Whats a good amp to power two xcon 15's i can get two saz-1500 used for $350 or one saz-3500. Should i get the d1 or d2's?

I'm trying to see if I can fit a 12" XCON in my trunk. Are these small, medium, or large enclosure subs? I know the Icon's are meant for relatively small enclosures. Power would be 1200rms if that helps any. Would like ported if it can fit. Have 2-3 cubes to work with.

Here are the results to the SSA xCon 15" sub woofer in WinISD the enclosure is 4.0 cubic feet tuned to 28hz, I hope this helps. I noticed no one else has one out yet and these always help me greatly.

I'm looking at getting an AQ2200, now I don't think it is too much for the sub when it's broken in, but what about breaking it in? Just keep it low for a while? Thanks

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a 10 inch ICON in the single ported enclosure sold in the ssa store? It seems to be a little small for the ICON

can't find a 12" D2 icon for sale on the forums. must be a reason.

I'm buying either 2 12" xcons or 2 15" xcons depends on what thumper comes up with and recommends for my truck x-cab s-10. I see in the ssa store that I can buy a combo of each sub with a sun down 1500 but I would like to only run one amp for the subs. Would the 3500 be ok or should I go bigger or should I go ahead and buy 2 1500. P.S. I'm comming to the dark side from running 2 JL 12W6 and 2 Phoenix Gold Ti 600.2 amps. IT'S LOUD BUT I WANT MORE

anybody know the best amp to run 3 10"inch icons in a ported box?The budget is 350$ dollars,i would like new.Electrical will be big 3 and 1 kinetic battery in the back.

I know the DCON's are rated at 300 RMS, what is the maximum RMS that I can run to them daily?

So i just purchased a 1st generation 15" icon from Big E! (great guy) And i've decided to take some pictures and post 'em up here! I had to take the pictures anyways since i have to send them to the real owner of the sub. I decided that there might be a few guys up here who would appreciate seeing them as well! It's also kind of a part 2 for my review on Big E as a seller. I tried to capture the very minimal inperfections.

Been working with Thumper on building a box for my 2001 s-10 xcab. After many measurements and alot of emails, it looks like I'm going with 3 12" xcons in my truck. My questions are on the xcons should I get the 1ohm or 2ohm subs. And my plan is to use Sundown amps so which would be better the saz3500d or the saz4500d. I work in law enforcement and do alot of police /saftey fair shows plus other shows and comps. This will be a daily driver but I will compete with it so thats why I ask the question about what ohm I should buy.

Just woundering if a 12" Dcon would work well in a home theater system. It would be in a seald box powered by a 250 watt Dayton plate amp. Andanother question, can you get the Dcon without the logo on the dustcap? Caus I want to go with a real clean look.

I was looking through ssa products and none of them mention a shorting ring in the description. Do any of the ssa subwoofers use a shorting ring?

I currently already have a kicker 750.1 amp... is it alright to power the Icon at that ? or should i sell the kicker and get the sundown/ssa package thanks

I was leaning towards a eD 13ov.3 but with the power I have on tap DLS A3 1200 watts at 1 ohm I am going for the big boy. So if you have a used one in good mechincal and cosmetic shape please let me know. I may have a TREO SSX 750.1 (does 1500watts at 1 ohm) for trade if you want to add a few bucks to the swap. Hi everyone. I need to build a new enclosure for my pair of 15" XCONS. My ported box is coming apart and replacement is unavoidable. I want to build a sealed box and try them out that way for a little while to see if I like it better. If not, I will build a larger ported box later. The recommended optimal volume as listed on the SSA storefront is 2.75 - 3.0. I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, the smaller box will yield a tighter bass, but I am open to all suggestions and opinions. Space is not an issue. well i have had my Xcon for awhile now and just love it ( it sounds really good right now )... i have it hooked to my Hifoincs BXi 1208d... 1200 X 1 @ i ohm... i had this amp when i bought the Xcon, it is a couple years old.. so anyway what i am wanting to know is.... will i notice any changes in sound or output if i buy like a SAZ 1500d or another quality amp that does 1500 watts ?
