So my amp is 3500watts and my alt only puts out 90amps....so if i hook those up is my amp gonna draw as much power as it can, or does it only draw a certain amount of power depending on how much i turn up my subwoofer?......................................Actually i just took a look at my amp and their is a level control im guessing for the power of the amp,,,,,,,,,,,,so ill just adjust that,,,,but can anyone tell me what the max rms i should put out ????

I guess i've decided to get a new battery, and need to know what is adequate and still cheap for my system... I have a clarion 1500 watt amp and stock battery under the hood in a 2000 honda accord. If I run a second battery to the trunk is a kinetik hc800 enough to get the job done(stay above at least 11v) or do I need more and who makes the best cheap batteries? My local shop has a used stinger sp1700 out of their demo van for only 200, that may be the way to go but im hoping to spend less if possible Please and thanks for replies

Hey there guys just needed some advice on my electrical. I have a 110amp stock alternator and i am running 2 12s skar vvs off a sundown saz2500 @ 2ohms so there getting 1200 rms. i will be running xs flex 0 gauge with a odyessy pc 1500 underhood. I am also running a skar 80.4 with front/rear skar coaxils. Wanted to know if my electrical is sufficent and another question was that using my sundown amp at 2 ohms, will that be less stress on my electrical rather then 1ohm? Thank you

I know that the Hifonics BXi 1610D is kind of like the ultimate budget amp, but I like the looks of the CRUNCH GPV2000.1 at almost a hundred dollars less. Think I will get rated wattage out of the crunch, or save a bit more and get the hifonics.

I am in the market for a new alarm with remote start, this will be going in my mustang. I'm going to have it professionally installed by a friends shop. Currently What I am looking for is an alarm with remote start, two way pager, a decent range 1000-1500ft, 2-Way remote with tone and vibe modes. I am looking into the Avital 5303, but I would prefer a remtoe that actually includes all the buttons into one but is not exactly required. I am looking for some suggestion and reviews. Price I would like to hit would be around 200-300 for the alarm its self. Thanks.

hello all, i have some questions regarding alt power. I currently have a 270a mechman, now my first question is do they have to be the same amprage, or can the other one be bigger or smaller? Second is do they have to be the same brand? Like can i use my stock 136a alt or a dc alt with mine or singer alt ? Would all that extra power mess with trucks electrical (05 dodge ram 4.7 ltr v8). If so, how would i be able to add another alt Have some voltage drop from 14.1 (when first starting truck) down to 12.1 at full tilt, running 2 crescendo bc3500s to 2 btls dual 2 ohms wired to 2 ohms and 1100.4, 3 runs of cca 0 ga positive and 3 negative to 5 interstate workoholic batter…

this amp does over 800rms from 4-1ohm making it VERY versatile. it's small and can fit all over, it has SICK on board xovers/subsonic, 24dB per octave I believe, built in cooling fan. just over built in general and a sick amp. I always see people going with other amps because they just don't know what they're missing... see the vid in my sig of one x600.1 pushing a single DD 9510F and tell me another budget 600watt amp that'll do that.. Ok so i got my aa-3,800.1 this is my first system where i will need to upgrade my electrical.. i dont have to much more money i can play with so what will i deff need to power this amp? i will be pushing two 12 DSS Ethos.. and i have a alpine 4 channel for highs... not trying to half ass it but i dont have much doe i can spend.. i have asked a few people but i get differnt answers... so what do u guys think ill deff need?

Am wanting to get another bettery to help upgrade my electrical. Does anyone know if the special application Kinerik HC 2000 is the same as the regular HC 2000 because i can find those for a lot cheaper price than the regular ones? I think i read somewhere that this years regular model has higher amps rating than last years special applications model. How true is this? Thnaks in advance for the response.

I will be running my front stage (MB Quarts QSD 216) active off a Sundown Audio 100.4 amp. I'm new to running "Active" so here's what I don't completely understand... Gain Settings. Anyone here ever tried to bypass, defeat, or remove the on-board x-over on an amp(class D specifically). My head unit can take care of this function. It would be nice to have up front control.

if you have 2 mono amps and you strap them are u getting double the power to that one channel on the master amp? Does it effect ur ohm load to the master amp from ur subs? like if you wire ur subs together to get 1 ohm would you still get 1 ohm power from the master even if it was strapped? thanks

I have a problem with my Pioneer aftermarket radio turning off then back on for no reason. I first thought it may have been loose wiring and hitting bumps in the road was causing it until it started happen while sitting still. I had it sent to service center and they couldn't duplicate it. Then had it sent directly to Pioneer and they supposed replaced motherboard. That didn't help. So sent it back and they ended up replacing the unit. Same thing happened again with new unit. I checked all the wiring and everything was tight. Even replaced some butt splices. When I mean turn off then back on, I'm referring to the unit turning back on to my station. well we built a wall, the amp is currently fairly far away form the subs, about 6 feet of speaker wire goes to each sub, we are currently using cheap 14 gauge speaker wire LOL, but we are pulling a 152.7@1800 watts clamped, my guess is we would gain quite a bit by changing out speaker wire, what would you guys recomend? there are 4 dd 1500 series 12" subs hooked up to a planet audio 3000 wired to half ohm in a wall. looking for the best speaker wire that will transfer the power most effectivly for the long 6 ft run. thanks, Anton Miller

This seems like such a simple question, but I can't find the answer. What are the advantages and disadvantages between two different amps that put out the same out of power but at different resistances? Mainly looking for answers on a more technical level, like which will put less strain on my electrical system or which is thermally/mechanically better for the subwoofer. I have a Fi SSD 10, D2 and copper coil, and I'm looking for a 1000w amp to power it.

what wire should i look into? im not really sure how to ask all these questions so lemme know if i get confusing. im pretty sure im running 1/0 gauge wire from my battery to my amp.
