Round number two for the real deal. Started planning and collecting for this build a few months after I got the car, so basically a full year now. Don't really have an idea for goals yet, I hope its loud and I will get it metered in the spring. Here is the stereo portion of my bug build. I pulled this bug out of a field 2.5 years ago. It's a complete car build. The most of the interior was built around a nice system.. this is the car that I didn't have when I was in high school back early 90s..

So after a very long hiatus from this site, I wanted to post some updated pics of where Im at currently. Originally I started out with a couple pioneer shallow mounted subs, which were great. But always left me wondering what more I could get, so I found SSA and picked up a single 15" Xcon. I absolutely loved it. Except it was in a huge rear firing ported enclosure. Then I started having kids, and the need for my cargo space forced me back to a shallow mount option using two Sundown SD3 12"s. Again, this left me wondering "what more?". Starting my build log for my ford escape having an issue uploading my pictures here for it can some one recommend a good way to upload as they are larger than the max size allowed. Or will I have to take pictures of lower quality to get them to upload?

So after a long time of admiring and contemplating the ssa evil, I was pleastly surprised that they offer it in 12" now. Did a lot of question asking, researching and lucky for me the tax sale started , so I finally went ahead and purchased two and a pair of the evil Mids. Because of the build time it gives me time to stack up some money for an amp to push it. Ive tried searching for info on these but there's not that many info I was able to find on the 12s and on the mids. I used to frequent this site quite a bit as a young basshead, but adulthood changes things as most of you probably know. I still have passion and love for bass and I'm excited to finally be able to put a system back in my car as I'll be driving a lot for my new job. I know the basics of car audio to an extent, but still need some help with some elementary questions and decisions. The plan is to install my 12" SSA GCON powered by a Sundown SAZ-1000D that I ran in my Jeep a few years ago in my current car which is a 2014 Accord. There are two things I have never had since I got "serious" into car audio. A 10" sub, or a decent dual sub setup. So this is my build for two 10" xcons! Im super excited, they should be finished building and arriving soon, I hope. I am fitting the maximum dimensions of my trunk while still being able to fold up the stock floor and access the spare tire. Hey Guys, Some of you already know who I am, and for those who don't, here is a quick summary. Basically, I run Taramps, and I have been using Lithium batteries from the good people over at Juice Box Battery. I also use 6 15" SSA Evils subs in a 4thbp that's 50 cuft Gross. This 12DCV system topped off at 162db with poor electrical being at fault for not betting that score since achieving it. Well for 2016, I am changing things up a bit, at least for what seems like the rest of the season. I have shipped my LiFePo4 battery back to JB for repair, and since have acquired 18 XS Power D3400s. I've been inactive on here, and in my audio, for a while. Picked up something new(to me) and have some plans for this one. I still have the alt and batteries from my tahoe so that will help. I have a dual alt bracket for the singer to sit on so the stock alt can stay pcm controlled and handle the trucks electronics while the singer runs the batteries and amplifiers. 80PRS in the dash, ipad in the console. Hope to squeeze my PPI phantoms in the console again and run the Seas mids again, maybe swap for the ER variety. Unsure on tweeters at the moment. 2 Nendo 6.5s, gonna be bedlined, building these things fast got about 3 hours of work into them if that so far, just need more resin, lil mat and theyll be ready to be sprayed. trimmed up and resin pooled in, solid as fuck now, bout to do a few more coats of resin on the fronts, give em a light sand n shoot.. have pics later today or tomorrow. stay tuned

whats up guys. I've had a few build logs on this forum in the past and figured why not one more! This time around it is for my personal vehicle, a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport. Love this car. Goals for this build is foremost SQ, especially regarding a wide deep soundstage. Secondly to be able to hit +145db around 30hz. Gotta love dem lows! Concerning amplification, the limiting factor will be a single run of Sky High 1/0. This is over sized cable but will limit current draw to 300 amps max.
