I'm in search mode right now for my second setup. Does anybody here knows the correct enclosure and tuning so I can obtain the most flattest response for the XCon 12"? I know I can achieve it in sealed enclosure but I'm leaning towards ported enclosure. I really love to listen to wide variety of music from rnb to techno and folk to love songs. Thanks

After a long time debating what sub I'm gonna choose, I decided I'm gonna go with an Xcon 15. My question simply is, whats the ideal size for a sealed enclosure for 1 Xcon 15. I have a Crown Vic, so I have plenty of room. Thanks in advance.

I've got an xcon 15d2 run by a sundown saz1500d they have been hooked up for about a month and both are great. I was driving a few days ago and everything was fine i parked my truck and went to move it a few hours later and it wasn't playing rite. It plays quiet and when you put your ear to it, it makes a buzzing noise. i pulled the sub out and it does not smell burnt and both coils read about 1.8-9 ohms on the DMM. Sorry for the long post but i have no idea what is wrong. Any help would be great.

So I'm going to running the new XCON 15' D2 Subwoofer in a custom spare tire enclousure and I'm torn on SEALED OR PORTED@35hz? The car's goal is daily driver ""SQL"". SUNDOWN SAZ-1500D is the amp with MORE than enough upgraded electrical to support it.

Hi- I'm trying to design my box for the Xcon's I am going to purchase soon. I have 13.58 cubic feet gross to work with in my trunk. Problem is, I want to do forward firing sealed off from the trunk and the opening behind the seats is not big enough to accommodate the port. The opening is 35" long and 20" tall. I can't fit a large enough port to be effective. I am considering porting through the rear deck with 6" aeros or something (maybe some huge slot port through the rear deck?), would this be effective? I'm assuming I could still seal all around the ports and have it sound good. My other options are, sealed 15's, sealed 18's (that'd be cool, but idk), or ported 12's. I…

Hey guys, I've got a Toyota Echo 4dr hatch, and I've got a Sundown SAE1200d and an XCon 15" fighting for space in the hatch area. I won't be able to make the 2.0cf smallest recommended sealed box volume recommended on SSA's tech section. I modeled the sub and it looks like a Qtc of 0.7 needs less than 2.0cf... unless I screwed up. So the ultimate question: has anybody used the Xcon 15" in less than 2.0cf and what did it sound like? Thanks!

I want to run a Sundown SAZ1500D v.2 and a XCON 15D2. I have a 2008 Hyundai Elantra and unfortunately a 15" ported Khaotik enclosure will not fit. So my question is : do I buy a 15" sealed Khaotik enclosure or a 12" ported Khaotik enclosure? Which of the two will give me the most output when powered by a SAZ1500D v.2? Thanks!

I have read the thread on the box specs, saying aim for 7 cubes and 100 inches of port area for each XCON 18. I have also watched the vid from the FIRE IT UP show and doubt that box is anywhere near those specs. I have 99 dodge durango, (not the most space in the world) and trying to get the most from it. I am new to box building, tired of shelling out high dollars for someone to build me and my friends a basic box. I can get the 7 cubes a piece, but not too sure about the port area thing. with my space it will be hard to get 200 sq inches. Some box calculators dont even show port area, just tuning frequency. I want to tune about 31 hz. How important is the high port ar…

Ok I have been beating my head against a wall trying to decide on which driver to run. My initial thought was to run a pair IDMAX 12's. However, I have some reservations on doing pretty much the same thing I have done time and again. So with that in mind I have been pursuing large displacement drivers. I need something that will work in a sealed enclosure, which the xcons seem to be fairly close with an EBP around the level that would work well in this setup. I will be powering this subwoofer with a mmats 2000.1 so it should see around its rms rating, granted box rise ect you won't see close to it, but that's ok. Alright so here are a couple of questions for you is this …

I recently read a review for the AA SMD 18 and they identified the sub as a SQ sub. With that being said below are the results of the testing.. Score Chart Musical score: 7 of 10 Overall Sound Quality: 8 of 10 Tonal Balance: 7 of 10 Low Frequency Extension: 7.5 of 10 Clarity at Low Volume: 6.5 of 10 Clarity at High Volume: 8.5 of 10 Impact: 9 of 10 when testing they said the sub did not perform well (in terms of sound quality) at low volume. How does the Xcon 18 sound at low and high volume?

Just a quicky video I made. I just noticed that when it shows me turning up the bass knob it appears to be at full, when in fact it's only half, the knob spun out one day becuase of the heat down here so the dot doesn't line up to where it's actually at lols. Anyways, here's the video...

Ok, gettin a little worried about all the warnings I have recieved that the HDC3s don't get low and have a funny hollow sound to them. Just sayin, if more then 3 people tell you that you look like a jackass, you might want to take a look in the mirror, lol. So, I am really liking the Xcon 12 D2. Plays low, sounds great, and is a sexy driver to boot. Question is, do you think a Xcon 12 D2 and a Audiopipe AP18001D would be a good match. I know what alot of people will say about AP, but I know they are solid amps that do rated power. Lookin at a box 2.2^3 net tuned at 32Hz. I listen to mostly rap, but also do some oldies like Al Green and a little rock. I want a low and loud…
