just a fast question guys i have an 18" btl fully loaded, i have it running off a saz-2000D. i have my sub wired down to 1 ohm. my question is, should i have my sub wired to the amp bridged or not? right now i dont have it bridged and it slaps hard. but i just saw a vid with the same setup pretty much and his was bridged on the amp thanks an advance fellaz

My Kenwood KDC-MP342U won't save settings after i turn the head unit off. I did the install, had to hardwire with the wires, the factory harness was cut out from the previous owner, i used butt connectors. Truck in sig. Here is a video -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fRHgeJgcko

Ok guys I recently put in an 18" fi bl with a Sundown Sae-1200dv2 into a 2009 ford escape. The box is around 7 cubes tuned to 32 hertz. Amp is being ran at 1 ohm. All power and ground wire is being ran in 1/0 Knu. Under the hood i have only upgraded my battery negative to chassis ground power wire to 1/0 ga. Everything is properly installed wiring wise, I'm having a problem with the amp going into protection mode when playing music higher volumes. The bass boost is all the way down on the amp and the gain is set to 1/2 and everything else was set by a buddy of mine more experienced with car audio. Alright this is probably a dumb question but im really new to car audio and want to make sure i dont mess anything up, especially when im working with so much expensive equipment. I have a sundown SAX-50.4 that i plan to power my Morel tempo6 2-way component speakers. I'm wondering what the best way to wire to my crossovers would be. Im confused because i have the 4 channels but only 2 crossovers, so would i bridge them? and how would i do that correctly so i keep the left and right signals? sorry if this doesnt make sense, im sick and on alot of medication

I have seen people talk about their products time to time, mostly the super tweeters, but does anyone have experience with the amps? The website says two year transferable warranty and the amps look similar to sundown, atomic, and a few other brands I have seen. I might look into purchasing two of those 3KWDs considering they are 550 a piece.

Should i use a Kinetik 600 Power Cell in my install for my front stage? -- Will it help with my voltage? OR! Will it strain my Alt? I know its only 400wrms.. but i have the Power Cell already. (2) Alpine Type R 6.5 component sets (1) Alpine PDX 4.100 KnuKoncpetz 4 gauge amp kit Yellow top as starter batt. 1/3 Big 3 done. (Batt to frame) Stock Alt -- 80-100 amp (not too sure)

Any one able to confirm the dimensions of the saz-3500. I know the sundown site says 660x250x54 but I heard someone say it's bigger than that. Cheers Karl

I have an Alpine CDA-9886. The way have mine set is I have the sub out on 15 and the gain on my amp set at a moderate level. I notice a when play it at 20 it'll be hitting good, but when I turn it up past 20, that bass stays at the same level and doesn't get louder. My friend said it's my deck and he has had simular problems with Alpine's and has me interested in a nice Pioneer deck if my deck is the problem. I'd like a 2nd opinion from you guys.

You may be wondering why I made this thread but us people need to know... Considering the hifonics brutus BRZ1200.1 is CEA appliant. Which one would be a better choice comparing to the sundown SAZ-1000.1D?? From what i know the BRZ-1200.1D is rated 900RMS at 2 ohm and 1200 at 1ohm and the sundown SAZ-1000.1D is rated 600@ 2ohm and 1000@1ohm. They both fall at the same price of 280$ shipped. At one point in time there was a link to a calculator someone had made to just plug in your rms and impedance and get what the voltage ac you should see when setting the gain on your amp. anybody know where that is i wanna bookmark it to my computer. and yes i have already read the sticky on how to set gain. im just trying to get this as a bookmark. thanks

I'm about to grab up a normal ANL fuse holder from Knu when I notice they have this "high current" fuse holder that uses multiple mini ANL fuses instead of one big honker like the normal one, (not the mini). They say it will have "lower voltage drop across the fused surface area" as well as handling higher currents. Is there any validity to this statement? Has anyone had any experiece with one of these to know if it really has any great affect on voltage drop? I'm just curious...

Hi Guys, Any recommended Head Unit for SPL application, I'm currently using Alpine 9887 and the buttons fades easily. So I'm leaning towards pioneer for my next H.U. I know DEX-P99RS is the best bet but I can't afford it right now. Any suggestion? My budget is $600. Thanks

Currently I've got a P3002 and two Memphis twelves and a Memphis 15. I'm planning on upgrading my wiring to 1/0, and thinking I'll probably need an upgraded alternator. Someone in another thread said something about needing extra batteries for a T1500, I was thinking I'd be okay with the alternator. Opinions? By the way, I'm planning on ordering a BTL 18 next. I'm also looking for ideas on box design. Its going in an Explorer, so I've got plenty of room. I want the sub facing the roof and the port facing the front. Planning on making a amp rack out of some plexi too, I'll have to post some pics.

has anyone tried or heard if the soundstream tarantulas are close to tru power or are they crap?

So after hooking things up i found that i was short of speaker cable by five feet. I ran down to Mickey Shorr to see what they had. They gave me about 12 feet of 8 gauge power wire for five bucks. so it's a pretty simple question actually, Is there any difference in speaker cable and power wire? can i use power wire as speaker wire? thanks.

okay so i know this might be a noob question but hey im a noob lol. so i want to run 2 runs of 0 guage power to my amp, but they amp only has one input so can i take a normal distribution block and put the two power wires from the battery up front into the the usual out spots and put one run from the amplifier to the input of the block? i will also run 2 runs of ground if i can, i just want to make sure i get as much power to my amp as i can even know i know its over kill. hopefully i can upload this right but here is a picture to help explain what i mean.

ok so i have a bazooka 500wrms mono im running until i get my saz-1500 fixed.... its running a fosgate power hx2 at 1ohm. its a damn good amp for the brand. i dont know much about it but lately since i got a h/u instead of my mp3 player it goes into protect when the bass hits real low note like on bass i love you for example the real low note when u get major excurssion it goes into protect. is it cause its not 1 ohm stable? gain is about 2/3 up frequency is all the way down bass boost is about 1/4 up sub level on pioneer 680mp is at about -10 thanx in advance

Ok so I was on my way home from work and my sub stopped hitting so I pulled over immediately got out and looked to see what was wrong. My amp was in protection so I made sure my headunit was completely off and turn my car off and back on again. I went back and checked and the amp wasnt it protection but there was no power light either. I popped the hood and looked at the fuse for my power wire and it was blown. So I changed out that one with a spare one i had. As soon as I turned the car again the inline fuse blew again. Can someone help me? What is making it do this? My gain was set with DMM and I have been driving it for two weeks with no issues. Any help would be aweso…

I have a Hifonics Brutus 1200 watt mono and a 15" FI BL sub. Any advise on how to get the loudest but still the best quality out of it? it's Level 9v - 0.2v , Phase 0 - 180 , Bass EQ (keeping it down) , Sub Sonic 15 - 35 Hz , Low Pass 35 - 250 Hz.

after buying these batteries i found out that they are 34M's and are "starting only". now does this matter? the MCA is 1000, CCA 800, AH 50, RC 100. Did i get ripped? (only paid 100 each) or are they good?
