Here is the situation. Just bought a 2003 Jetta GLI VR6. It had the factory option for the Monsoon sound system, which included an amp in the trunk powering the components in all four doors. The previous owner put in an aftermarket Double Din Kenwood DDX418. It isn't the best deck but does what I need to right now. The mids and highs sound better than what I expected, but I am missing the lows. I am not looking to shake the neighborhood. I just want to hear a more full sound that can handle my varied taste in music. I listen to everything from Squirrel Nut Zippers, to the Gravediggers. Hey guys i'm new to the forum pretty much and i drive a 2011 camaro. i got that sundown amp with an incriminator audio death row 12.... i took it to the most reputable shop in town and asked them to install it. i've taken three cars to this place before and nothing has ever went wrong. They hooked it up, said everything was great, but they had set the gain on the lower side as i would need to break in the subwoofer for awhile and go easy on it. that was fine with me because i wasn't really gonna start slamming til i replaced my door speakers which will happen around late october. well the system worked fine the first day, it sounded amazing, better than anything i've hear…

Ive got a SAZ-1500D hooked up to a Fi Q 18. It worked great for about 2 months, and all of a sudden the sub made a pop noise, and the amp went into protect mode. Since then, whenever you turn the amp on, the blue light will come on, and then a couple seconds later the sub just goes all the way down (pop noise), and then the amp almost immediately goes into protect mode. It will do this whether the speaker wires are hooked up or not. The local car audio shop told me i blew the amp, but i took the cover off and everything looked fine. anyone know whats going on?

what cubes should i be at and the hert tone? i was thinking about 1.3 tune to 32 hertz off of a 1000 watt amp any help would do thanks, looking to build a box later today

I am building a competition van for a customer and it will have either 16 XS Power D3100s or 20 2400s (working on sponsorship), 4 Kicker Warhorse amps, and a deck mounted in rear for burps with a audio control line driver (8v). so i have been asked a few times and have done my fair share of looking and asking.....what is the 1 ohm 2 ohm and 4 ohm (mainly 4 ohm) rating on the NS1? i cant and others cant seem to find these any where apart from its a beast. we compete USACI in my area and 3 of the guys in or close to the 160s really want to know this to see if they can be in the classes they want with this amp. I also have heard it will have 1 rating only 600 rms @ 4ohm which would be killer in USACI but whats the truth to this? Sorry for the multiple post. I wanted this in the Sundown section, so reposted here... My son really likes the SA8s and wants to upgrade his stereo system. Can someone help with a box design? I assume someone has done this already and has posted a box design of what they did. I've been looking but have found some crazy installs. We only want to do two subs. Ported since that is the recommended design. If going sealed does not hurt that much, then that would be an easier build. I have a sa8 that's dual 4ohm. I can't wire it to 8ohms there wouldn't be any power. So can the 100.2 go down to 2 ohms bridged and if so how many watts would it push?

I just want to make sure I have this right. right now I have (2) 4-ohm 10's in my doors ( one 10" in each door). one 10 on channel three and one on channel 4. (channels one and two are occupied by my tweeters and horns and I'm good there). now, I want to replace them with two sundown neo-pro 10's which are 8ohm. am I correct in thinking that I can wire them together down to 4ohm and then bridge them on channels 3 and 4 to get the most power out of my 100.4? how much rms will that amp produce to those channels in that configuration? On June 24th 2011, I ordered a pair of Sundown Z-18 v.2 D2 Subs from woofersetc.com Roughly a week and a half later the subs were received but when unboxed the basket of one of them was severely cracked in 2 places. I contacted woofersetc, and they set up a claim with fed ex. Roughly a week later fed ex came out and picked up the sub and due to some type of miscommunication it was shipped all the way back to CA. The sub wasn't supposed to go back, due to a shortage of baskets they were searching high and low for a basket and I was going to get broken sub back, transfer the magnet assembly and re-cone it myself. My buddy was driving and had his system on... And it turned off. So he came to my house. All the fuses were fried. And when i opened it up, theres a black wire that is now disconnected... How? Idk. which would be better suited to a 4th order BP install? mainly looking for input from sundownz since he owns both companies and can give their honest opinion. or if someone on here has used both (which I doubt since the SD-2 are still in pre-order). they can be had for about the same price and I was curious.. Our new FedEx rep was a good sport and got a short demo. 12x Obsidian Audio 12s 2x SAZ-4500Ds on 16v @ 1.33 ohms We forgot to have the low-tuned loading wall in -- so hair movement not as good as it could be but our rep enjoyed it !
