said that he really didnt know what it was tuned to but the 11.5 long and the only thing he remembers ( which was written on a sticky from the guy who built it) that the box had 26.43 cu. inches of area, 1.48 cubes .... so some ruff calculations on my part which i suck at i am still unsure on what this box is tuned to.??? JUST A TEMP BOX UNTIL PETE AND I GO OVER THE NEW BUILD WITH 15 NSs... i spoke with him last week and was think going with a horn design.... could get interesting.

Quick help needed please... I have a 2.35 cubic foot enclosure for 4 E8's powered by an SAE 1200. I'm going to use a 6" port, can't make my mind what to tune it to 30-35 hz. Is a 6" port, 28.26 sqare inches to much port area for this combo? I see people using a single 6" port for up to 4 cubes. I'm a little worried about the subs unloading and damaging the suspension.

I am getting ready to build a system for a chrysler 300c and was wondering what you guys think would be louder in this application. 3 sa 12s sealed firing in the cabin or 2 sa 12 ported. I am planning on running a z 2500on the subs.

  22. Hello, I am looking at a 100.4 to run my entire system with CH1/2 running a full range component set and Ch3/4 bridged to a subwoofer. I see in the owners manual that the HPF is a 12db filter but coundn't see what the subsonic is. My primary question is that since there is some overlap in these two filters if I wanted to filter out the fronts at say 60 hz is there a reason to pick one or the other to use or to use a combination of the two? Thanks John

  25. Ok guys, well im doing an install update on wends in which im adding a kinetik 2400, 1800, replacing some crappy rcas with nice knu krystals, adding a 1/0 negative run between kinetiks, adding more power wire etc, adding 880 prs to replace my crappy alpine, and last adding the second sae-1000D proto for substage. anyways. i want to create an amp rack that provide the proper airflow that the amps need to allow them to cool and breathe. and im tossing around how i will design it. but it will house my 2 sub amps, the 1000's. I want to put the amp rack on the back of my box, that is 40" long, but i want to keep the amp rack to around 32 - 33" so it fits between my trunk braci…
