Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)

I'M looking to build a louder setup. I currently had a Dcon 10" in a 1.15 cu/ft tuned to 31hz drived by a Memphis PRD1000.1 at 4 ohm( 300rms but never clamped it..) I got the space build optimal box spec of those woofer but probably 5 cu/ft at 30hz.I like low tuned box.I listen to every style of music so i need good reponse. IDK what way go.. Buy 3 other Dcon or 2 Icon 12" ?? For sure, I'll bought an other amp to well feed those woofers even if a keep Dcon line.. A solid 2000rms amp and i'll be gently with the gain.I like my driver cause it's sound very clear and i'm satisfied by is reponse. Opinions? Thanks

Well, I ended up pushing my sub too hard and fried one of the tinsel leads. So now I'm rethinking what I want to do. After looking around the SSA store, I think I've decided to go with a DCON with the single 4 ohm coil option. My amp does 300 @ 4 ohms and 600 @ 2 ohms. I plan on running just a single one for now, and adding a second one in a few months (once the weather warms up and I can build a box for them). Sound like a good plan? I've been wanting to try some SSA's for a while now.

got my icon 15" today , looks pretty good and solid. after doing some reading i wish i would have spent the extra money and got a xcon and sold my jl 1000 n got a sundown amp but i think the icon will be pleasing to my ears :bigclap: ill know next week when my box arrives maybe ill try a xcon 12" and sundown amp in my camaro or mustang if i can get enough airspace nice work ssa keep it up

I recently purchased a dual 2ohm Zcon 15" sub and I was hoping to get some feedback from others. I am currently running a Hifonics BRZ2100 to the sub and it sounds good but I know I'm under powering this beast. Consequently, I am looking to upgrade to something more powerful. The amps I had in mind are. DDM3B, American Bass VFL 150, or Sundown 2500. If anyone has a similar set up or had or currently running one of these amps please give me some feedback and or if you have experienced any issues. Any suggestions would also be helpful. Thanks.

I am extremely interested in buying a ssa icon 15 but I am concerned because my amp puts out 1500 wrms @ 1 ohm. Will the icon hold up to that kinda power?

I have room for either one. Amp is an ED Nine.1 (1200 @ 1 ohm). My music preference is rap and I like deep bass and SPL. I'm sure either setup will satisfy my SQ requirements. Car is a 2005 Mustang. Very small trunk. Thank you

hey guys, trying to figure out what to use- recommended enclosure looks to be about the same, I may do about 4.5cuft ported for the pair of them, tuned around 30ish? (lower maybe I see recommend down to 26hz?) I've always felt the enclosures I've built down around 30hz have had plenty of low end but I've never tuned one that low so maybe I don't know what I'm missing. Going in a 2007 acura rdx (fancy cr-v) amp is a mmats 3k, wondering if I should slightly over power the icons or have a damn reliable pair of xcons. 90% of the time they'll be babied by my significant other as it's her DD. the other 10% of the time i'll be abusing the crap out of them when I drive it. I'm looking for the most output in the trunk of a Nissan Maxima. On a SAZ-1500D the options are a pair of 12" icons (4 cubes @ 30hz) or a single 15" xcon (4 cubes @30hz). SQ is not a factor because it is not relavant to my goals. I only listen to rap and R&B, so "lows" are not an issue. Just looking for a daily ground pounding system. I hope I've provided enough info. well.. got the sub and put it in................... turned the gain up some................. well most the way up..........................then my boy and i turned a cd on.............. and........................ how the hell did you ever build such a .......... GREAT SUB.. that is the best sounding sub i have ever heard... every note is so clear yet pounds so hard... my boy could not belive it .... it was worth every penny i paid then some... and that is even with my not so great amp... next will be a nice amp.. and i will be buying it from you guys..... thanks for everything !!!!!!!!! my boy want's2 12"s now.. he has 2 rockford P3's .. they get loud.... b…

just installed 2 brand new 12 icons. got into an accident and an object broke the plastic face. Is this just a dust shield that can be remover and replaced or patched. or will it need to be sent in to be fixed? i havnt had time to remove it from the box to see more. thanks.
