  1. I just finished up with my install: 2) 12" D2 GCONS in a DC-Creations Sealed Enclosure, all installed in a 2012 Volkswagen GLI running from the factory fender audio system to a LC2i LOC and Kicker ZX1000.1 Amp w/ KnuKonceptz Kolossus Flex 0 ga kit. GCONS: Visually: I placed my order and received the speakers about 25-30 days later, just like the guys @ SSA said. Between the heavy foam surround, to the huge magnet, to the frame, they look SICK. Looks wise, I can't complain, the build quality seems to be great; real heavy duty shit here. When I bought my kicker amp from the car audio shop around the block, the guy I dealt with asked what I was running for subs. So I show…

It is 1 15" Audioque hdc3 aluminum coil on a Sundown saz 3k at 2 ohm, (might talk him into half an ohm at comps lol). As of now he does not have a front stage to brag about, but I'm going to get him hooked up one way or another. He has a pioneer headunit, don't remember what model. Will have big 3 done and a xs power d3400 in the back. (going to also upgrading stock battery, which luckily is already located in the back. And alredy has couple coats of dampner. Box is 4.1 cubes @ 36hz Ok on with the pics. Still have to throw 2 more coats of clear and carpet it, then bui…

I bought way too much: The SSA Icon 12"!: Tools used to remove panels to add the sound damplifier (the mallet was to break a pin holding the airbag panel on the c-pillar): The sound damplifier added on. It was a pain in the ass because of all of the holes for the rear deck clips and stuff. I had to cut small pieces and put them all over and started to get lazy with it and missed some spots because of it. I was so worn out from spending so m…

Did this for a friend he wanted 1 - 8" mid 1 - 10" mid and 2 - tweeters in his door, so i cut out a mdf base to match the door panel, trimmed to fit. So here's the mockup so far, it all fits snug, we're using all crescendo components the selenium is for mockup. Using regular fleece and two coats of resin no fiberglass Fleece stretched and stapled Two coats of resin Fitted to the door Finished product nice and snug Not as smooth as i could get it but my friend didn't care otherwise i would have bondoed it, i think later down the road it will get vinyl not sure though

  13. Hello everyone I would like to start by saying I have no intention of breaking or bending any site or community rules here so pls forgive me if I do that is not my intention. I am here to share my personal experience with cherrymancustoms who has built me an extremely personalized and truly custom enclosure to meet the needs of my particular listening goals. This man has spent literally countless hours over-the-phone speaking with me one on one in an attempt to maximize my enclosure design and has built what I consider to be a very good quality box. I have attached images for your own viewing and judgement below. His website is www.cherrymancustoms.com/ where he ha…

  14. When I started planning on this project 2 years ago, in the planning stages, I wanted 60+ and to bassrace 59.9, but since then I have taken it down a notch, wanting to build something that plays low ( Fla style), Loud and moves an absolute insane amount of air. What I started with Subs 8 DC Level 5 M1 Motors, with David from PSi working his magic on the rest. 8 18" recones 3 spider setup Amps - 4 SK2500.1s from Skar audio. The setup got down pretty good with these, but I needed more power, and less problems a single 300A Tenney that has yet to fail me A 4th order bandpass All Wiring and accessories were acquired from Audio Technix. over 100ft of OFC 1…

Cut the hole for the speaker. i wanted it as small as possible so it barely cleared the magnet.... i ended up having to make a slot for the wires thou I didn't get any pictures of the speaker ring but it had a roundover instead of being flat and had a kurff cut so it would bend with the dash. Nothing major just a slight bend BUT it made a huge difference in the end result. These pics are in mid sanding thou, the ring was fiberglassed to the dash popped off and i snapped some pics after the first stage of sanding After looking at it on the dash half way ready i realized the orange wasn't going to work... So i painted the speaker while the final sanding and stuff was bei…

This is my first sub box. I've done some other carpentry stuff before but have always been too scared to try and build a sub box in fear it would sound like chit and be a total waste of effort. It's 2 cubes tuned at 41hz. I'm trying to get more spl out of my sub on 500 watts to give me an edge in the basic 1 class in my local circuit. I hit 135.5db on my current setup but that may not get er done. I could have finished much sooner if I had more clamps. I'll glue the top down tonight after I find my tie down straps and do the pseudo-in law family Easter gig. I almost forgot to add the part about my girlfriend's wisdom teeth being taken out Friday. Puffy puffy cheeks.

Here goes to the start of deadening my 02 Z71. Lots of deadening going in. 155 Sq ft. Raammat 5 or 6 Yards Ensolite 5 gallons and 1 quart of Spectrum GM's way of trying to stop you from removing the rear bolts on the front seats an 11mm 12 point did the trick. Also the front nuts on the front seat are removable with 15mm 12 point. Carpet is not so clean lol When I saw this clip for the first time I thought "I'll come at you like a spider monkey!" The rear light needs to be removed before dropping the headliner to disconnect the light More pics to come

real simple build that is semi-temporary. xmas im geting another amp so ill just have to cut a new piece of mdf and mount it up there. sorry for the crappy pics... used the camera on the phone and i worked on it at night. first i mounted a piece of mdf with bolts to the metal. next i got another piece of mdf to bring the amp rack out so it clears the rest of the rear deck. here is the mdf rack mounted on there. showing the clearance with the sub box in. AA arsenal ftw pic of the sub box. (the amp rack hasn't been added yet but u wouldn't be able to see it anyways. finishing it tomorrow night.
