Is there a way to find out how much room is left in the alternator output after running the vehicle? I am just wondering if this would be a way to see or prevent power drops and messing up the car/truck electronics.

Just got a N1 for free.... Pulled it from a car being scrapped. The owner accidentally chopped the cable to the hidden unit when pulling it out. I looked on ebay but dont feel like waiting anyone know where i can grab one of these in ontario? Ive called around but all the shops are closed and whatnot Blech!!

First of all I used the forums' search feature and I did not find any topics under "impedance rise". I currently am powering my XCON with a Crescendo 3kwp. I set the amplifier gain and ssf with my dvm. My XCON is wired for 1 ohm. With a little math my wrms output of my 3kwp should be around 1750 using -3db test tones ranging from 32-60hz. So here is my thoughts on impedence rise. I used a dvm and test tones to set my amplifier gain. This does not take into account any impedance rise between the narrow band of frequencies that my XCON plays. what can a dual 1 ohm 18''btl fully loaded handel. can it handle a 1ohm stable amp ,0.5 ohm stable amp? i know it works with a 2ohm stable im confused . in other words how can i wire my dual 1 ohm subs to run at 1ohm or lower. and is it safe?

I have a Hifonics Brutis 1208d amp and i lost one of my set screws for the power and ground terminals, does anyone know where i can get a new one? I've tried hardware store and all i can find are set screw that look perfect but I can't find the right size. Its metric and 6mm is too small and 8 is too big, and i can't find a 7.

I have 2 kicker l7 15 inch subwoofers in a dodge charger,the amp i had was a kole audio 2400 watt amp it cost 150 dollars brand new..well the amp took a dump and i was lokking into the audioque 2200 for my subs there the o6 model kicker at 1000 rms..i wanted to know if anyone has heard or has one of these amps?and would it push my subs pretty hard?sorry for my spelling lol i got the big 3 and gonna be getting a kinetic batt soon.

My SAZ-3000 arrived today and I have two powermaster batteries on the way (D5100R, D3100.) I'm looking for ways to run 2 connections of 1/0 in addition to the factory cable to my D5100R and two 1/0 per terminal for the D3100. I'm trying not to buy 4 expensive Stinger type battery terminals. Can someone please show me some options of how to do this in a way that functions and looks nice but won't cost $80 to $100. Pictures of your setup would be nice. Thanks

metal sleeve will probably work from lots of pioneers but im not sure, and have no idea about cross compatability with the trim ring, but its probably the same throughout the line. just opened the box with my deck inside it and it didnt have these items. and before I bid I asked this motherpucker if they were included, and he replied and said yes they were. BUT obviously they werent. I emailed him to see if he just forgot to ship them, but who the hell knows, and just in case I can get my hands on the parts cheap, Id like to keep the deck, if not and he doesnt have them I guess its time for another paypal dispute.....

i have stock electrical, just one 4 gauge run to my alpine pdx 1.600 amp (600rms, 730 peak), but my gauges/instruments dim down to about 50% and my headlights dim terribly. will the big three in 1/0 or 2 gauge solve this problem? i have a 2003 vw passat, im pretty sure my alt does 90 amps..

Hey guys I'm kind of new to building and wiring (I've done a couple of installs but I still like to learn). My question is what type of electrical system I should go with. I'm aiming to have TWO Sundown SAZ-1500D's and TWO RE-SX 12's. My question is what type of battery setup I should need to upgrade to. I've been looking at running an Optima Yellow Top D75/25 battery up front and an Optima Yellow Top D34/78 in the back. I don't have much info on some of the other brands to run like XS Power, BatCap, or Kinetik. Any info is much appreciated. Well, it is finally time for me to get a new head unit for the Bronco. I really like the Alpine cda-7893 that is in it now but it's from 2002 and is cd only. The Alpine skips like crazy now when I try to get some decent bass going in there and I need to begin testing for next season so I'm going to purchase a new unit with usb. I got this HU recently from soneone. The Radio creates music through my RCA's but when I try and play a cd it read the cd and says its playign the cd but viola no signal......And if there is signal its not audable........can someone help here??? J

This is my first build so I only know what I have researched, I will be buying a Fi BL 12 subwoofer to put in my Ford Ranger XLT. I am not sure what amp to buy and please no used ones.

I have never wired miltiple amps to one sub, so please bear with me. I have four JL Slash 1000/1v2's and two DP 21" 2 ohm dvc's. My question is; how do I wire two amps to each sub? Someone suggested that I wire each amp to each voice coil. As in wire one amp to one of the terminals on one sub, and another amp to the other on the same sub. Is this correct?

I will be getting a sundown Sa-8 here when they ship out. I need a amp i was looking at the Rockford prime r500 ,but i dont know if its going to hit them low lows. the box will be 1.2 cuft tuned to 35hz aero port. DOES ANYONE know of a good amp for it UNDER 175 dollars?

Looking into getting a new head unit and want to get a digital reciever. Does anybody already have one and how do you like it? I havent bought a CD in i dont kow when and listen to my Ipod more than the radio, so losing the CD playback wont be a problem to give up. They all have the same basic features that i am looking for with the main difference being with the Sony's Ipod tray. I've had this head unit for nearly three years now and it still works great. I am now looking into putting together a 2-way active setup in a regular cab ford ranger and was wondering if this will be able to run active. I'm new to active setups and I am not sure what to look for in a headunit and would like to keep my 9830 if possible because I am low on cash. I have read all over and i cannot find anything on how to tune a vocal amp. I'm buying a Sundown 125.2 from a friend of mine and hooking it up to my stock door speakers. i eventually will upgrade but for now i think my stock speakers will sound cleaner then off my h/u. and another question what ohm are stock speakers usually? or do i need to find that in my manual?

curious if there were any internal upgrades and improvements to the KX line when the exterior changed

Hey guys, Just wondering if you could give me some insight on this. When I start to play a new song the front speakers start playing about half a second before the rear ones... The front ones are on an amp, the rear ones are going into the HU... any idea on this?
