I recently did a install using a audiopipe ap3001d (older 16volt discontinued model) on two 15" kicker l7's in a seald enclosure 1.5cuft. each. The amp was shocking strong. But on to my question , has anyone dealt with the audiopipe apsm 1500 mono block? And if so do you think it would be to much for my two first gen. Dcon 12's in 1.2cuft sealed inclosures? And ps. can a box from sketch up be uploaded on the site? If so how? Thanks for all help.

I'm wondering what most people use for a good quality front stage. The amp I'm currently using is a TMA T320.4 (JL company). It does the following: 60W x 4 @ 4 ohm 80W x 4 @ 2 ohm 160W x 2 @ 4ohm (bridged) Speakers used in conjunction with: 6.5" CDT Audio ES-620, rated for 150W @ 4ohm I just picked up a SAZ-1000D and a 12" Fi Q and these will be running together. This leaves the TMA to run my front stage solely. I'm worried about bridging the amp because its a pretty cheap amp, and I figure it'll be toast within a year or so if I bridge (if that). Also, the power isn't terribly clean as its a cheap brand amp, though the quality is good (I'm running 60W x 4 out of jus…

Where is a good place to get anl fuses cheap. Been looking around on the web, I usually get them from a flea market pretty cheap, but the shop isn't there anymore.

I recently bought some 35w 8000K hids from DDM Tuning. I installed them and now every time I turn my lows on manually, my HU (Kenwood KDC-MP345U) just stops playing music, forcing me to turn my HU off and then back on. The HU stays on but seems to just be frozen. If anyone knows how to fix this please help. Thanks in advance.

So... ill be needing 2 amp wiring kits. One for my sundown 50.4 (either 4 or 8 gauge. Idk what it takes.) that im geting. And one for my sundown 2500.1 (0ga) later on this year. Now my question is... for the wiring kits, is there any major pros to buying brands such as stinger? I just figure that copper is copper. Not sure tho. I just don't wanna spend the rediculous price that they cost. I was just gonna search for cheaply priced amp kits. So...hdoes brand mahtter that much? Pros and cons? Sorry in advance for any spelling errors I have made. Im on my droid. Haha. And this is my first install of any kind, just so ya kno. Thanks. -Jonathan

I never got around to finishing the system in the last truck but this one will be different, dammit. Anyway... New truck is an F-150 Supercrew. The H/U is already installed, Kenwood DNX-8120. It has some limited processing capability but I doubt that I'll use much of it. I have an Altomobile Drive 30 for processing the front stage, I'll replace it with a MS-8 if I decide that it isn't getting the job done from a noise perspective. Front is going to be 3-way active, HAT Legatia 3s and 1s in the kicks and some midbasses in the doors. I have a pair of CDT ES-06+ woofer that may go there or I might order a pair of Dayton 6s for each door. The rear will have a decent pa…

So sonic electronix has a JVC KW-NX7000 open box for $549 with free shipping My link Its got most of the stuff I want(minus bluetooth) My orginal plan was to get the KEnwood Dnx-6140. Its $779 after shipping. I like the screen on the jvc better, but I'm fond of the kenwoods. I know how the bypass works on the kenwood, but not sure how to do it on the jvc, I love the way kewoods work with ipod and have no idea how the jvc works(do you have to have special cable or can you use the apple one?) I have $605 in savings and could order the JVC today if I wanted. If I wait, it will take me about a month to get the extra $180 or so for the KEnwood. Thanx in advance. And again, ti…

Yet again, i have a question. I am wanting to add more mids and highs to my setup, do i need a 2 or 4 channel amp to push em? Ive never done it before, never seen a reason honestly, but now i do. Also, 5 or so years ago i did a brake job for someone and they paid me with an amp. it works, but idk if it will work for mids and highs or not. any help would be appreciated. Going to start a new thread for this, but it kind of piggyback's off my previous battery thread. Got my stereo up and running but was noticing some dimming of the lights both internally and externally. Initially was thinking of just upgrading the battery. I took out my DMM and at the battery it was showing 14.0 and right about 14.0 at the amp (might have been 13.9). So all seemed fine, but then I started to turn it up a bit and was noticing on heavy bass hits it was going down to as low as 12.2v. The gain on the amp is a little under 75% and the HU volume at the time was right around 75%. I'm wanting to turn the gain up more on the amp since it sounds like the sub is s…

the current radio is a cassette deck, and the cassette deck doesnt even work. im stuck with listening to the same crap over and over and over again. the reception also sucks balls, and i think that's why my right speakers sound like they are distorting. I heard the exact same stock system speakers i have in a buddies car and it sounded GOOD. im gonna try to reproduce what i heard if i can't ill go all out active aftermarket. these stock speakers have mucho potential. you might ask why i got the 9887 if i aint going active. I dont like the look of the 9886 and i like to keep my options open. once my crutchfield order comes in on the 5th with the ipod cable and din r…

Hey People....I will soon be the proud owner of the SAZ 1500D!! I am wanting to get your advice on how to properly power the amp. I currently have a car with the stock 105 amp alternator. I've done the BIG 3 with 4 gauge wire. I also have 4 gauge running to my trunk.....It then goes into a capicator and then to a distro block where I have it going to a 2 channel 300 Watt Denon amp and also what will now be the SAZ 1500D.....I'm pretty sure that I will be starving the amp for power....SO...My question is mainly budget related. How can I give the SAZ enough power the cheapest way??? Can I run another 8 guage power wire and just use it for my 2 channel and leave the 4 g…
