This is the optimal design for the X Con 18. My BTL 18 is going to be going into it. I got the design from the site here, thanks SSA! I've still got a lot of sanding to do. I did all of this last weekend. I'll be finishing it up this weekend. I've still got a lot of wiring to do. I've got a 270 amp Mechman alternator to put in. I've got 50 foot of 1/0, which I'm hoping will be enough. I think I'm going to use my starting battery I've got, a Napa 70 series or something, I'll have to look at the specs and post if anyones interested. I've got a big Wal-Mart brand battery with dual terminals I'm going to put in the back. I'll probably eventually get some better batteries once…

Hi SSA guys. My friend and I just recently picked up a very cheap car and we are going to turn it into a Zombie Apocalypse Vehicle (ZAV). All of the modifications will be done by hand using readily available materials. This is purely for fun and everybody's enjoyment. First things first, every Zombie car needs a sound system!! So this is what we have done. Searched amazon for some of the cheapest 15" subs we could have shipped. We came upon the Absolute USA SN 2000 subs. $30 shipped each. And to make it even better, found a iPod docking deck for $27 shipped. After that we went and got some wood. 3/4 OSB had the best price. Used left over wire and fuses from previous bui…

Okay so obvs this is NOT car audio build log, and i couldn't decide if this belongs in the Off Topic or what so fuck it Most people don't know how it's done, a lot of people ask me.. but it's to complicated to explain in a small conversation. So.. what's better then a build log? This is mainly for my SSA brothers and sisters to kill some time This is going to be a Soccer Field in Scottsdale, AZ It's 14 thousand square feet. This was originally an Inline Hockey Rink, but in AZ Soccer is SO much more popular. Hey guys manzkea back at it again! Lol. Finally got some equipment in. Excited to finally get this project I’ve had in mind for a while rolling . Gonna attempt a blow through in my single cab 2001 ford ranger long bed. Gonna make pods for the doors to house the 6.5s and replace the stock one with a 6.5 or if possible an 8” driver. All powered off the ssa ic150.4. As for subs I’ll be using a 15” sp4 v2 I got from a friend for a deal. A taramps 5k will be used to push it. Unfortunately the evil mids I wanted was unavailable in 4ohms. So I went with these prvs. Well I’ll I’ll be updating this as I get it going. Possibly next week or so, really busy with wor…

I've had some equipment laying around for over 2 years, and my wife wants a little bit of bass. I figure I may as well make the most of what I have, which chances are will be more than she'll ever use anyway. Her car: Chevy Malibu Equipment: Alpine 9885 Alpine Type-X 12 D4 Hifonics 2006d Enclosure: ~1.5ft net tuned to 36hz with 24sqin of port. She wants a little bass, and plenty of room to put groceries. Also no wires or equipment hanging out like most drop in installs. This is really temporary until she gets a new car some time this year. The equipment: Of course I had to draw up some plans and it starts at the kitchen table: A MS Paint drawing of what I'm going for…

  23. Wow... It has been years since I've been on here. But I can say, this website taught me a lot when I got into the industry almost a decade ago. Now I'm in college and build/design boxes as a side job to make some money (pretty good money some months). Bought a TJ a little over a year ago, and finally decided it was time to do a semi-permanent system (something I could easily remove if I needed to). Didn't want to spend a whole lot of money, because well, this vehicle has plastic windows. Good luck was in my favor because over all the years of helping people out, they helped me out. I got the sub for free and the amp for $50. So anyway, onto the build. I wanted a box t…

I'm planning on a very loud daily with them and also bassracing in the 139.9 and playing around in 149.9 some. The best burp score I got out of the 12's was a 149.7 on the dash sealed and I'm hoping for a 151 to start on my new box.
