Did a couple of search's and did not find anything close to what I wanted to know. Bassically is the regular anodized aluminum trim plate that sits on top of the map removable without doing anyharm to the amp itself, by removing the 2 SHCS located on either end. Reason why I am asking is I wanted to make a custom plate for mine. Thanks in advance for any help. Toolmaker

I might be able to get a hold of a preproduction prototype model 100.4. What are the differences between the two? TIA.

I have 2 1500d that I got from Dbr and 2 Fi Q15. My HU has a 3 preout which is for front, rear and sub. Each 1500d will power a single Q15 and I connect both amp with RCA. Let say RCA from HU connect to amp A and another RCA connect from BR out of amp A to input to amp B. Is this the right way to do it? Now when I scoped amp A it shows 40.4V with gains set at 3/4 of unclipped signal. Now when I scopped amp B with max gains I only got like 32V and it does not clip. So I decided to swap the RCA from HU to amp B. I got 41.5V with gains set at 3/4 of unclipped signal. But when I scopped amp A it has the same problem. Got 31V from it unclipped with max gains. Does anyone ha…

I am very curious to hear what you have to say about buying this box - https://www.woofersetc.com/p-7421-sqp15spl-ground-shaker-15-single-ported-high-spl-box.aspx It would be going with a Sundown nightshade. The 4.2 cu ft. seem good and the box looks nice to me. I know building one will be a little cheaper but it probably wont come out as nice and would save me the headache of building one myself. But if you recommended that I just build one myself then that's what ill do. I emailed them asking what the tuning is so if its not around 33hz then obviously wont get. Also its not double baffled so idk if it will be strong enough for 2500 watts. Theirs also this http://cgi.eba…

I rewired my sub from 1ohm to 4ohm & was wondering do I need to reset my gains or redo the wiring config. from my amp to my sub ? My set-up is in my sig. line if that helps. It sounds the same but maybe not as punchy as before & it has a little less volume in the substage. I can hear my front stage alot better now also. Also I messed up & stripped out one of my screw mounting holes in my enclosure. Is there an easy fix or should I just go ahead & get a nut & bolt for it? Thanks, Chris.

Finally got all the pieces together and got the system intalled in my Mazda 3. Bought one of the refurbed 50.4's from db-r at the great price they were offering them at to serve as the power for my satellites. Using an old set of Boston Acoustic Pro 5.4's that I've had for years and never did get around to putting into a car for now. The power light adds a ghostly blue-white glow to the interior of my 3. So far, it sounds absolutely amazing.

So my next install will consist of 2-saz2000 and 2-15inch NS d2 and i was wondering how much AH i should have on my batteries to support my 2 saz2000 straped at 2ohm? i know i read somewhere that if it is at 1ohm just take the fuse size and divide it by 2 and there you go! so for 1 saz2000 at 1ohm i would need a mini of 100ah battery to support it! now i am wondering, i got a good deal on some nsb 90 (90ah) and i can't pass up the deal but they are only 90ah each and i want to get 2 of them. now will this 90ah (180ah total) be enough to support 4krms at 2ohm? thanks for your time Kenneth

Ok i'm trying to get down to around 6-6.5 cubes net. but the dimensions i came up with won't work because the subs will be basically sitting on the ports. I've went over so many different dimensions and they're all coming out to around 7-7.5 cubes after port and sub. I wanna do subs up ports back, will be using 4 4" full length aero's. i've got a max of 24" high 37" wide and 24" deep to work with. Someone give me a hand, as i want to start this build tomorrow. If it matters this will be for straight daily and bass race. Also, it will be going in a 2001 2dr. blazer Thanks

Okay, I think I have it done, my electrical will consist of a 300 amp alternator (Iraggi), A Powermaster S1200) up front, (2) D1200's for the trunk, all wiring for batteries and amps will be 1/0 ga., Subs will be (4) of the SA-12's powered by (2) of the SAZ-1500D's. This is all going into the back of my 2001 Camry, with the box designed by banginAltima (as soon as he's done) so hopefully the Mad Scientist of SPL (Jacob Fuller) will be proud of me

I just picked up a 3rd 1500D last night for a steal of a deal and might pick up a 4th in a few weeks if the guy decides to sell it. Is there way to wire one remote gain knob to both strapped pairs of them? If not how do you normally control multiple amps as I really like being able to turn them up/down from the driver's seat?

