I recently installed my SAZ-3500 with two FI BTL and everything works real good, I then connected the bass knob when I turn the bass knob down to the minmum (no maximum) the amp goes into protect. Help please I really like to have control of the bass. What can I do? And, why does it do that....

Hey all I have an issue that's starting to annoy me. I currently have 2x sundown 2500d strapped at 1hm each. Running 2X 15" in a 10 cube box tuned to 32hz. Electrical is dc ho alt 270, xsD3100 in front and rear. 3 runs of power and grounds are all doubled in 0 gauge. What's happening started with the new box. The last box was a perfab bout 6cubes. When I play some songs that get real loud my slave cuts off. I can play it fine on alot of songs but when I get to the songs that have mad lows my slave amp cut out. When I'm driving i never drop below 13.2 Volts and i dont play at idle. Amps never get hot and happens right away when I play Thoes few songs. What should I do!! Ca…

Sundown did a hell of a job @ MidwestSPL finals this past weekend. Klade Turner and Daniel Arbuckle (ME) were both in the same class and took 1st and 2nd place in the Basic 4 class. Team Sundown FTW! I took second in a "pretty box" with two 15" Nightshades, Klade took 1st place. WTG Klade! Had never met Klade before this weekend and was glad to meet him, great competitor there. GJ! can i get to nightshades dual 1 ohm, wire them dowm to 0.25 ohm and run it on my 3500d. i will have about 3 batteies and h/o alternator with 250 amp. in the testing jake did the resistance, and it rose to 0.67 ohms. which they can run @0.5 ohms, right?

Would a 1000D properly power two RockFord Fosgate 15" P3's without straining too much or would getting the 1500D be the better bet? Also, any suggestions on a dual 15" setup for less than $700 are welcomed. Setup is for a friend. Will be going in a Crown Vic.

I have to choose between the SAZ-1500d or a Audiopipe AP30001D. I know the build quality is better on the SAZ, but I believe I will get more output from the AP. My electrical is a stock 140 amp alternator in a dodge magnum and a extra battery (NSB90). I need to power a pair of Fi Q15's. Being unbiased, which amp would better suit my setup? I wanted to give the subs 1k watts each... I was used to 150+ because I was running 4 Q15's on an IA40.1, but now I am just going to run two, but want to lose as little output as possible. Oh yeah, the Q's are both dual 1 ohm w/ no extras. Thanks for your assistance.

Just a sneak peak of whats going on the next few days Just thought I'd share. Was too lazy to take them out to lay it out, but you get the idea. I decided to make the switch to these from my Image Dynamics X69s. The X69s were awesome because they were a breeze to install. They did not come cheap though. My biggest gripe with them is that well they basically kept falling apart on me. I had the voice coil separate from the cone three times. Yes I was giving them way beyond the recommended power, but the coils still never even smelled, the speaker just came apart. I was able to sell the pair to cover the cost of these speakers and some luckily. First impressions unwrapping, the cone is not a beauty to look at lol. Basically, I have just bought two (more) ReSponse 1500 watt amps, same board as the SAZ-1500. These amps are protection happy at 0.5ohm per amp, which puzzles me, as I have used two others in the past, (one borrowed, one mine) that happily played everything, wired at 0.5ohm daily... Does anyone have the schematic of the protection circuit in the sundown amp? so I can potentially compare values, or possibly someone can point me in the direction of what components may need to be changed? thanks!

Doing final wiring before i get to test out the system. On the manual for a single sub connection, it says to bridge to speaker +, on the speaker -, do i bridge that too? here's what the pic on the manual looks like hope i get the answer soon before the rain comes back thanks

My SA-15's came in the mail and im looking forward to building a box for them shortly but i find that there are no T/S specs at all on the SA-15's page over at sundownaudio.com Help?

If I have two 1-Ohm 12" FI SSD's with the VC wired in series, and the speakers wired parallel making it 1-ohm. If they are hooked into a Sundown SAZ-1000d does that give the both of them 1000 watts (approx) a piece or do they both share the wealth and get 500 watts (approx) each?? In the same aspects of things, if there individually wired with the VC's wired series = 2 ohms, if the amp puts out 600 watts @ 2-ohms, does that mean there getting (approx) 300 watts a piece?? I'm being held by pirates and this is the only thing that will set me free.

ok! I have just a general question on spl boxes . lets say you have a box that can do a db of 150 in a ... lets say... a suburban now lets say you have two duplicate set ups two same boxes, two same amps , two same subs and you put both boxes in the same car would you end up with 300 db? now i know its more technical then being able to stick the same boxes together to make more db's , so whats the science behind this? also i know that its hard just to have the power going to the amps for a single setup none the less two setups so lets just say the power is coming from an outside source into this suburban ones again just l…

im on the verge of purchasing my amps for my blaze and wanted to kno wha amp should i run for these comps. ill be runnin 2 sets in my doors. wha amps would be best for these so i can get em to the potential. a 2ch or 4ch? an amp on each set? thanx

My current setup is 2 12" Orion xtr pros dvc 4 ohms wired to 1 ohm powered by rd audio 1000.1 v1 amp with all 0 gauge power and grounds. I have a stock 110 amp alt with a big three upgrade in knukonceptz copper clad 1/0 wire and a litte beefer battery then my car requires. I've been looking into sundown for a while and would love to get a sae 1200 v2. My electrical handles the 1000.1 pretty good, lights don't realy dim unless I'm parked with it cranked up, and voltage doesn't usually go under 13. I know it'd be ideal to upgrade to a HO alt but I don't plan on having this car for more than a year or so. So I was thinking could I upgrade to the sundown amp if I added a yell…

Just thought I'd post a few pics of my build thats about 45% done. Few Pics of the Van The enclosure: Test fit of the subs I have ripped up the plywood that was bolted to the floor and romoved the back seat. Need to fill the screw holes and tint my windows before I put my enclosure in. When I put the enclosure in I will brace it with 2x4's all the way around.
