Complete System: 1 15" Sundown Audio Nightshade Dual 1 ohm. .wired at 1 ohm. 1 Sundown Audio SAZ-1500 Box specs: cant release havent built. Kenwood headunit, stock speakers for now. Big 3 upgrade with Kicker 1/0 Kicker 1/0 wiring on everything(amp, battery) Stock alternator (130amps) Now picking a battery.. what would be the best budget minded battery for this system? Now, im looking at a XS Power D3100, but is that too much? Is a XS Power D5100 good enough? the D5100 has max amps: 1,600A and the D3100 has max amps: 3,200A My system only has 1500rms so is the D5100 good because its max amps are 1,600A? I really dont know anything about batteries so dont go picking on me …

can anyone tell me how to wire up 3 batteries ?? i plan on running 3 batteries for my 2 18s, just wondering how to wire them up to my dc power alt.... i plan to use one batt for my cars electrical and then one battery for each amp ( 2 amps altogether) if someone can tell me how to wire these up i would be thankful.. thanks

Good Afternoon everybody, Ive read threads saying "If you don't have a great sub box you're subs aren't working to their finest." So with that I need a custom box for my 2002 Avalanche rated to spec for (2) 15' V2 Nightshades *when they're available*. What the best Tuning Frequency should it be set at? Should it be Ported/Vented,4th order bandpassed, or T-lined? I still want to use the back every once and a while to carry shit so should the part of the box extended into the bed be sprayed with bedliner or fiberglassed to keep the elements out of the box. k i picked up a set of Jl w3v2 d4 subs in a sub zero ported box with an mtx 81000d for 250 bucks after doing some research i see these amps sometimes had alot of issues i have a brand new power acoustik ovn1-2000 d in box / i no most are going to say junk but i have had good luck in the past with their amps my car is an 04 cavalier stock electrical would it be better to run the new amp or old amp ? would the newer amp be more efficient ?

I have 2 large 100aH AGM batteries in the rear and a factory sized AGM under the hood. A cpl weeks ago I went to start the van and it was dead. I got it started and voltage was terribly low. I only ran it for a few minutes then let it sit, restarted a few times for a few minutes...I dont have a charger. After a couple days everything seemed back to normal. I watch the factory gauge a lot closer and am surprised at how much voltage can change day to day while running, independant of hot days to cold days. Some times it runs around 13.5V other times 14.2V, even in the same day, sometimes 14.2V when its warmer and been driving and sometimes 13.5V when its colder and/or less …

I have an fi q 12 in a ported enclosure tuned to 32 Hz. Where on the dial is 28-29 Hz so I can set it properly. Also where should I put the lpf? Thanks a lot for the help

okay well today, im mounting my fuse holders ect... and my question is when do i actully put my fuses in??? like do i start my car then place my 300 amp fuses (4) for my batterys(1 d3400 under the hood,2 d3100 in the trunk) and 200 amp fuses(2) for my aq3500d1 on my amp? or before i start my car i place my fuses in??? idk if that makes sense please answer anyone

i plan on purchasing my HU and ICONS in the next 3-4 weeks. I still havent been able to find an Amp on my budget that will power my subs. I am trying to give them the 300w they are rated at. Say I have an amp that has 2 power and ground inputs. Say if I just use one with twice the size power wire is that ok? Or is there some important reason that they are split up to begin with? Fast advice is appreciated.