I purchased a 1200D a while back, strapped it up worked great for a long while on the Xcon but as of recent it started cutting out. Power was still on, wasnt in protect ever. It would stay on the majority of the day and eventually at night it would work for 30 secs after i turned my car on then stop playing. Itd be fine for a few days, then happen again..but now it hasnt worked in a week. Any suggestions on what to look for? I switched the rca's and it didnt change anything. Any input would be great.

Sold the last of the SAE-1200Ds today and this line is now discontinued. The SAE-1200D v.2 made big strides in reliability vs. the v.1 model but still does not quite live up to the standard set by the SAZ/SAX series amps in my mind. It was a tough decision as we really wanted to offer a lower cost line but at this time it is not fitting into my plan for Sundown Audio. I've spent alot of time thinking about it and had not made my final decision until today -- I had made plans to introduce matching multi-channels but these plans are now halted. I think the change will be for the better as we can concentrate on our core lines, the SAX and SAZ amps. The SAX-1200D is only slig…

going to be running the 100.2 or 125.2 on my 2 sets of PG rsd 6.5" components, so i wanted a matching sub amp. so i figured the saz1000d would be a nice match, nearly the same length in size, etc. so, how many subs should i run off this 1000d, where each sub wont be getting too much power for a daily setup? its for the back of the dakota, its a single cab, so not alot of room at all, thats why im thinking about going sealed, and jacob said they do good in about 0.2 cubes each.

And I know it sounds like a woofer's blown at the end, but it's just the rear panel in the car vibrating. I kind of freaked out when I opened the trunk also, until I figured out what it was.

currently i have 2 12 nightshades in right now, and when the big sale on the 12's were going on a few months ago, i paid for two and put 200 down for 2 more when i was looking at getting a bigger car... my question is would i be louder with maybe buying another 1500d and pay the remaining 85 to take one sub or put the money towards upgrading them to 15 baskets . so.... 3 12 ns on 3 1500's or 2 15 ns on 2 1500d's(also i really like the sound of 15's) my last set up was a btl 15 on 2 1500ds in a chambered t-line and that set up equally if not more louder than this set. current 12's are in a 4.4 cube @ 35 hz. when the decision is made, pete will be building my box, always wa…

Hey, i would be glad to get some Suggestions from you Guys I wanna Build a Box for the 2 18s i gonna buy from Tye, they will be running off 2 3000Ds the Box should be good for Daily groundpounding but my goal is the 150. What kinda Airspace, Port Area and Port length would you guys suggest me? This is what my Trunk looks like (not my car) i got the dimensions from the back part of the trunk, but since fitting Port and Subs at the Top will be kind of hard (damn domes) i thought about doing something like a mini wall with subs and port behind the frontseats facing forward what you guys think?

Jacob, from what I have seen you post in the past couple weeks on the new sub, it sounds like you are planning on making it for more of a ported/spl/ high power app? If so, I have an idea which you may or may not like. I suggest that you make 2 versions of it, 1 for the ported/spl crowd, and another that is totally for the small sealed crowd. I don't know if it's possible to do with the same motor and just a soft parts swap.. call 1 the p8, and one the s8. I have 8 of your e8's and I like them, but wish they had more power handling in a small sealed app. They do tend to bottom fairly easily when you get some power to them, in the recced enclosure. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, …

The subs are still going strong. I have been torturing them to say the least and they have been hanging in there. I have demoed them to plenty of customers and still love the expression on their faces when they exit the car.
