im suppose to pick up some more 0/1 wire and another battery this weekend, but now im wondering if i really need it. this is what is getting used, i have a sundown saz2000, and a sax 125.2. i plan on running it at .6 ohms next season. for electrical i have big 3 done, 220amp alt, 1 run of 0/1 front to back, odyssey 1500 up front, and a odyssey 2150 in the back. now is it worth it for me to jam another battery in the back? i know the more the better, but is it really needed? also, would i benefit from another run of pos front to back?? im just thinking if i can save the money i should. thanks

Alrighty down to business! Take note of my 2 pics below. The first pic shows a piece of mdf with 4 12volt fans in it to cool the amp which is under it. Notice the second pic where the amp is underneath the fans. I am doing this so i don't lost 100% of my trunk as i will be going back to school in september. I guess this is a makeshift amp rack! My question is should my fans be blowing onto the amp? Or sucking the hot air off of the amp? I assume blowing (cooling ) the amp but i thought i would double check! and also should i be using 4 or will 2 work just as well! the fans i am using are: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=259-150 amd yes i know my…

Gotta say that Sundown has their shit together. Not only are their products top in the business but their customer service is outstanding! Tuesday morning I emailed Sundown about a used basket and a t-shirt. A couple hours later my email was replied to and a few more emails later, within an hour, my swag was ordered. I received my order today, three days after ordering Thanks Sundown! I will also add that I requested a little something special added to my Z.3 that I ordered a couple weeks ago. Without hesitation Sundown complied. A lot of companies ship straight from a build house without personally testing or even seeing the product they sell, not Sundown!

So guys i am getting a recone on my 15 to a pair of 12's, the subs in question are the NS v1. my question is how many spiders does the NS v1 normally come with? i ask b/c i will be running 2-saz2500 strapped to the 2-12's and someone mentions to me maybe i should get another spider added to the 12's so they can handle the amount of power? so my question again is do i need or shoudl i get another spider added to each sub or no would stock be enough. i plan to do a daily/ burp car but primary a daily setup application. thanks for viewing my thread and any input! Kenneth

I hooked up my amp the other day and turned on the car for the first test and the protection light turned on for a couple seconds and then turned off. I wasnt getting any power to the speakers so i checked the manual and it said i either have a short in the speaker wire or my amp is faulty. So i disconnected my speakers and tried again and the light still flashes on then off. Should i send the amp in? Its an SAX-50.4

Just wondering what the cut out is for the 12" sd-1? I'm not too familiar with making holes for subs so I don't know if there is a pretty much close to standard size or if theres a specific size I need. I was also gonna try to make it with a double baffle to try to have that flush mount look. I would probably need the outside diameter of the speaker also. As I type this I'm in the process of building the box. I'm realizing I'm not that great at cutting wood. Some of the pieces are mm longer or shorter than others. It's too hard to get perfect cuts with no experience in wood working. Honestly I'm not to confident in the box. Should I put maybe silicon or somethin…

If I have two 1-Ohm 12" FI SSD's with the VC wired in series, and the speakers wired parallel making it 1-ohm. If they are hooked into a Sundown SAZ-1000d does that give the both of them 1000 watts (approx) a piece or do they both share the wealth and get 500 watts (approx) each?? In the same aspects of things, if there individually wired with the VC's wired series = 2 ohms, if the amp puts out 600 watts @ 2-ohms, does that mean there getting (approx) 300 watts a piece?? I'm being held by pirates and this is the only thing that will set me free.

Ive been planning and install for over 2 years swapping out different components and subs and wiring and batteries and even cars. But I finally landed a good job and was making money I decided it was time to treat my self. Back when Jacob started SA, I was excited to get the new amps and was even going to test .5 ohm, yeah that long ago, is when i really started to plan this system, well a couple weeks ago I finally got it installed by Aaron over at Innovative rides. It was a quick weekend install and I just wanted the major work done. I still have to fix the dash and finish the rear deck, but I wanted to post how happy I was that it was done and how much I have enjoyed t…

  20. Ok, I am the final stages of planning my system. Car is a 1997 Nissan Maxima. Musical preference is Rock and Roll( AcDc, Pink Floyd, Rush and pretty much all heavy metal). Amps are going to be all Sundown. I have 4 E8's on order for the midbass powered by a SAX-1004.D, 2 in front doors, 2 in rear deck. Front Stage (in addition to E8 midbass) will be Mach 5 MLi-65's and Seas 27TFFNC/G Tweeters active powered by a SAX-100.4D. My question comes down to the substage. I had originally planned 2 FI Q15's sealed on a SAZ-3000D. Only reason for that is I've always had sealed enclosures, I've never tried a ported. I'm open to opinions here, so here are the 2 options I'm t…

  21. Finally did some real testing on the KIA last night. I actually did a 149.2 sealed, but forgot to take a pic of it. This was done at 45 Hz and a little over 2600 watts clamped total for both amps. Amps are wired @ 1 ohm each rising to 3 ohms. All settings on deck were flat, and loud button off. Cone rise is killing my power and score. Need dual 2 ohm subs bad. Crazy thing is truck and box are same frequency. Also did a hard core run and the score was a 150.8. Here is a pic of the Term Lab Score.

Hey guys! Well I finally got the amp from Mark today. Just thought I would take a bunch of pics and share them to everybody! The amp looks so sweet! I love it already even though it's not hooked up yet Some of the pictures came out a little blurry because I didn't use flash for most of them but its ok. Can't wait to get this baby hooked up!

  24. finally got my system up and running, and after a little break-in preriod to let the spiders soften up a bit, i've finally got a daily system that i can pound on and be happy with. 2x saz3500d's and 2x ns v2 18's in 8 cubes @ 30hz sealed on the dash: so 153.9 @ 37hz on music, 152 @ 30hz. the loud n low champs thread made me decide to post this up so people take the ns V2's into consideration when doing a daily build...they're very capable of getting low while being loud, and the new v2's take abuse like a champ! (not recommended for those who dont know what they're doing)
