  1. I'm in the process of completely changing the crx's build so I decided to start a new build log. The old one can be found here: http://www.soundsolu...1-honda-crx-si/ The last thing I did in the build was add the new second amp rack with the LEDs under both amps (which I have yet to get a decent photo of, Sefugi). From there I was just so used to everything and was starting to compete in some comps and with a local in town. First thing that needed to be done was a new front stage, again. Pre ordered the Sundown Audio Neo Pro 6.5" mids with some infinity tweets. Found a great deal on an Alpine 9887 and grabbed that up quick. Before: After: Before: After:

I started this today before I tried to change my window motor assembly and realized it was a dud. Crap. Try that again next week I guess. First time ever applying sound deadener and I should have ordered the wheel with the damplifier lite. Will be buying it soon with more damplifier for my geo as it was a bitch by hand. Took a little while but got part of the inside panel done. It will be a slow project and the other door will be done with the other window motor. Not broken but getting slower these days. Will update periodically. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv302/bigrank916/MLI-65%20project/

  8. Ok the project is to remian stealth but get loud! These trucks suck for under the seat room so the best bet is to go the the console with the enclosure....so i did......It is fairly easy to get 1.5 cubes and still remain at a resonable height and does remian comfortable. I did not take alot of early pics....I had bateries charging and could not slow down so I started taking picks about half way through......sorry. objective: Keep stock arm covers keep stock top arm/storage area. Woofer being used is a Fi 12" SSD the rest of the system is still uninstalled...I dont have the time to run wires and install the HU so a local shop willl cover this fun activity. So I drew out a…

  9. Well i am Liam from England been into car audio for 4 years now i have had the car from standard to what it looks like today all work has been done/paid for by me. The main aim for the car was a streetbasser that competes in propper droppers which is a format over here that tests how flat your system plays between 20Hz and 40Hz they test the system with the termlab on the passenger headrest and a window or door open, they test 20,25,33,40Hz and your peak then you get an average i am currently the loudest system in walled under 6,000rms. I have had 4 walled systems in the car over the last 2 years. 6 12s flat wall, 8 budget 12s ported tunnel then replaced the budget sub…

  10. Title says it all right? I've pre-ordered the subwoofers, I will get them near the end of may/ early june. This is the stratus: I will be tearing out the old baffle, and the front. Making some kind of base, battery rack, and amp rack in the trunk. Clamshell will go behind the seats, then I will seal the trunk off, stuff it with polyfill. I bought E8's (sundown) The final specs will look like this: Re = 3.37 ohms (4 ohm nominal) Fs = 34.9 hz Qes = 0.5323 Qms = 6.93 Qts = 0.4943 Vas = 7.6 L BL = 13.3 N/A Mms = 127.7 grams Cms = 162 um/N Xmax = 12mm one-way linear (70% BL method) Rated RMS Power = 200 watts Depth = 4.25" OD w/ gasket = 8 5/16" Cut Out = 7" Sealed Box: 0…

  12. Alright so many of you may know I've gone through several systems in the past few years that have ranged from third row boxes, third row walls, all the way to a b pillar wall. Every single one of these systems were only able to reach 150db and not more beyond that. I've decided to step it up a notch this time and stop doing 2 subwoofer setups in such a large vehicle. With that being said, here are some details. This is just a quick post on a S10 ext. cab that my son and I help a freind put together. He already had the subs (in a not so good box sealed). He had not done anything to help the electrical, and was very shy on amp power. So we did the Big 3, gave the boxes more air space, and he purchased a pair of affordable matching amps. Here are a few shots of the Big 3 electrical additions: By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 Pic of the enclosure/amp rack. FlyBoy wanted the amps to mount between the subs at an angle, so we did our best. Sorry we don't have more pics, but were not planning a b…

Car is a '94 Buick Roadmaster. Purchased it about 2 years ago. Spent the 1st summer deadening the car, and last summer I just didn't have much time to get things done. Goal is to have a stereo finally installed in it this year! Have a little road trip coming up on June 22nd, and I would really like to at least have it playing music before then. Between work, the gym and my kids' evening activities I don't have much free time so that is quite a challenge. Not starting from scratch here. But hoping a little log will keep me on track and responsible for getting shit done. To get things up to speed...the car is deadened front to rear with SDS sound deadening. I bel…

Were called "Southern Hertz". To get in our group wont be easy. But well worth it. Notice the shop I'm always working in LOL. This is just the start. :-) Well, I've always hated messy wiring, I know, I'm like the king of it. But it drives me crazy. So tonight. A friend and I decided to fix my issue. We started with this not to shabby. But could be better. Then went in order of these photos. Took everything out. Old amp rack. Batteries. All of it. Started work on amp rack/ battery box. Built it…
