Been searching but can't find out what ohm this sub is, is it 2 or 4 ohm? is it SVC or DVC?

I'm helping my friend find some e8s and everywhere seems to be sold out, plus it looks like there's a rush for them on forums. What's the deal? Is there just a shortage in production? Update in design? On hiatus? I'm just afraid they're being discontinued.

I was pokein around the net and I read that sundown, IA, RD and Stetsom all use the EXACT same boards built by a build house out of china named ZENON. This company is supposed to make High end boards for these companies. So my question is...I have a few grand cash for my next amp why should I go with sundown when RD and IA are less if they are the same?

And I know it sounds like a woofer's blown at the end, but it's just the rear panel in the car vibrating. I kind of freaked out when I opened the trunk also, until I figured out what it was.

Sundown SAZ-1500 on a single DD 3518.........

it was late in the day that's why she looks pissed. and that day was a 148.8 but i'm up to a 151.4

Every time i start up my car, the sundown starts up but then goes straight into protect. I have the SAZ3K. I used an additional head unit to make sure it wasn't the signal. Without the RCAs plugged in and without the speaker wires plugged in it still did this. Here is a picture of the only thing i could find WRONG internally in the amp. I have had my my 3000d since Feb. back when I was pushing a pair(2) of 12'' L7s. I never got hot. Just recently I have changed my subs to a pair(2) of 15'' DD 9500. Now my amp get hot. It went thermal once. I have the gain set at alittle over a half. Bass Boost to zero, Phase to zero, and subsonic all the way down. What would cause my amp to heat up? Do my subs need more power? Am I not giving my amp enough power? I still have a stock alt at the moment(I ordered a bigger alt with 200 amps). Two retop optimas. One has the main starting and the other in the trunk. I already did the big three. Any suggestions would really help. Thanks.

Jacob, any chance of us seeing Sundown home audio amps in the future? I know you make some great bang for the buck car audio amps and I'd love to see that carried over to the home audio side of things.

Took the stupid JBL's out again since I'm still waiting patiently on my 18" and had a fun time today.....Did a 147.3 last weekend with them @ 2 ohm...decided to resin the box and drop it to 0.5ohm to see what she'd do....Heres the results.. Went to a show out in Frisco Texas with the car...took 1st place in my class and High SPL of the show....a ton of SQ cars there...A few guys were doing 149.2's and 148.9's.....I ousted them...with Sundown Power... 1 SAZ 3000D 2 12" JBL's Power Series in the back seat.. 3 DEKA 9A31's Gain - 0 Bass Boost - 0 A few pics... The set-up... The Score... The ownage.... 1st place and high SPL...

I would consider myself a "lurker" when it comes to forums. I compete in the local SPL scene here on Oahu and am a member of Team Sundown. Anyway, I've reached a landmark in my brief SPL career the other day and decided to share it with fellow Sundown Audio enthusiasts. March 2011 issue, P54,55 There is a 2nd Gen S10, that has a 15" FI BL powered by a Sundown SAZ-1200 and a 125.2 for the mid/tweets.... First of all I would like to thank Jacob for giving me the oppurtunity to buy his amp! installed The saz-1500 replaced my RFt10001bd, All I can say is wow! this amp had more balls,sounded better, and took less space! I am not the techie kind of guy but for a consumers point of view, the most important thing is that the product gave an improvement,it did not let you down,performed more than expected and most of all you know that you are backed by an excellent guy!
