Okay as all of you may or may not know I am home on leave from the Middle East. I am doing this review in my spare time (which has not been much due to some family issues). Well I think Im goin to go with a Zcon 18 for my trailblazer. I have enough room for the 18 but what would be best for the box size and tuning. I know 6 to 8 cubes is optimal with 31-37hz tuning but what have you done or do you think is the best? Also how should I have the sub and port face? I'm pretty sure sub up port back. For amp and electrical, I have a crescendo BC2k and a deka 9a31 in the back. I'm not going for numbers, just straight daily. I listen to mostly rap and that's what I want it to sound best with. My max dimensions are 46w x 32.5d x 20h. thanks in advanced and if you need anymore info please ask.

got my icon 15" today , looks pretty good and solid. after doing some reading i wish i would have spent the extra money and got a xcon and sold my jl 1000 n got a sundown amp but i think the icon will be pleasing to my ears :bigclap: ill know next week when my box arrives maybe ill try a xcon 12" and sundown amp in my camaro or mustang if i can get enough airspace nice work ssa keep it up

I recently purchased a dual 2ohm Zcon 15" sub and I was hoping to get some feedback from others. I am currently running a Hifonics BRZ2100 to the sub and it sounds good but I know I'm under powering this beast. Consequently, I am looking to upgrade to something more powerful. The amps I had in mind are. DDM3B, American Bass VFL 150, or Sundown 2500. If anyone has a similar set up or had or currently running one of these amps please give me some feedback and or if you have experienced any issues. Any suggestions would also be helpful. Thanks.

I've been tryin to read up as much info as I can for the xcon and bl so I can compare etc.. I'm gnna be runnin a single 15"(bl or xcon) powered by an saz1500 in a Pontiac grand am.. So any suggestions or opinions of why I shuld choose one brand over the other i'd greatly appreciate it

I am extremely interested in buying a ssa icon 15 but I am concerned because my amp puts out 1500 wrms @ 1 ohm. Will the icon hold up to that kinda power?

I have room for either one. Amp is an ED Nine.1 (1200 @ 1 ohm). My music preference is rap and I like deep bass and SPL. I'm sure either setup will satisfy my SQ requirements. Car is a 2005 Mustang. Very small trunk. Thank you

hey guys, trying to figure out what to use- recommended enclosure looks to be about the same, I may do about 4.5cuft ported for the pair of them, tuned around 30ish? (lower maybe I see recommend down to 26hz?) I've always felt the enclosures I've built down around 30hz have had plenty of low end but I've never tuned one that low so maybe I don't know what I'm missing. Going in a 2007 acura rdx (fancy cr-v) amp is a mmats 3k, wondering if I should slightly over power the icons or have a damn reliable pair of xcons. 90% of the time they'll be babied by my significant other as it's her DD. the other 10% of the time i'll be abusing the crap out of them when I drive it. im wanting to try a new sub to get a little better sound quality. the box is right at 1.0 after port and sub displacement. i think 1.35 or 1.4 before. the problem is i only have 7 inches of mounting depth. i noticed the subs are built a little differently but each have the same mounting depth for the 10". mainly what im wanting to know is which sub would be better with the mounting depth i have.

I'm looking for the most output in the trunk of a Nissan Maxima. On a SAZ-1500D the options are a pair of 12" icons (4 cubes @ 30hz) or a single 15" xcon (4 cubes @30hz). SQ is not a factor because it is not relavant to my goals. I only listen to rap and R&B, so "lows" are not an issue. Just looking for a daily ground pounding system. I hope I've provided enough info.
