So I am wanting to build a new box for my 3 sa10's mainly just to see what I can make these things do with different tunings and box volumes. They are pretty underpowered for now on an aq1200d at 1.33 ohms. My current box is 4 cubes net at 34hz. Just wondering if I should go down in volume or keep it the same? The main reason for building a new box is just for fun/practice I have the wood and time and want to try something different. I will build another new box when I get more power. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks -Rick

SA-8s SOLD OUT (4-21-11) The large quantity we recently received have already blown out of here. I had planned to have the v.2 done some time ago and have them in production and ready to roll in around now but that did not work out as planned. In any event... the unforseen sales volume + delays on the v.2 put this production run at the end of July to come in. Until then Mike Bruno has a decent stash of the QC failed units he is re-building... and WoofersEtc.com has the last of what is in our warehouse on the way to them for new drivers.

I have the flu -- I was totally out of work yesterday and I'll only be in for a short time today. So if you wondering about lack of e-mails and so forth that is why.

Few updates : 1) I am running a full container load of the v.1 SA-8s to meet demand -- these will be in stock in July. So we'll be sold out for a bit as the massive amount we just got recently are already nearly depleted. 2) This run of v.1 models will have the v.2 frame on them -- as there are reasons beyond cosmetic for the frame. They will be fully compatible with any SA-8 with the newest surround and spider, though. From the front will look no different either. 3) Once these are gone then we'll work on launching the v.2 models -- R&D is almost done on them. But they should be out around August to September. Sean will be up next week to try out the latest SA-8 v.2 …

Glad I didn't sell the ol' Jeep... I've had my dealers asking me for years for a shallow component set so I started on one... here are some sneak peeks of the first sample set. We are testing them in Nick's car since he is a big SQ guy They are VERY shallow and will fit in any application I can imagine. For a driver this shallow excursion is not bad; obviously not a super high throw driver but crossover over steeply at 80 Hz will do nicely. So far we've tested the mid and we are very pleased for the depth and cost... Overall set price would be under $200 from an authorized dealer.

I was looking into the SA-15 and looking at this spec sheet confused me. The specs for a sealed box are only implied for a D2 version of the subwoofer and the ported for a D4. Is this specific recommendations or can either subwoofer work for either enclosure type and size? Don't want to seem stoopid but I've never seen it explained that way before, so I had to ask.... To start off, i have 3 sa 12's, they were on a saz 2k, and i had them in a 5.5 cube box 2 6" aeros, tuned to 35hz, Well that wasn't cutting it for me for the low's, So i had to go back to slot ports, i made a box to recommended size, 5.25 cubes for 3 sa 12's, tuned to 31 hz with 81.25 port area. It sounded great, i loved it, But thought the subs needed more power, so i got my saz 3500 back. Put it in, and the sound changed a lot. It is louder, but doesn't sound as clean now and not as aggressive on some songs it did with the saz 2k. It almost sounds like it lost its "clean, accurate" sound, if that makes any sense. Had a customer send in a pair of BTL 15s for me to re-build -- first time seeing the new UFO style BTLs in person. Very large and heavy motor on these guys -- also looks like they started using four separate magnets on these rather than a single large slug; presumably to prevent potential defects in the big slug. In any event -- on to the to re-build... the original failure was a burnt up tinsel lead on one of the drivers... so I am using our double lead Z v.2 spiders on the re-builds. * Original Failure Point * I am using a Z v.3 coil -- it is similar in dimension to the BTL stock coil but it is 8-layers vs. 4-layers on the BTL coil... it is 60mm WW vs. 64mm …

I was planning on a upgrade in the near future. i was thinking about running 2 Fi BL 15s fully loaded on eather a sundwn 2500 or a T2500.1bdcp? these two amps are sick.. i like both.. i like that there underrated and probly get somre in the 3000 or a little more... but i like both... im just undecided... can somone toss in there 2 cents on my topic?

Hey guys, I am planning on installing 4 SA-8 in a chevy 72 truck using an incrim. audio 40.1 amp. i really need help on determining what would be the best box type and size to include port size. i am planning to use the whole space behind the seat and install the amps under the seat.....your help is very appreciated...also would like to know who can build me box for my project.. I have 2 ns v.2 12's D2 and 2 3500s strapped to 1 ohm. How ballzy must 1 be to strap to 0.5 for 0.25 each? Would there be a good db gain?

i have a 2011 4 door wrangler and want to install 2 - e8 v.2, 8" subs in the rear floor cargo area. i measured roughly .55 cubic ft., i will pour water in it to get exact..... is there enough air volume for 2, was planning to secure a 3/4" mdf baffle to the bin, bottom mount the subs. i was hoping to be able to use the stock cover and floor mat to conceal them. i have an alpine pdx 1000.1 to power them. any support would be great. thx

ok, so I'm working on my front stage right now. However, I have a Z 15" V2 and a 2000D and was originally going to add a second amp and subwoofer and wall it off behind the rear seats in my scion. BUT with the recent publicity/impressiveness (is that even a word?) of the SA series, I was thinking 4 12" SA series off of a 2500D (giving them each their rated rms) would be a better option. So, it would be a little less power but a ton more cone area. what say you? think it would be louder?

I'm trying to contact Charles from G-Vegas NC used to work at Techno Audio. There is a show this weekend just wanted to see if you were going to be there running any sundown equipment. We meet a few months back at the store I was the guy running the CDT audio equipment.
