I have done a lot of searching and can't find anything in general to the problem I am having. I am ready to pull the trigger on the pre-order of the SA-8v2, but I cannot get the enclosure figured out. I am not looking for a pure SPL, or a pure SQ enclosure. I want to be able to listen to it at normal volumes for most music, and then dial in the remote knob when the bass is pumping on certain songs. I want a small vented enclosure with 1 D4 SA-8v2. (I want a vented enclosure because I haven't heard any success stories with a sealed enclosure) I will be powering this sub with a SAX-1200D (I know it is overkill, but I want the option to add a second or a larger pair of subs… -

Testing coming later... change a tad from the initial layout. We ended up with 8x IRFP360LC output FETs -- 66% of what the SAZ-3000D / 2500D have. This output section is WAY stronger than the 1500D v.1 what features IRF640 / 9640 units. Power supply features the same number of FETs as the original 1500D but a new more powerful part like the SAZ-2500D has. Power supply transformers and output inductors not changed from the v.1 1500D -- overall size down about 1.6" * Old 1500D on top and new 1500D v.2 on bottom * Internal fuses removed for SPL competition purposes - customers will need an external ANL unit * New driver board * Old driver board -

Ok. I ordered a Sundown Audio SA-10 Sub. Had it hooked up to a Alpine Pdx-1.600 mono amp. Was getting this rattling/slapping noise from the sub at all volumes and all gain but of course it was less severe the lower the volume/gain but was still present. I thought maybe i could have received a bad sub so i got it exchanged. I originally ordered a dual 4 ohm and got a dual 2 ohm which was not too bad since i could still use it but the replacement i received is a dual 4ohm and does not fit in my box. The dual 2 ohm did but the dual 4ohm does not. No idea why the impedance would make a difference on depth. Got the new sub in today and it still makes this noise. I am starting … -

I decided to go through our fabled "sea of woofers" and try to get some of this stuff sold... we hired a new guy, Pedro (my cousin), and he organized it a bit to make even thinking about selling it manageable. First... the fabled sea in a somewhat organized form... I cannot get it all in one photo but you get the idea : It goes farther left and right. On the the yard sale! I am not interested in re-building ANY of these items before shipping them out due to time contstraints -- refer to a service like FixMySpeakeror your favorite custom builder for that -- I can ship directly to either if you like. * TRF Motor and Basket - $350 shipped in continental 48 states * MIN… -

We did 148.6 on the first run but we didn't take a picture... got hot after a couple of burps so it went down a hair We have four 1500Ds @ 2 ohms each on it, no clue on actual power after rise - but I think it would actually sustain more on a burp. Not bad for my upcoming 1000-watt rated woofer, huh ? -

ANY AMPLIFIER SOLD AFTER MARCH 31st 2007 NO LONGER CARRIES 0.5 OHM WARRANTY COVERAGE. Full explanation is available in this thread: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7556 ---------- If you intend to run your SAZ-1500D at a 0.5 ohm nominal load please read this entire thread, especially the sections in bold near the bottom. To put it simply at the top... this is a warranty against damage NOT a guarantee that your setup will run without a hitch at 0.5 ohms all the time. I suggest that most consumers run a DCR not under 0.7 ohms for daily applications, and to reserve extremely low impedance use for competition. Read the full text for all details. ------… -

A guy sent me his car to work on for a few months. I received it today and I've still got to figure out what I CAN do in it. By the time it's done, I'll be doing what I can in the trunk and redoing the door panels. The goal (if I can make it fit) is two SAZ-3500d's, a SAX-200.4, four Neo-Pro 10's and four Neo-Pro 8's. -

Now you can do just about anything with it! A little SAX-100.4 history: SAX-100.4 -- Original model SAX-100.4B -- Updated crossover ranges SAX-100.4C -- Upgraded from 50-amp to 70-amp power supply transistors SAX-100.4D -- This is the newest model ----- The following functionality will be had with the crossovers: ALL CHANNELS: Subsonic @ 10 Hz - 500 Hz (always on, can be used as the HPF for a band-pass setup in conjunction with the LPF) HPF @ 50 Hz - 500 Hz w/ x10 button (selectable 12dB / 24dB slope) LPF @ 50 Hz - 500 Hz w/ x10 button (selectable 12dB / 24dB slope) ----- So, what will you be able to do with the new model that you couldn't do before ? 1) You can bridge th… -

I came in yesterday and built this bad boy... a customer had ONE unit on order for a bit and I got a pair of the Aluminum sleeves as samples so I am building this one and one other one this week (both with fat 8-layer coils and are single sub orders). These also don't call for any Gap ID sleeves as they use the fat coil -- so I have enough parts to make them  ----- * Collecting the parts up. * You can see the black coated aluminum pole sleeve in place on the pole but not Gap ID sleeve -- so the overall gap is still pretty massive. The "fat" coil fills it up nicely, though. * Starting the rear glue joint * Rear glue joint completed * Prototype "XL… -

Alright.. There is a huge hype on the sa-8's.. badass speakers ive heard.. is the other SA speakers comparable? .. hope that makes sense.. what im asking is would the sa-8 sound better than the 10 or 12? they are all reasonably priced, but if the 8 sounds so damn good can i expect the same from the 12? I know the nightshade is a beast.. thats not in question. -

I've talked to him alot about this setup... putting the rear deck back in, metal and all (it bolts in an out), has only a few tenths effect on the score so this is a REAL trunk build. It has done as much as 153.1 dB to date -- on the dash. And 152s at the head-rest... in the 40-44 Hz region. Scores done with seats locked in the upright position. SAZ-4500D is wired to 1 ohm. I'll get him to send me some pictures of the scores when his internet is back up -- and videos too. They are stock SA-12s straight out of the factory box. No modifications to them. -

I've had my dealers asking me for years for a shallow component set so I started on one... here are some sneak peeks of the first sample set. We are testing them in Nick's car since he is a big SQ guy They are VERY shallow and will fit in any application I can imagine. For a driver this shallow excursion is not bad; obviously not a super high throw driver but crossover over steeply at 80 Hz will do nicely. So far we've tested the mid and we are very pleased for the depth and cost... Overall set price would be under $200 from an authorized dealer. -

So... who would do it ? Lets say if this amp was a full 1 dB louder than even the SAZ-3500D on 12v @ 1 ohm... and the 3500D was already 1 dB louder than the 3000D. Maybe it's already been in testing for a while So we are talking ~2dB gain from the SAZ-3000D on this bad boy. Pre-Order price would be around $1200 or so shipped. Lets see a show of hands. -
