i have a sa-8 d2 and i was wondering what box would be better. Need help on deciding which amp to choose to run my 2 - sa8s?

so ive just finished building my 2nd box for these, and still not satisfied. ive done subs forward, port up in middle, but the box made me move my seat to close to the steering wheel it was 6 cubes 80sq inches of port, and i think there wasn't enough port area. sounded good though. my new box is subs up, port up (drivers side) 6 cubes, 94 sq inches of port. both box's tuned to 32 hz, so im looking to for help on something will i will be happy with, im not looking for numbers, just something that gets low and hella loud at it. my truck is a 99 s10 ext cab. do i need a bigger box for such low tuning? higher tuning? i play a lot of low 30-35 hz songs when i have it full ti…

I know the amp has not been released yet.. But I have preordered the amp through a rep and is expected to come in the beginning of june. Any recomendations of electrical upgrades on my vehicle. batteries, wires, alternator, etc...I have a 2000 Honda passport lx. I will also be running a sax-100.4 also. I'm trying get everything as good as it could get so I can run the amps efficiently and get its full potential without blowing them.

This is probly a frequent flying question, but I was wondering if somebody could lead me in the right direction. I'm getting a 15 Fi Q sub, and I cant decide on which sub would be best for me. My 100.2 was pushing a set of PG RSD's until the passenger side mid and tweet stopped working.....but the drivers side was fine. I replaced the PG's with a set of Pioneer TS-C720PRS and after two weeks I noticed the tweeter from passenger side was cutting out. Eventually the tweeter stopped working all together, and now my mid is cutting out on me......and it doesn't matter if it is at high volumes or low volumes. So basically to sum it all up: The channel that's pushing my passenger side has blown through two different comp sets and I'm wondering if something is wrong with the amp, or if I'm doing something wrong (the drivers side mid and tweet are fine). decided to try an sa15 out powered by channels 3 and 4 bridged on my 200.4. 900-1000 watts roughly. this box is 3.8 cube after displacement with a single 6" aero 17.5" long tuned to 31ish hz lol. 17x31x17 is the dimensions. not shooting for huge numbers just wanted to throw something in my gas saver daily driver. 1991 civic hatch behind the seats. so ill still have full function of my rear seats. eventually ill buy a round over bit to round over all the edges but right now this is where its at. not sure how long ill be using the box cuz im sure someone local will decide to buy it just like every other box i seem to build haha.

hello guys i have a question that i want to here your input on..... i have a 100.2 that i just recently got from jake.... last night i added a grill to my sub box, thats it. i then played some late night tip to check for clearance. at this time my mid basses were playing. my 100.2 running off low section on my 3 way on my 880 prs. the sub amp then daisy chains to the 100.2's outputs. I just want to say thank you to Jacob at Sundown with all the help he has given me. I purchased an SAE-1200v1 from a person on another forum, and as soon as I hooked the amp up it went into protection. I checked my wiring, and even hooked up another amp, which worked fine, but the Sundown just kept going into protection. This was on a Sunday, and Monday morning I sent Jacob an email asking if there was a remedy to my problem. Of course, I had no documentation for the amp in question, so Jacob offered to send me either a new 1200v2 or a 1500, both for a very nominal upgrade fee. I jumped on the chance to get the 1500. Well I have 4 sa-8's and have messed around with 5 different boxes with different configurations. I posted my best score today using MECA AS2 specs. I scored a 137.5 on a single 8" sub. This smoked several larger systems built by people who didn't know any better.

well i'm throwing my first show this month and would like some feedback from you guy's. 1-2 woofer's 3-4 woofer's armagedan (anything goes just dont break my sensor) first place winner's will win a 4 gauge install kit with rca's and anybody that enter's has a chance to win a custom box,2 10" subs,6.5" comp's or a small 2 channel amp. Greetings Folks, I'm in the process of upgrading my setup to 2 RE Audio SX15's and I'm on the verge of crossing over into Sundown's territory by powering them with a SAZ-3000D. The amp will see a 2ohm load. I have no intentions of competing but I want to shake things up whenever I get the urge (usually when cops aren't present). Would this be an ideal amp for these subs as a daily driver? The subs are going in a 8 cube CRX box tuned to 34hz. The vehicle is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Thanks to all for your views/replies!!

Hello i live in alpena mi and we have a business here and they claim to be a authorized dealer... they said the samething about alpine and they were not a direct dealer and they go through another dealer to get there supplys and now they carry sundown... so i guess my question is if any one knows if they are a authorized dealer or not that would help out a great deal...

is it safe to buy a refurbished amp? im planing on buying a bnew sae1200d but i saw that dbr is selling refurbished amps. and iam thinking on buying a refurbished saz1500d. whats the down side in buying refurbished amps? aside from its already used. any suggestions?? thanks

Well I got my saz1500 installed yesterday at a local shop. Today i decided that i was going to set the gains to 1200watts for my FI 15" BL. while using a DMM i am only able to get 26 volts out of my amp with volume 30/40. 0db tone CD DMM High to Low installed with my Stock stereo system Sub: Fi 15 BL Enclosure: 3.7ft^3 @ 32hz (ported) Amp: Saz-1500 Other: 1/0 gauge - 250amp Fuse - Stock Battery Any thoughts to whats wrong?