Hey there. I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition and i have absolutely no bass in my car. I'm leaning towards a downfiring sealed enclosure with two 10" Alpine Type R 1023D. They peak at 1800watts and 600watts RMS. The sealed enclosure provides them with 0.85 cubic feet of air space per sub. What amplifier can really make these subs sound crisp, clean, and provide deep full bass? Hifonics? Kicker? JL audio? Any thoughts on the amp or the set up in general would be greatly appreciated. hey guyz..... got a question. i had planned on running 4 awg from the battery terminal down to the fuse and then on the other end of the fuse continue with 4 awg and then put a distribution block. then run 4 awg to the other amps from the block. is this ok? or no? running 4 amps, all the same gauge wire

I think that I might run into some electrical problems in my new system that I'm currently putting together. I want to try and avoid it if I can to save money. I drive a 2000 Jetta VR6, it has a 120a stock alternator and this is my current battery My head unit is a Kenwood KDC-248u 4- Memphis PR 6.5's components in the doors My amp is an AQ1200d and this is where my first question comes in. I am looking at either getting 1 12 Icon, 1 15 Icon, or 1 12 Xcon. My question is should I play it safe and run them at 2ohms using ~870 watts or 1ohm using ~1200 watts. How much of a difference will there be in the sound and will it even avoid any electrical problems. My next questio…

Hello im new the audio world and am looking into getting my first system. I am looking at getting a Sundown SA-15 woofer, but am lost on what amp i should get. Im looking to spend around 150 or so on an amp but not sure what would be a good combo with the SA-15. Would an Audio Pipe AP-10001D be a good decision or an AQ 750. Any ideas?

Has anybody used/seen/heard anything from the new Audiopipe line? AQ has kinda alienated me recently and I'm looking to go in a different direction.

i thought i ordered 3 fi q series in the dual 2 ohm series, but some how i got the 1ohm instead..not sure if i made that mistake or if FI sent me the wrong ohm load..and im not here to lay blame..it is what it is not a big deal or something for me to cry about..my problem is this..i was going to wire them to my Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D 4 ohms: 850 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 1700 watts x 1 chan. 1 ohm: 2400 watts x 1 cha the guy doing my instal said with these subs im looking at a little under a .5 ohm load, but when i check with the 12volt web page it says 0.67 so not far off i guess, my question is, can i try running this amp at.5 ohm? anyone have any experience with thi…

Okay, so I was wondering if anyone had any input on this amplifier. I am basically asking if it was worth what I gave for it. I gave a good friend of mine $200 and a SAX-1200 for this amp. It slammed his Z18, and it looks like it's solid. Anyone had any problems or anything with this amp? Thanks

I am looking for a new 5 or 6 channel amp. I need flexible, decent crossovers to run active. Power isn't super critical. High quality is priority #1... Size #2 and Cost would be my lowest at #3. Any reccomendations?

Well I discovered today that my amp power input is loose and the plastic is melted...I attempted to unplug everything and plug it back up and my amp wouldn't come on..Could it still work or am I doing something wrong??

I just installed a Kicker 10"sub enclosure/ZX400.1 amp and 4 Kenwood 6.5 component sets in my 2000 Trans am running them off the stock Monsoon amp. I have an older Pioneer GM-H120 amp sitting around collecting dust. Specs aren't that much at: 4 x 30W @ 4 ohms (0.05% THD) 4 x 45W @ 2 ohms (0.05% THD) 2 x 90W @ 4 ohms bridged (0.05% THD) Would it be worth the trouble to replace the Monsoon with this? Hey guys my brother drives a 1996 Jetta GLS. The other day his car quit playing music. I know its not the head unit because I took it out and tested it and it works I even put in his older pioneer that also works and it played for about 1 second then it stopped playing music (same happened with the first head unit also). My question is what could be the problem cuz I have no clue. Any help would be appreciated

Ok so I mounted my amp on my enclosure. Well after blasting my system for a couple months it failed. One day my sub started sounding slappy. So I took my sub out, looked okay. Put it back in its place. Well I checked everything wiring etc. I then moved my amp around and heard a rattle. This is what I found, broken off capacitor, thats what DBR told me it was. And then I found 2 burned resistors behind the RCA input/outputs. Anyone that can help me get this back to playing please hit me up. I sent these same pics to DBR and they told me they couldnt fix it, and there was another shop I could ask about it. The board is not burned, it just looks black because of the burned r…
