Well, currently, I have two 10'' TC-7s. I'm looking to upgrade next summer, and I wanted to do four 8's, but I really wanted to try icon, which would force me to a 10''. Just curious is if there is anything floating around for an 8'' to be made.

Hello. I have been looking at the Icon and it seems very impressive. I usually use SQ based sub woofers (alumapro, dayton, zapco, idq) and I have been looking for something with a little more powerful low end while retaining tonality and be under 7" inches deep. The icon looks like the best bang for buck. My favorite sub was an audiomobile mass 12 and Im trying to get a sub that had nice low end like that one to to me but I would like to try a new sub as well so I dont want a tc-9. The box is between 1 -1.2 cuft sealed and will be filled. I purchased a rockford t5001bd for this upgrade and it produces 725 watts at 2 ohms and 1014 at 1 ohm. I would prefer to keep 2 ohm l…

  7. I was leaning towards a eD 13ov.3 but with the power I have on tap DLS A3 1200 watts at 1 ohm I am going for the big boy. So if you have a used one in good mechincal and cosmetic shape please let me know. I may have a TREO SSX 750.1 (does 1500watts at 1 ohm) for trade if you want to add a few bucks to the swap. I realized that I do have enough post to post the the forsale section so if there is a need mods please delete this.

first off, hey everyone, new to this forum. im usually on other forums but figured my question would be best answered here well im really interested in the Icon and a few other subs. but i got a couple questions: 1) I wanna do 2 15" Icons sealed in my car. i can only fit about 5 cuft tops. I have a couple amps in mind and all of them do about 2500rms. Would that be too much for the Icon? Should i only put 2k on them? Also, should I make the box towards the smaller side around 4-4.5 cuft or towards the bigger end 4.5-5cuft? Or should i just call off the sealed and do 2 12's ported? 2) I think I've narrowed down my decisions to a few subs. 2 12" AA havocs ported ran off abo…

Hey i just got my 12" icon D1 in last week and i must say i like it! It's in a 2.2cuft box tuned to 32hz powered by a jbl gto1201.1(1100rms rated) with 0 gauge knu wiring. It slams the lows like crazy. My last setup was a pioneer 3004spl in a 1.75cube box tuned to 32hz. Now the icon is classified as a sq woofer but it blows the pioneer out of the water in both sq and spl. I love how i can turn down the gains and lpf if i want some smooth clean bass and then set my gains to 40hz @ -6db and have bass that literally rattles my rearview mirror right off. I am very impressed in my purchase and for 263 dollars shipped to my door with a sticker lol you can't go wrong. Al…

  11. I've been meaning to do this for a while but haven't had a chance yet. 15" Icon Home Sealed Lower power - 4-5.5 cubes Higher power - 2.5-3 cubes sealed Home Ported Music - 4 cubes tuned to 30 Hz Home Theatre - 5 cubes tuned to 20 Hz (can tune lower if wanted) Vehicle Sealed 2-2.5 cubes sealed Vehicle Ported 3.5-4 cubes tuned anywhere from 28-35 Hz Any of those should work just fine. It's very important that you match your enclosure to your application. If you do so, you'll be very happy.

If you put 2 12's in the same box same power which would sound better? I know its going to be kinda biased but i am debating between these two subs.

Would a pair tuned to 30hz give me a good amount of low end? Should I tune lower? Subs are going in the trunk of a 04 Ford Crown Victoria, port and subs rear firing. Would a 1500d running at .5 ohm be too much power for them or just right? Already have the amp, just took a notice to these subs recently and all the positive feedback on them. Any help or nudge in the right direction is greatly apperciated, thanks.

  17. my first post.. lol I know, but what better place to ask about icon's than the main " icon " thread area right? I was simply wanting to know if i'd be safe using 2 mm4000.1 on 8 10" icons, provided I do have very decent electrical in my opinion... I was wanting to know if the 10s could do the 1000ish per sub. They look awesomely built and have caught my attention for some time, but money has been going to other things recently as I clear out what I have left in my current system of dd/sundown. I'll probably get told to just look at their specs etc, but woofers are underrated all the time, so who's to say I can't ask lol. Any help appreciated and thank you in advance. Be …

Okay as all of you may or may not know I am home on leave from the Middle East. I am doing this review in my spare time (which has not been much due to some family issues). We are looking to pick up 2 or 3 Bass Race competitors. We would like them to be able to get it going for the remainder of this season. If you are interested, we are looking for someone with bass race experience, if not, having a good deal of SPL time under their belt. The ICON is a good bass race candidate. This is not a sponsorship. As we are way too small of a company to give away equipment. This is for people who can do a good number of shows. This is in the beginning stages. I would compete myself, but family and work do not allow me the time to build and travel to shows. The drivers would be at dealer cost, if amplifiers were needed also we could take care…
