hey guyz..... got a question. i had planned on running 4 awg from the battery terminal down to the fuse and then on the other end of the fuse continue with 4 awg and then put a distribution block. then run 4 awg to the other amps from the block. is this ok? or no? running 4 amps, all the same gauge wire

hi, i currently have an alpine pdx 4 100 and today i was messing around with my crossover because i was using my head unit as it and my battery died this morning so i lost everything when i replaced with and ever since i messed with the crossovers it has been going into prottection mode after about 10 mins at full volume ( by full volume i mean 45 out of 62 becuase that is where i set my gains to.) now last time it did this it was hot outside ( 97o) and today it is 92 but the feel like temp is 97 so could that be the problem. i have it mounted on my backseat with them folded up.

im gonna mix the Rainbow SLC mids with the CS tweets. now my questions is, which crossover do i use? the soundline or the countour?

Has anybody had this head unit? I can't seem to find out how to set the bass, treble, mids, ect. It has presets but that's it.. Can anyone help me out?

i just installed my rf t8004 and rf t40001bd. For some reason the t40001bd is getting hot even when i have the sub off. I am getting engine noise in both my speakers and subs. Today I disconnected my pos terminal and then while I was driving my mids and highs went crazy on me. Out of no where they started cutting out and started crackling like they were blown and my right mid was blasting a low frequency like a sub even when i turned the music to 0. Now the right mid will only work on and off and now the left mid is doing the same thing. They are barely putting out any sound even at high volumes. what would be a good amp kit for a 12" btl with the saz-2000d

Okay I just upgraded my 4 Guage to 0 gauge , me and my buddy both wired our cars, his car for some reason wouldn't start. He thought it was his battery, anyways my car worked fine, about 12 hrs later I go to start my car and it will not start, its not my battery, I checked it and its at about 12.5 volts, I unhooked the main source and still nothing, any ideas of what it could possibly be??? Sensors, relays, fuses etc.

Replaced my RCA's today and now I have a terrible alt whine. Never had this happen before so Ive been trying to do some research and what the problems could be. Here's what Ive tried so far. I've disconnected the RCA's and the whine goes away. Plugged a factory wire back up with factory speaker and no whine Disconnected the 4 channel amp from the ground block and grounded it independently at another point. Since theres no whine with the factory speaker am I correct in assuming its nothing behind the head unit i.e. radio antenna, HU ground Any other suggestions? I'm looking into getting a new head unit, and I was wanting some suggestions.. I'm looking for something simple, but quality. I need ability to play MP3 CD's, Have an AUX input, and a USB port that will work with iPod or iPhone (not a major need though). I have an XO vision something or other 3" screen DVD player type head unit that I got from wal mart online for like 100$, and I'm just not impressed with the quality or controls. In order to do anything on the HU you have to use the remote control, which is extremely annoying. The built in EQ is pitiful too. Hi everybody, I'm getting rid of my rear speakers : I can't hear them with my 15" Icon playing! I will only keep my Focal 165 KP front speakers, but I don't want to go active. What should I do? Keep my current 4 channels amp and bridge it to the Focal? (This amp puts out 2*225 watts rms) Or sell it and buy a 2 ch amp (to save some power , and maybe some space and weight) I was looking at the Sundown amps : 125*2 or the 100*2. What do you think? What would you do?

Ive been looking at DC alts for my truck and they go from 2005-2009. The 2010 is the same gen and engine as the 2005-2009 im guessing they just left it off the list by accident just wondering if anyone knows for sure if it would work or wouldnt for some reason. thanks in advance.

2volt headunit vs 4volt headunit which is better? what are the benefits of a high voltage sub output? I currently have a 2v alpine that i'm thinking of replacing I'm thinking with my current setup that I can use a little more power but idk If i get a 4v, will i have 2 retune my amps? Will I end up just turning my amps down with a 4v, and have the same results as b4? Would it be better to put that money towards a big amp? (money is rare)

sometime in the future i will be putting one hell of a ocmputer in my truck for MP3 sotrage only. there are 2 ins. Min and Line Level (same voltages as RCA) in. From what ive been hearing sometimes the impeadance of the line in is too low for most RCA ins. this causes a lot of distortion with the singal. However for my RCA's for hte moment i will probably end up getting one of thoes peaker level to line level converters untill Xmas when i can get a good 2din HU...lol i am so cheap. so my question is, because my head unit i used to seeing a 4ohm impeadance and the line level in is of s much higher impeadance will i have to worry about any distortion at all? im setting my…

I have a 2008 trailblazer with stock electrical. I have the t400-4 and a t1000-1bd. Will I be alright with the big 3 and a new battery, like an optima redtop (yellow top wont go in my car) or do you guys know of any better batteries for about the same price (under $200)? Also, where can i get 0 gauge battery cables for the big 3?

I am getting two 600w rms 4ohm subs and I am getting a mono amp. I was wondering If I wired both subs together into the amp, How would the power be split to goto each sub. Also Would it drop the impedance to 2ohms. So if it did that would I have to get DVC subs? So, for two 600w rms subs single or dual voice coil subs, what would be a good mono amplifier to use to push them to the full 600 watts. Thanks ~Thomas
