What series SSA sub would suit me best? I was looking @ FI BLs or Qs but lost instress because the guys on the Fi forum are to Baised. All i asked for is a sub that could get loud and sound good. They say you can't have Both. WTF! the reply is BLs get loud but lack lowend and SQ the Qs sound great has lowend but lack output. Please! Please help me decide , i don't want to Compromise SQ over Output. For the record i have power to spare and space to work with and i'm lookin @ 18s btw. All i hear is Get BLs NO get the Qs what type of music, what amp, what vehicle, ported or sealed. yada yada yada.

This topic is just out of curiousity. Which of these would be louder? They should take up almost the same amount of space as eachother. The 4 dcon 10s would be in 1.25 cu.ft each tuned to 33hz and the xcon 15 would be in 4.5 cubes tuned to 33hz. I'm just thinking about setups I'd like to get in the future when I get a Rav4 or a Highlander.

HOTTT TOPIC: WHO WOULD WIN? SSA XCON 18" VS FI BTL 18" VS digital designs DD9518g VS Incriminator audio's DeathPenalty 18" I like the XCON's they are my number one pick right now, B/C I can afford at least one of them sometime this year and all i read about them is great, but what about the other brands? I am looking for: (In preference order) -Sound quality 1st -Loudness 2nd -size of subwoofer 18" or 15".... maybe just maybe a 12" but i have a feeling that would sacrifice too much loudness for only a minor increase in sound quality. please feel free to recommend any other sub brands and models i should look at, im not buying anything as of yet. I am only looking for a…

I love the look of the SSA subwoofers but I wonder.... Why are they priced the way they are? I don't doubt the pricing but I want to know what it is about them that makes them worth it? Please try to be specific/technical in your answer. Thanks!

So brown santa (UPS guy) dropped off a fairly heavy package today. I just want to say this thing is AMAZING. Bye bye RD Audio, HELLO SSA! Oh, and to Mark, if you're reading this sorry about getting so impatient about the build time, the wait was more than worth it! I got it installed in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab in a ~4 cube box tuned to 30hz. This driver is godlike compared to my two 12" RD Sonances. I couldn't be happier.

Some backstory about me..... OK, I've been into audio for a few years. I always ran what the locals consider inferior or off brand subs. There's just something great about running paper cone house subs (adire audio shivas) and beating everyone in town in the spl comps I wanted to improve on my previous score of 148.7 on the dash using 2 shivas. (The meter was a terrasonde xmeter that I suspect measures about 6-8 db higher than a TL) I ran 2 S15L7's for about a year and only hit a 150.5 on that same meter. I was still the loudest person in town, but I know in the spectrum of spl comps, that setup was a joke. I decided to build a wall that summer. Well, after some tr…

so, i have 2 12" Kicker L7's that i got for a deal. i was going to pair them with a sundown 2500.1. @ 2ohms, they would each see 600rms. (they r 750 rms. so close enough). questions is, if i were to get a single 18" XCON and put it with a sundown 1500.1, so it would be getting 1500rms... would it be louder than the 2 L7's? i know there is no way of saying for sure. but assuming they are both in the optimal enclosures, which would be louder (in you guy's opinions) the Black Friday sale has me thinkin that i might wanna go this route. it/they will be going in my 1994 Toyota Camry wagon so plenty of space. rapid responses would be great as i would have to sell these, and d…

So its time to finally do this review. First things first Mark and Aaron are great guys who run an honest business and sell amazing products. As of now they have been in my car play music for a year and half. They are still in perfect working order and the spiders and surround remain firm. Coil has no signs of wear and there is no mechanical noise what so ever. These play music for me daily and i mean every day and they get a good bit of abuse on the weekends ejecting people from my car. I can honestly go to say they can play anything and everything with extreme precision and authority. I cant speak enough good things about them nor can anyone who gets to hear them. I hav…

Has anyone tried a xcon in a 4th order? I have 1 10 right now on a saz1500@ .5 in a 1.75^3ft tuned to 31hz with 31" port area. It's in a 18 wheeler and am having trouble getting it as loud as I'm sure it's capable of. I previously tried a 1.25 sealed and enclosures didn't make much of a difference. This vehicle previously had a difficult time due to cancellation. The space I have to work with is 13.5h, 37w, 23d. I was gonna try using a smaller enclosure and less port, maybe down to 13" per cube. I'm about to order a second 10 and another 1500 to get the cone area and power up. But I wanted to eliminate the canceling of the cone/port and try a 4th order with the port firin…

Does anyone know the exact mounting hole diameter for the XCON 12? Not the individual hole size. But the entire mounting circle.
