  3. I realized I hadn't posted this on SSA so here it is. My car is a 1996 Chevy Lumina LS and is my daily driver. Everything is pretty much stock except for a few things- Excessive Amperage 200A alt Big 3 0g Optima yellowtop in front Northstar NSB 90 0g front to back As of a couple days ago I had a budget stereo. RF power 5 1/4 and 6x9 coaxials in the stock locations. A visonik 240xt to power them. I have 2 but only run 1 10" RF power HX2 sub in a 1.75 @33hz off of a DUB8001 amp. My HU is a premier p490ib with my 2G nano connected to it. But right now, I replaced the DUB amp with an RF T10001bd and gave my 6x9's away. Nothing looks really nice because its still temporary.. a…

  5. Hey guys... I have a build log over at CA.com as well but I'm really getting tired of the childish behavior of the mods around there (I got banned for "joining in '08" along with a bunch of other people) so I decided to come over here to SSA and show you guys what I've been up to the past couple months. At the time of this writing, my setup consists of the following: 2 15" Fi Q's (DVC 1ohm, wired to total load of 1 ohm) AQ2200D amp 7cuft ported box tuned @ 32Hz - designed by Chris at Fisher Customs, built by me Infinity 475a Reference amp running highs (soon-to-be IDCTX65CS comps, I just need to build the door pods for them. Running some Kenwoods up front for now) All Knu…

  13. So I finally decided to start a build log on here.I had sort of one in the photography thread awhile back. Im in the process of building a wall for 6 of the Fi Team Series 15's on 3 DC 9k's and a ton of other extras. This will be my third build and I have done everything on my own except the doors and VU-Din/Volt meter setup which I had my Italian shop in Italy do. So here are some pics of the old setup and some pics of the new build coming here shortly. Pics arent in any specific order but best score with the 4th order and 2 18" N2's was a 152.9 sealed. Never did the door open in the kick as i prefer sealed up numbers. It could also play music at a 51 for 1 min which the …

whats up guys. I've had a few build logs on this forum in the past and figured why not one more! This time around it is for my personal vehicle, a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport. Love this car. Goals for this build is foremost SQ, especially regarding a wide deep soundstage. Secondly to be able to hit +145db around 30hz. Gotta love dem lows! Concerning amplification, the limiting factor will be a single run of Sky High 1/0. This is over sized cable but will limit current draw to 300 amps max. I want a somewhat usable trunk and will be utilizing the spare tire well for the subwoofer enclosure. Front stage limitations include using stock door panels, stock a-pillars an…

Hello, thanks for checking out my build. I decided to stick a system in my Honda after years of not having anything but stock audio. I just don't have a lot of funds for high end equipment, so pretty much everything is budget equipment. I don't really have any goal other than to eventually hit 150db for as cheap as possible, we shall see how that turns out. For now I am just enjoying having some tunes again. As of right now I've got the following gear installed. (You can click the links for more pictures) Head Unit – Alpine CDA9805 Front Door Speakers –6.5″ MB Quart Components FSB216 Rear Door Speakers – 6.5” Phoenix Gold Coaxial Amplifier – MB Quart 1.400 on the Subs – …

  23. Okay, we were finally able to get the vehicle that will be replacing the van as our daily driver. I found a nice 2010 Traverse AWD with everything the wife wanted in it and a little more with decent miles on it and I even got a decent deal on it. Now, the wife realized before we even got serious about shopping for one that we should probably tone down the size of the install in the new vehicle. While she was/is still wanting some good sounding speakers and some bump going to the the size and extent of the build in the van was more than we need for this one. One of the biggest reasons for that was simply because of the damage the Q's caused the van. Before I installed…

There have been many on this forum, too many to list, that have given suggestions on equipment and others that pushed me in the right direction in my mid bass thread. Thanks to all of you!!
