Sundown Audio

hallo im using alpine 9855R with sundown saz1500 on dual genesis audiophile 30.01. my problem is when i connect rca to the regular INPUT connection even on full gain the subs almost not move but when i connect rca to the BR connection the subs working great but i dont have control on gain etc.... what can be the problem?

Well I got my saz1500 installed yesterday at a local shop. Today i decided that i was going to set the gains to 1200watts for my FI 15" BL. while using a DMM i am only able to get 26 volts out of my amp with volume 30/40. 0db tone CD DMM High to Low installed with my Stock stereo system Sub: Fi 15 BL Enclosure: 3.7ft^3 @ 32hz (ported) Amp: Saz-1500 Other: 1/0 gauge - 250amp Fuse - Stock Battery Any thoughts to whats wrong?

i have a 98 eclipse and i am tring to decide if i should run 4 sa-10's on 2 1500d's or 2 ns 10's on 2 3500d's wondering which would be louder to the ear what do you guys think and i know you wont know untill its put in and tried just wondering about basic assumptions and what kind of opinions i might get

well i fixed my fuse blowing problem. the guy i got the amp from had 25amp fuses in the amp and when i looked over the owner manual it called for 30 amp fuse. now my amp flicker on and off when the remote wire is hook up and also it makes my head unit flicker on and off to. what could cause this? it never done this with my other amps i had hook up with the same power and ground and remote wire.

I know the amp has not been released yet.. But I have preordered the amp through a rep and is expected to come in the beginning of june. Any recomendations of electrical upgrades on my vehicle. batteries, wires, alternator, etc...I have a 2000 Honda passport lx. I will also be running a sax-100.4 also. I'm trying get everything as good as it could get so I can run the amps efficiently and get its full potential without blowing them.

Went to AudioThunder in Niagra Falls new york with some small changes to the vehicle. Terrible drive up due to conditions outside but well worth it! Eclipse is doing 154's a lot more often now that I strengthened somethings in the rear hatch and removed the spoiler that was leaking some air. 2nd in the preliminary (saturday) 1st place in the finals for bass race (sunday) Should get a 55+ out of it charged. so i was tunin my amp for my 12" Q. and i wanted to use as little bass boost as normal on the amp. but even if i maxed out the gains, set my LPF around 80hz, and turned down my bass boost to 0db. i was only puttin out about 17 volts (if i remember correctly i did it early this morning). i know it was below 20.. and i needed about 31.6 volts. is this normal? i used 50hz tone when i had no BB, and when i used it, i used a 60hz tone. the only way i was able to reach my needed volts, was when my gains are just over 3/4 set, and my bass boost is about the same spot, 15-17db. but is that about normal? would it be better if i maxed out the bass boost and compensated with my gai…

My 100.2 was pushing a set of PG RSD's until the passenger side mid and tweet stopped working.....but the drivers side was fine. I replaced the PG's with a set of Pioneer TS-C720PRS and after two weeks I noticed the tweeter from passenger side was cutting out. Eventually the tweeter stopped working all together, and now my mid is cutting out on me......and it doesn't matter if it is at high volumes or low volumes. So basically to sum it all up: The channel that's pushing my passenger side has blown through two different comp sets and I'm wondering if something is wrong with the amp, or if I'm doing something wrong (the drivers side mid and tweet are fine). Hello i live in alpena mi and we have a business here and they claim to be a authorized dealer... they said the samething about alpine and they were not a direct dealer and they go through another dealer to get there supplys and now they carry sundown... so i guess my question is if any one knows if they are a authorized dealer or not that would help out a great deal...

Specs are per 8 subs 1/2 of the box, I used bb6 to calculate a box prism w/ a truncated edge, and basically doubled it and put both sides on top one another. Fb is actually the f3 on the picture, and the calculated fb for three 34" long 2"x10.58" ports @ 2.392 cubes is 45.26, but I did not take into account the flared aspect of the alligator mouth style of this box, but added it's length to the port length...so it kinda is a mystery.

I've tried emailing support like 5 days ago.... Haven't heard anything back. Called a few times, always a busy signal. All I need is a replacement dustcap for my sub.

Currently have a Sa-8V2 in a 1.2^3 ported enclosure powered off a AQ1200D at 2 ohms(~850RMS).. I would like some more trunk space in my 2014 WRX hatchback and was wondering how these subs sounded like sealed? Or is it even a good idea at all?

Well I have 4 sa-8's and have messed around with 5 different boxes with different configurations. I posted my best score today using MECA AS2 specs. I scored a 137.5 on a single 8" sub. This smoked several larger systems built by people who didn't know any better.

hey i saw the amp has 4x40 amp fuses. i have also talked to a couple sundown guys who say you can get 2500 rms at .5 ohms with 14 volts. i dont understand how you can get 2500 watts from 160 amp's ?? because 160 X 14.4 and 85% efficiency equals 1958 watts i dont doubt that the amp puts out the power i just would like an explination why

Jacob, whats the airspace requirements on these? and when will they be available. Im looking to upgrade my 4 sa8s with 2 10s. would like to use the Nightshade v.2 if possible. im trying to be louder than now but i have only 2.5 ish cubes and lots of power.
