The remote gain control for the SAZ 1500D. The cable that connects to the amp. Is it special or can I use any cable with RJ11 ends?

So I hooked up my 100.4. I'm running 4 10 inch RE re's. I ran the subout rcas to the channels 1 and 2 and then ran 3 and 4 off the line outs. I'm using a dmm to tune the amp so I first put the 80hz 0db tone on at a low volume to set my low pass. speakers not hooked up and get all the way down. i stuck the dmm into the pos and neg of the channels 1 and 2 as if bridged. I got a reading of like .725V AC max and turned the low pass knob down until it started to change and figured that must be set at 80hz then. next I read each channel just to compare. they were .36 and .349V. Jacob, I just wanted to thank you for having the vision and the balls to make amps like yours. I have enough power to make the Fiancee tell me I am rediculous without even having to really turn up the bass. I truly treasure my SAZ-3000. I am just waiting for better componants so I can actually turn the gain on my 100.4 up a bit and see what she will REALLY do. But that as always costs $$$ Thanks again, Jordan

hey jacob with 3 of ur 3000ds so far with my windshield losing its seal and moving 4" im doing a 157 at 39hz with my batteries not being charged for 4 months. solid solid solid amps!! cant wait to buy 3 more will post vids and pictures as soon as i get them. the van has a show to attend in 2 hours oh and btw thats my wall still being bare mdf and not curved or anything only gonna get louder!!! watch out bassracers haha

Attention Team Sundown and other customers looking at 3000s. At the current rate of sales the 3000Ds will run out before I get more in stock. This year has shown incredible sales for the 3000Ds, well beyond my predicted averages. Just a heads up so you can make your plans accordingly if you NEED some before they are out. People here in SC have never heard of Sundown Audio and after seeing my scores they ask about them at every show. The basic questions are where can I buy them and what all kind of products do they have. I try to explain as much as I can but it gets really time consuming doing that over and over. Its also tough without any visual references and specific information on hand. Do you have any type of brochure or product cards that I could hand out to people? We really need a dealer here in SC. That way I could direct people there. Right now all I know to do is send them to the website.

First of all I would like to thank Jacob for giving me the oppurtunity to buy his amp! installed The saz-1500 replaced my RFt10001bd, All I can say is wow! this amp had more balls,sounded better, and took less space! I am not the techie kind of guy but for a consumers point of view, the most important thing is that the product gave an improvement,it did not let you down,performed more than expected and most of all you know that you are backed by an excellent guy! Alright, not sure if jacob remembers but I bought a used 1500D off a guy named Rob E and it started blowing fuses everytime the amp would turn on...........and now, surprisingly im having the same problem. Amp ran just fine for almost a year then all of a sudden it just cut out during a song. I've been using gold plated 80 amp agu the whole time..... ok my buddy is installing my 100.4 and my 32 6.5" coaxials. they hooked up 16 of the 32 speakers in channel 1 and 2. they wired sets of 8 to 2 ohm. when they turned it on it seemed really quiet. but when they turn it up the amp goes into protect. any specific reason this might be happening????

Do you need to have all 4 channels for the 100.4 when bridged? reason i ask is I'm using it as 320 x 2 at 4 ohms for subs which i only have 2 channels of RCAs and I don't want to have to buy Y splitters if I don't have to. If so would you use channels 1 and 2 or 1 and 3 or what? thanks guys. -Trevor

when I first installed it, it got hot shortly after, not warm but hot. I though that was odd but left it alone. after of being in use for a few hours the next day it went into protection mode. I drove it to a near by shop, they checked it out and told me the amp was damaged, I did not bridged it, I hooked it up to a 10" sd-v1 (400rms) and I only used one channel so I have no idea what caused it to fail. I'm not sure if this amp was refurbished since I got it on sale? anyone know what I did wrong? Thank you.

hey guys since i dont got a dmm handy, i want to set my 1500d as accurately as possible so can u guys who are running 1500ds or amps with similar settings give me a heads up on exactly what you guys have your settings at? ive recently been running mine on 2 type argh's and they get stinky within about 3-5 at times. so any help on settings so my amp sends a cleaner feed to my subs so they dont stink as much?

I have a 2003 toyota tundra and I want 2 upgrade from (1) 18" btl and an orion 2500d - to - (2) saz-3000d's and (2) 18" btls. But toyota has a patent on the wire harness to the alternator! So I don't know if I can recharge a good sized power bank efficiently with the 130 amp stock alt.. Unless I get a solar panel on my roof! Will a red top optima batt. with 2 powermaster 3100 batt. be enough power for (2) 3000d's? I know i'll end up running through some alternators every year. I just want a daily driver but I still want full power potientail? Does any body know anything about upgrading toyota electrical systems?

I was wanting to know when the 2000d model amp is coming out. Im piecing my system now and am goin to be buying an amp in about 1 month. Was wanting to get SAZ-2000D amp, but if its now out in time I will get the AQ2200D

i am gettin alot of question lately about this, and it seems to put off alot of people that ask for a passive set up front and a 2 ohm subwoofer. and they been asking me if i can check for the SAX100.4 for 2 ohm bridged ability. can anyone test this? i only tried for a few mins on a low power subwoofer , without any special faults. no excessive heat, no protection, no audible distortion, i was wondering if anyone could bench the 100.4 @ 2 ohm bridge usability. it could be great to find out that it can do this:) thanks Eli.

First of all, please forgive my posting in this section, but I want to hear from Sundown guys why the product is better then the other two I am thinking of, instead of "it just is". A little on my background, I was pretty into car audio back around 1996-2001, but have been out of it since then. A LOT of things have changed since. As some of you may know, I am the one who had the first pair of Nightshades delivered, thanks a whole lot Chad and Jacob. I've run into major financial problems and I need a little bit of room to breathe. My subs are the ones pictured in most of the earlier threads from Chad. The subs are still in mint condition and were only hooked up for a maximum of 3 weeks due to amp and now engine problems. I can post more pictures but as the title says, 15" Nightshade D2. 1) Would it harm the amp if you do not use all the channels? Need to send one of my speakers back for warranty and wondering if there is no speaker on channel 4 if that would hurt the amp. 2) Friend wants to upgrade his system. What type of power does bridging channels 3 & 4 give? Want to possibly run a pair of components and a sub.
