This is a build log for a turbo diesel 04 VW Passat. Ronnie Stamps from Audio Shoppe is in charge of this build. I have finally decided to start on a new setup. 12" Sundown Nightshade Sundown 1500D on the way Rockford Punch 500x 6.5 Infinity Kappa Component set 6x9 Infinity Kappas 0 Gauge wiring 1 Kinetik 2400 on the way I have already dynamated the doors and the trunk lid. It started raining yesterday before I had a chance to take pics. My girl lost my camera somewhere, so I had to use my cell phone. It rained today too, so I decided to work on the box. Having Alpines since my first system, I wanted to try something new. I went with Hybrid Audio Technologies Clarus line opting with the 6 1/2" over the 5 1/4" after reading the review Car Audio Mag gave the 5 1/4". These drivers were a lot deeper then the type-r's I replaced them with. Here's the comparison in size. After adding another layer of deadener on top of my pre-existing Damplifier Pro I was ready to go. The install required the mid hole in the door to be cut a little larger to satisfy these beasts. Using the speaker ring as a template I made my marks and used a jigsaw to cut it. Using the template once again I made my baffles out of 3/4" mdf. I originally used …

Well I finished building the box, besides Lowes not very good job at cutting wood (the very end up the left side of the port is probably 1/2 inch short), I think it came out pretty nice considering it is my first box. It is 7.75 cufeet tuned to 30 hz. Then reconed the zcons to 18s and walled them in a van. Well the van rear end boke in half on the way to slamoligy this year so now going to wall the sable . Alright. This is for a friends truck. She had a completely blown stock system. She was very specific in what she wanted, and I went about putting it together for her. So this will be my second build log on this forum. I don't think I took as many pictures this time either. But here we go, here is what was originally in the car. Had this Fi BL for over 4 years now, I say its a 2008 model but I am not really for sure. Surround is messed up but the main thing, the coil is still clean. Box was given to me, tuning was ~40hz (eww) with sub installed. Had running on the RF-T1500bdCP I bought until I put in the truck, had it slamming though. ^^^^^^Yes I love 5-minute amp racks!!!! Ok it will be going in a white mustang convertable.. 2 cubes 34hrz... a little high had to keep box size to a minimum. 31sqin (ifrc) of port and two Dcon 10s... i am starting the box today an i previously wired the car up with 4guage for now... not sure what amp will go in it yet because its a customers car.. time will tell but here we go woot woot pics will be up later

My wife wrecked my town car. There's $5k in damage, almost enough to total it. So I took the check, and it's for sale for 3k on craigslist as a driver. I replaced it with something more fun. 06 Pontiac GTO I found on eBay. Here's a pic I took an hour north of Fresno, CA on the 13 hour drive back to Portland, OR. It's a one owner with 27k. It is 1 15" Audioque hdc3 aluminum coil on a Sundown saz 3k at 2 ohm, (might talk him into half an ohm at comps lol). Hello, thanks for checking out my build. I decided to stick a system in my Honda after years of not having anything but stock audio. I just don't have a lot of funds for high end equipment, so pretty much everything is budget equipment. Figured I should start a build log since I've gone through so much trial and error in getting this stereo to sound good. I'm already done with most things but I did take pictures along the way so i'll get that all uploaded when i get photobucket or imgur figured out. I bought my passat almost a year ago, the weekend after black Friday to be exact, and knew immediately that it needed some love in the bass department. I had a rockford p-300-12 powered enclosure lying around that i once had mounted in a big self-propelled sprayer that i basically lived in for 3 summers, threw that in along with a rockford loc, rockford rca's, and some ebay 4ga cca to get it powered. …
