ok my buddy is installing my 100.4 and my 32 6.5" coaxials. they hooked up 16 of the 32 speakers in channel 1 and 2. they wired sets of 8 to 2 ohm. when they turned it on it seemed really quiet. but when they turn it up the amp goes into protect. any specific reason this might be happening????

What power supply 12v do i need to power up Sundown 1000.1 monoblock amp

So they arrived a couple of days ago but my lazy roommate hasn't gone and picked them up yet. About a week and a half ago I talked him into order a pair of 10s to replace the current Kenwoods under his backseats in the GMC Sierra. ok to start off i have a 99 s10 ext cab, with a false floor in the back, under it is a saz 2K, and a 125.2. i started with only about 1" of air space above the amps before the floor, then i found out the 125.2 was getting soo hot i could not even touch it, but would never go into thermal (protect). also that was getting that hot within a 10-15min drive. i also found that it only got hot at high volumes. so today i raised the floor up 3/4" i have about 2" of air space now above the 125.2, i also added right beside the amp blowing over it, a 120mm and a 80mm fan, on the other end of the floor i have a single 80mm blowing over my 2K, as i found it really didnt get that hot. …

So what am I looking at for draw on a 3000d at 2 ohms. I'm considering 4 of the sd1v2 10s (ok, I'm considering lots of different setups...anyways) Basically I don't want to pay out my ass on electrical and upgrade my alternator and take up alot of space for batteries. I got a Magnum which has a 160 amp alt stock. What can I get by for batteries. Will a single Powermaster 3100 do it. Almost forgot, front stage will be a pair of sax100.2's. Thanks.

I have two sundown audio sa-10s that i'm not to happy with. They're not getting very loud at all off a saz2500d and i think my box is to blame. I designed and built the enclosure myself, its suppose to be 2.5cubes after displacements tuned to 32hz but not sure how well that worked out. Im at the point where i'm considering selling the 10's and upgrading to 12's or a single 15 cause i'm frustrated with how they sound. I can try a new box but would hate to put the time and money into it if thats not the problem. Current box dimensions are 30x20x14 exterior and the port is 3x12.5x31. well im upto a 153.2db now as my burp score 8 sundown 1500d's 4 dd 9515's (pre-wired) ****UPDATE**** this is with no testing other than throwing the subs and amps in and checking volume and tunning 153.2db burps score 152.3db bassrace (perfect start) 151.9db bassrace (later start) this is as clean as it gets untill i get to a 155db

I was planning on switching to four nightshade 12's but the sa 12's are looking very attractive to me now. Jacob I saw you had four of them on two 3500d's how did they hold up. I have two 3000d's on four dd3512's right now and this is the third time I have had a motor shift and they are far away for warranty work vs sundown. Money isn't really an issue but I wanna get the most bang for my buck. The car is a daily driver. And I'm very careful with the gain nob. Is the output of the sa comparable to the 3512 sub

Well, my wife entered the truck last Saturday because it looked like it was going to be a small show. Shortly there after the other cars rolled in and although a smallish show we had to go up against 5 other cars. She took home 2nd in sound quality against the likes of Audison, Hertz, Zapco installed cars. We would have been trailing just behind #1 if it wasnt for some gain hiss and a turn off (mechanical) pop....JAKE you need to get this problem handled. well i hooked up the 1500d in place of my sub channel on my belle and i with i had a meter.not much difference in sound. i have it @.7ohm (dual 1.5 ohm) and i just can't hear any difference in the 2 amp's.but as soon as i get my meter I'm going to test the differnce. yes i have 2 battery's to run off of one optima and 1 stinger in the hatch. anyways later

2 days ago i replaced that old, OLD pioneer head unit with a clarion flip out(vrx765vd) but im unsure as to where i put my amp rca's, i mean it has like 4 pairs on the back of the head unit.....right now i have it on "non-fader output terminal" should it be on "rear audio output terminal"? it also has "front audio output terminal" which i didnt use for obvious reasons.......sorry for the newbish question....but this was my 1st reciever install!!!!! oh, and the box in the vid was a first too....got anxious so i didnt sand/paint/carpet anything but honestly i kinda like the "raw" look.....besides the glue smear lol also another question, if i may.......do you think interna…

Picked up a pair of 3000D's. Will be powering 2 DVC 4 ohm subs. Would there be any benefit of strapping and running a pair to 4 ohms over running just a single to 1 ohm? Output? Efficiency? etc? Any thoughts?

ive got a 1500d on 4 12's.i just turned my gain up a tad bit and now its hittn hard but skippn my cd player when it hits a certain bass note.ive got to fix this probablem cause i do competitions and i cant be having that.ive got a alpine 9885.any sugestions as to what i can do.thanks guys.ive still got another amp to put in.thats why im worried
