Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)

I finally took the time out to measure my trunk for a box for my brand new still in the box 2 x 12" Dcon d4 subwoofers. This is going in a 1983 Cutlass Supreme. Height: 14.75" Width: 38" Depth: 21 &1/2". I have no idea how those measurements would convert into cubic feet for the subs. Will a box built to these specs work with these subs? Amp is a Rockford Fosgate 1051s rated at 1100 watts bridged. I jumped the gun and ordered subs before measuring. I realize the trunk is wide but not tall, so box height would be limited, which makes for a somewhat smaller box. Probably should have gone with 10"s. But I'll try to work with what I got. As title says, Purchased product - march 30th 2013 (approx) Product received - may 31st 2013 (approx 2 month wait.. no big deal gonna be awesome right) Product self destruct - cone broke outwards 7-20-13 (powered by rf t1500.1, yellow top battery, plenty of breaking, cone broke outward not inward, and had a grill stepped off the box (after my gfs RE SX got a hockey skate through it i will never do a naked install again) Contacted company July 27th to inform them of the issue, simple dust cap replacement, no big deal they promised me to ship it out asap. I was playing with winisd, and I have heard the xcon's are great in a sealed box, but when i typed in all the correct figures for a sealed box the freq response wasn't flat at all it started to drop at around 80hz and kept going down, but the ported box was flat down to the tuning freq????

yesterday i took my box with my icon in it out of my car because i had a leak in the trunk and it ruined part of the box. and when i took out the icon out of the box i noticed that the bottom magnet had cracked all the way around it. is this something to be worried about? sub was in a box 1.35 cubes at 32hz pushed by a saz 1000d set at 1000 watts. and the sub is no more than 3 months old.

I recently picked up a used 12" SSA DCON and finally was able to find time to install it this last week. In this installation, I am running: Subwoofer: 12" SSA DCON single 4 ohm Enclosure: 2.00ft^3 tuned to 31Hz with a 4" aero port Amplifier: MB Quart DSC1500.1D at 4 ohms (375rms) I initially had low expectations, as this was my first single 12" installation. We need some updates on some scores using these bad ass SSA Subs. What kind of numbers are being put up using the Xcons now that they have been out awhile? How are they holding up? Numbers on 12s, 15s, 18s would be nice. Lets go SSA guys!

Rated at 1750rms, but what could these really take? Could these handle 2500 for a few minutes?

Currently have a 15" Xcon sealed at about 3.2 cubes which I've had on various power from a BC3500d, Kenwood KAC-x810d, JL 500/1, rf T5001bd and I loved it(still love it).... This was all in a '03 Camry with an upgraded mechman 320a ... My situation is now I have a new 2016 Mazda3 hatch.... I dont really want to do much audio wise yet besides at bass.. clearly much smaller space... Im wondering how a Xcon will perform with 35hz tuning. I know its a little above the optimal tuning but since the majority of music doesnt dip that low I was thinking it may be a good idea. Anybody ever tried it?

Well this summer I am planning on walling off my 2000 accord coupe. Im already sponsored by Diablo Audio Technologies so I will be running their amplifiers. (most likely the 2500.1s) I have been doing a lot of searching for woofers and came across these and something about them is just screaming my name. I was originally going to go with 4 15" Havocs since they get piss loud and sound good doing it, but didnt really have the power handling I was looking for. The XCONs seem to be the one. Ok I think it was last sunday. I was delivering pizza, I had just been listening to music not loud while I was taken a delivery, I turned my car off and walked into the pizza shop for maybe 5 minutes tops. Came back out turned my car on and drove off. Still listening to music then i realized that the sub was not on. The amp was on so I just figured maybe a connection problem. Checked the terminals they were fine, I pushed the sub in to see if the coil was scratching and nothing. I then took it out the next day and no connection problems on the inside. I did a pop test and nothing. No signal at all. I checked the tinsels and they seem fine. I could only see them on the out…

I ordered my Icon 15 within the first 10 minutes of them being for sale, or something like that. box is going to be 3.08 cu ft after displacement. pretty much 3 cu ft tuned to 35 hz. Just got my 2 brand new soundstream amps this past week, PCA 2000d for sub, and PCA 2.260 for my JL Audio XR 5.25 components, also a brand new strand of KnuKonceptz Colosseus 1/0 power cable. =)) Building box, running power wire, and hooking up sub on saturday=) might start box sooner. Tossing a few ideas around for my sub stage and have a question. What would be the best enclosure volume for a 12" Xcon and a TC Sounds 15" PR? The PR will be tuned differently depending on my mood. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Colby

i was thinking about getting 2 icon 12s and i was wondering what would be a good amp to run them? i would like to stay cheap but i want a good quality amp. it probably be in the loaded enclosure from fisher customs. so the specs of that box

How much port area would you reccomend for a 12" zcon in 3 cubes @ 30hz? Will be powered by a saz2500d.

I've been eyeing the Dcons for a month or two and now that the price was dropped I'm defineatly getting three. I just don't know if i want tens or twelves. My question is how much wattage is safe for them? I plan on running them with an Elemetal Desings Nine.1 at one ohm for 1200 watts. I know the Dcon's are rated for three hundred watts and my amp is underatted and with my electrical upgrades I'd be at 1400-1500 watts. With all that said should i just go easy on the gains or downgrade my amp?

Trying to plan my system for when taxes come in. Trying to find out if I can fit two of these in my xb. Will be sealed cus I suck at making ported boxes and not sure if 2 sealed will fit or not. Measured the cargo area to be 7.49cf if I did my math right. Area was 38*20*17 for dimensions. Could go an inch or two higher on the height (20). Hopefully powered by a saz3000d. Dc 320 amp alt. Just trying to figure out how much to save up before taxes come. Also I would have to order d1 coils for that amp right?
